I came here today for a walk-in pre-operative chest x-ray, and had a great experience…read more Dignity Health Advanced Imaging - Folsom is actually split between two medical suites in two nearby buildings in the medical office park across from Mercy Folsom. 1625 Creekside Suite 101 performs x-rays, ultrasounds, mammograms, and DEXA scans, while CT and MRI scans are taken care of across the way at 1635 Suite 100. Upon walking into the office, I was asked to scan my temperature, put a surgical mask on over my own, and have a seat. Having called ahead to see how the wait room looked, I knew that I would not be waiting for long. Soon, I was called back by the x-ray technician. He gave me a gown to change (partially) into in a dressing room across from his office, and instructed me to come in whenever I was ready. He was extremely professional as he helped me tie my gown, don the gonadal shield, set my braids to the side, and assume various positions for the imaging. He was very gentle and kind, which meant a lot to me. When the procedure was over, he instructed me that the radiologist would look at the x-ray, notate their impressions, and send them to my surgeon. Overall, I was in and out in about 45 minutes or less. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful, and the technician was quite efficient and professional. Obviously, I hope I don't have to do this again, but if and when I do, I would probably return to this location.

Came back around 1pm and still waiting for paperwork after they called and said it was ready to go. Mind you there is not one single patient in here. Very frustrating. Don't know if i will be returning next time for a physical.

The nurse looked me dead in my face and said, "All it's gunna do is bleed" and refused to drain it. She didn't even inspect the area WHATSOEVER. She took one look at it and just writes me an antibiotic script, then sends me on my way. After going to the SECOND urgent care that day, the nurses there took care of me and told me it was absolutely ready to be drained. Maybe if the nurse at carbon health actually took a second to inspect the area, than she would have put together the pain this abscess was causing me, and took care of it. Nope. She didn't even have me lay down to get a better took or anything. Instead the vibe I got from this whole experience at Carbon Health Urgent Care Folsom was 'I ain't tryna do all that'

This facility is the only one in Sutter in our area that has an ultrasound and nurse on staff for visualizing veins for the IV insertion. I asked! As soon as I was dressed in the hospital gown, Carly was the nurse who ably, quickly, and painlessly put in the IV line in a couple minutes. She had a competent and kind nature. I was very grateful as my MRI in February required 9 tries with lots of pokes and 45 minutes for a successful IV placement-all this happened while I was in the head cage midway through the MRI and I had to remain still. A bit of trauma remains from that experience. Jim was the MRI technician and he was no-nonsense, reassuring, professional, and all around excellent. The 3T MRI machine at this location was super comfortable and the head cage which keeps your head still was ample in size compared to others I've been in. The comfort factor of the machine was excellent. They had a film playing nature scenes and a radio station selection which helped to distract me. The MRI experience was 5/5 Signage to the imagining center was so poor we had to drive in a circle to find the suite which added unnecessary stress for a time sensitive check in. We followed the arrows but were led astray. Imaging is at the very front- and there are two separate imaging suites to top it off. There are three different medical entities in three very large multi suite adjacent buildings- Kaiser, Sutter, and UC Davis. It was also confusing to leave the imaging center to the lobby after getting dressed...again, better signs would help a lot. You are a bit confused after some of these tests.

My chiropractor sent a referral to Advantage Plus MRI clearly stating an order for a lumbar MRI. Advantage Plus MRI reached out to me complaining that the instructions were not clear, and that they wanted my chiropractor to send another referral. Advantage Plus MRI then reached out to my attorney asking for my UM/UIM coverage limits. My limits ($30,000 per person) were then sent to Advantage Plus MRI. They then denied to do the imaging. The main frustration, of course, is not that Advantage Plus MRI seemingly arbitrarily denied to do the imaging, but that they drew out the process for a week or more, which ultimately has unnecessarily delayed my treatment.

I visited the Mercy Imaging Center in Folsom on Friday for a CT scan and I was very impressed with…read morethe care I received. I had never had a CT scan before so I was very nervous and didn't really know what to expect. However the technician Greg was awesome, he walked me through every step of the procedure and what was going to happen next. He was very gentle when he started my IV and told me he would be doing some images with contrast and without. The entire procedure didn't take very long at all and I was out of there in no time. The front office staff was great too, they were very friendly and got me checked in quickly. They told me it would be a few minutes and then they took me back to get changed. When I was done, she explained that my doctor would have my results within the next few days and would follow up. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back in the future.

I was sent from my Orthopedist in Grass Valley to have an open MRI as I have extreme…read moreclaustrophobia. I was fortunate to have Don, an MRI Tech assist me. He was so kind and understanding, He held my hand and talked to me during the entire imaging. I honestly don't think I could have gotten through this without his unwavering assistance. I've never had such a positive experience in a medical facility, and it was all due to Don going far beyond his duties to make me feel safe and comfortable.
