The cutest souvenir gift store in all of Savannah in my opinion. Delicate gifts the southern charm…read more From cotton wreaths, plates and tea sets. This gift shop has it all. Location- in city center of city market. 217 west St. Julian street Savannah GA 31401 You step inside and you will sea tiny tea sets, cotton wreaths, honey glazed pecan candies, Savannah magnets, salt water taffy, a section of the cutest pineapple decor. Just so many charming southern cute gifts. My favorite section was the gone with the wind section with Vivian Leigh as Scarlett, Hattie McDaniel as mammy and Clark Gable as Rhett. They have a section of photo framed prints you can buy from the movie. It was very nice. It's better to see it in person that by a review but it's truly worth going to see. Cashier- sweet with that southern hospitality. She kept asking if we needed any help. Truly a great little shop!

I was shopping at the gift store today and saw a decanter that I wanted to get for my husband. It…read morehad no price on the one I wanted, but a similar one was marked $9.99. I asked how much for the other decanter. The person at the desk left to find the price and was gone for like 20 minutes. We waited and waited and he never came back, however, a manager was looking at the prices for all the decanters. I asked how much it was and she said she wasn't sure, so I told her I'd just take the one that was already marked. I picked it up and she said, give me that. So I did and she looked and she grabbed the sticker off the bottom and said that's not the price, and she wouldn't give the item back to me. I said.. well it's marked $9.99. She said.. you can buy it for $44.95 and I'll give you 25% off. What kind of scam is this? If I've ever been in a store and something is mismarked, they honor that price. All of the decanters were marked $9.99, except the one with the different shape that I really wanted. Buyer Beware. Not sure what kind of scam they're running here, but I won't ever go in here again. I'd give 0 stars for customer service, but I really liked the decanter, so I'll give it a 1.

This beautiful one-way cobblestone street, dating back to the Civil War era, runs right along the river and feels like a step back in time. It immediately reminded me a bit of the Embarcadero in San Francisco, with the riverboats, waterfront views, and lively energy--but with a distinctly Southern charm all its own. Because of the historic cobblestones, you can't drive fast here, which is actually part of the magic. It naturally slows you down and encourages you to take your time, look around, and soak in the scenery. There's so much to see--bars, restaurants, shops, hotels, and those iconic riverboats passing by--that every few steps feels like another photo opportunity. The atmosphere is vibrant but relaxed, and it's the kind of place where you can easily spend hours wandering, people-watching, and exploring. Unfortunately, I didn't have nearly enough time to do it justice on this visit, but what I experienced definitely whet my appetite and sparked my curiosity to come back. Bottom line: River Street is a must-see when visiting Savannah. It's historic, scenic, and full of personality--and it's best enjoyed slowly, one cobblestone step at a time.
