After getting an estimate to repair my gutters over the summer, I waited to have them repaired…read morebecause I had too many renovations going on at the same time. I kept Justin's contact information and gave him a call anticipating the winter storms that may soon be approaching. He responded right away and remembered our previous correspondence. He followed up within 2 days to give me a new estimate since the gutters on the side of the house began to leak as well. We communicated via text, which was the best form of communication for me. He explained what needed to be repaired thoroughly and listed all the materials needed. This would be the third time I had a contractor come to repair my gutters within the last 5 years. It has been a nightmare trying to get my gutters fixed, however this time around I felt confident in hiring Justin and his crew. He sent me a quote detailing the work that needed to be done. I had fascia boards installed, aluminum capping, vinyl vented soffit, mesh covers, and a new gutter replaced only in the front of the house due to my neighbor's gutters hanging a foot onto my side of the house causing a waterfall every time it rained. Since the gutters were pretty new, I did not get new gutters for the rest of the house. They had removed and reinstalled my existing gutters. He was very fair in his pricing, so I moved forward with the contract. And he gave me a 10 year warranty! His partner, Ramon, came with installers the following day and completed the job within 2 days. They were all polite, professional, and accommodating. I would definitely recommend them. The job was beautiful and they cleaned up afterwards!

Terrible experience all around I made the mistake of hiring…read moreMorris Renovations to replace all the windows in my house. I waited 8 months for the new windows. Morris Renovations kept blaming the delay on the factory and on covid. I find it very hard to believe because this was late 2021, the first half of 2022 when covid wasn't that big of a deal anymore. Also, I picked Marvin windows which are made in the US using Canadian lumber. Regardless, during those 8 months, it was incredibly tough to get in touch with anyone from Marvin who could provide me an update. My "project manager" Roman was nowhere to be found and would not return my calls. The guy who answers the phone just said he didn't know anything. For "security reasons" he would not provide me a direct number for Roman so I basically had no way to reach my supposed "project manager". You can't just take a 7K deposit and go MIA. Anyway, I was just about to lose all hope, when, miraculously, after 8 months, my windows were finally ready. On the day of installation, however, it turned out that one of my windows had been "misplaced" and no one could tell me where it was or when I could get it. 2 weeks later, they "found" my window. We set up a new install date, only to get it rescheduled with less than 24h notice. I didn't even get an apology. I'm still waiting on that missing window.... Now, as to the installation itself, it was far from top-notch workmanship. I had to go around and ask the guys to add more insulation foam in spots they had missed. They scratched and damaged the new windows in a couple of places, and they broke the molding on the interior so now I have to get that replaced too. Their caulking looks like a 2-year-old did it. To top it all off, they almost yelled at me for picking a big bow window with fixed panes because it is harder to install without specialized equipment that Morris does not have. All in all, my experience with Morris Renovations was extremely disappointing. After spending the equivalent of a new car, I was expecting to at least get quality to match the price. Sadly, all Morris has to offer is good salespeople. Once you've signed on the dotted line, you will get nothing but frustration and disappointment. Learn from my mistake and find a better contractor. UPDATE: I finally got my missing window. After reading my original review, the guys really tried their very best this time. Their best is just not good enough, unfortunately. They didn't use house wrap to prevent water intrusion. They didn't shim any of my windows. They somehow managed to over-tighten some screws and had nails popping out on the finished side of a 10K bow window. Not to mention all the scratches and dents they managed to put in. Their caulking is still deplorable. And they should not be allowed to touch moulding or any finished carpentry. I am mostly mad at myself because instead of going with the contractors I know, I decided to spend a little more for "professional window installers" thinking they would actually know what they are doing. I know how hard it is to find good contractors. I really hope this review helps prevent people from doing the same mistakes I did.

I liked that we were kept informed on the progress; we regularly received photos and communications especially when sections of the roof were found to be in rough shape. I did mention I wanted it replaced, but they said the best thing to do was to use white silicone coating and it will stop anything. So, I said ok. They got the job done in June of 2020. It looked good, not what I was looking for, but I trusted them and I thought it was fine. They also gave me a 5 year warranty. Fast forward to Autumn of 2024, and it started leaking again. I called and said I want to use the warranty. Communication was not as great. They constantly told me they are going to troubleshoot it and get to the bottom of it. It seemed like they were surprised that the silicone didn't stop it. They did visit, but kept on saying it doesn't look like their work, but they will get a guy who can give a masterclass on finding leaks. They never returned and the warranty had expired as time slipped by. I ended up going with their competitors. The competition replaced the whole roof, found the leak in the process, and used ingenuity to prevent it from ever leaking again. DeMuro was a huge disappointment and I regret spending $4,750 with them. They did replace my gutters and I was happy about that, but they subbed that out, so not really their work.
