The unit 2C nursing and CNA staff were kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. They took great care of me through a scary experience. The facility itself is very nice and comfortable, and I had a private room with a bathroom. I was able to have visitors during the day which was nice.

Really bad experience. Unnecessary tests, sending tests to out of network labs, landed up having to…read morego to another Urgent Care for further diagnosis. Details: went it for sinus infection that was still lingering after a course of antibiotics. Right after walking in they did a Covid and Flu test. I told them I took two test already, one the day before and another that very same day. $100 bucks gone (on top of the urgent care visit cost). And the provider didn't even take my sample properly. Barely touch my nose. Then they took a throat swab for a sinus infection. I would have thought a nasal swab for bacterial culture would be more appropriate. Same thing - barely touch my throat and sent to an out of network lab. $550 gone. Then a follow up call to go over the results that lasted 5 mins. $100 bucks gone. In the call the provider literally says either you don't have any infection OR the previous provider didn't take the sample properly. Like that is literally your job!! 2 days later, I went to another urgent care that prescribed me another course of antibiotics that actually cured the infection. Spent $1000 bucks for literally nothing!

I knew I was pre type 2 diabetic, but my a1c number was fine, which previous to Sutter, Kaiser never looked at. They only ever looked at that day's mg/L or whatever the units are, the one that's supposed to be less than 100. I also have borderline high blood pressure, but they had measured it a few times here, and I had some previous numbers I showed him too. All good, don't need to be on medication. I had Mathew Felix. Not on purpose, but I asked him about a whole bunch of stuff, and from his answers, he was not only quite knowledgeable, but I could tell he still reads about all this to stay up to date. Great bed side manner, friendly, ran all the tests. Immediatiately referred me to El Camino ER for further tests and possible MRI. She called in the official request ahead of time for me and everything. Don't think you should go to Urgent Care very often but if you do, I'd ask if Dr. Nguyen is on deck. Highly recommend her.

The lovely lady who works there gave me three prescriptions for my flu, (anti-cough, lidocain for throat pain keeping me up at night, and some ear drops) the copay was low, and I got a strep test. I'm holding off on getting a regular primary care physician until my insurance changes to Kaiser in May, so this was perfect for fulfilling my basic medical needs. I wouldn't say it was super high quality medical care, but it's two blocks away from my house and I don't have a car, and I do have the flu so it was pretty much ideal given that all I wanted was to be home in bed. Another benefit of the minute clinic is that it's just walk in walk out, and you don't spend time in a waiting room with a lot of other sick people.
