Wait was definitely shorter and not many patients. After checking in at the front, I was immediately brought into the exam room. Within a few minutes, NP Thao Giang came in. Thao was very professional. She showed concerns and answered all my questions. After the examinations, she prescribed me antibiotics. Thao and the staff were very friendly. I definitely would come back here again if i am sick and do not want to wait a long time at an urgent care :)

After dodging Covid for over four years, I finally got it (fully vaccinated and boosted) and was shocked to see those double lines on the home test kit. First of all, this virus is not a joke! I've had dozens of upper respiratory infections and flus over my fifty years but I've never been unable to move out of bed and had fever dreams so weird Hollywood should tap my brain for some new storylines. I managed to make a video visit appointment with Sutter walk in clinic two days later and was pleased even in my spacey state how helpful the intake staff was (phone call about three hours before check in) and I was promptly seen at my appointment time by a competent and helpful Nurse Practitioner, even though spacey me had my volume on zero and I needed to log in two times. My symptoms were addressed and I got prescribed a cough medicine and Paxlovid which was available later that afternoon. Definitely recommend a walk in video visit from this clinic, a first for me. And, this new Covid FLirT variant is a nasty little thing. Stay safe out there, everyone.

The Dr recommended I get tested for Covid and the Flu but told me she couldn't give me anything for it if they came back positive. I said I won't pay for a test that will reap no benefits if you are just going to tell me to go home and get rest. I asked to be tested for pneumonia but she refused, saying she won't test me if we don't rule out Covid and the Flu first. Ummm... WHAT? Pneumonia is a secondary infection that can develop anytime. As well, if I want to get tested and pay for a specific test I should be able to. I walked out so fast with no help. Come to find myself positive for pneumonia for another clinic a few days later. A different urgent care that actually listens to their patients, NOT this place. Never going to come here again. I would drive out of my way 50 miles if I had to so as long as I don't have to go here.

I had something in my eye, so I thought this location is closer to me. As the sign outside says walk in welcome. I told the front desk person the situation, she took my ID and then told me, that they couldn't squeeze me in. The front desk person told me, I can come back the following day. It's because the doctor had a lot of paperwork to catch up on. WTF. She referred me to drive to Folsom, I told her driving that far distance will be difficult because of my eye. Then she pond me of on other urgent cares. The prior year I had the same experience, where they tell me that I need to make an appointment. They need to take the sign off WALK IN WELCOME because it's all BS. The prior year I was told that facility was ONLY for like physicals and small issues, that is what they are equipped with. The situations I had were not major health issues. They need to put appointments ONLY and not give patients that false security of walk in welcome. Then when they tell me the doctor has a lot of paperwork to complete. As much as most people have to pay for healthcare, this is totally unacceptable. I going to get in contact with corporate representatives to show how a doctor has a lot of paperwork to do to see a patient. This Kaiser facility is small, cramped with little privacy when you check in. The front desk staff…read moreneed to brush up on basic customer services skills (ie. Greet the patient, make some type of eye contact, stop having conversations with your co workers in the middle of checking in patients) I've had several PCP's at this location all of which were gatekeepers (the way Kaiser trained them). They will not refer you to specialty care. They are rewarded by Kaiser for low referral rates. Their goal is to not let you past the PCP level. This leads to shoddy healthcare, mis-diagnosis', emotional trauma for the patient and permanent lasting physical damage. This is the Kaiser way. If you cannot advocate HARD for yourself this is not the insurance company for you.
