Susie did everything she was contractually obligated to do. Despite an unforeseen problem that was no fault of her doing she stepped up to the plate and made good. I have respect for her for making good on her promises. As far as the auction went everyone thinks they should have made more and done better. I am no exception. There is a lot of trust that goes into her business model in terms of what is actually sold at what price. Also I had no problem with her bringing in some of her own stuff but I wonder how good the accounting was on it as I don't even remember all that was mine vs hers. Also thought there could have been more road signs advertising the sale to pull in the drive-by folks. Its a tough business. I made very little money on the sale but was able to clear my house of all the stuff. Would I use her again? Don't know. I'm thinking the entire estate sale business is just really bad and every company works like this. read more

Attended a sale by this company today. Picked up a set of king size sheets that were taped together and asked how much for the sheets. They told me they were $35 because they were new. However, it was 50% off today. So I purchased the sheets only to find when I got home that it wasn't even all the same sheet set!!! I have been going to estate sales for years with my father and never have I ran into an estate sale company scamming people with the sheet sets! I mean even at $17.50 I thought that was a good deal since they were egyptian cotton sheets; well at least one of them is. Even the pillow cases weren't even a set! I was literally robbed by these people. I will agree with all the other reviews that they are extremely over priced and extremely rude. Next time they are having a sale on my side of town, don't think I won't go in and confront these flea bag women! I would avoid going to Susies Estate sales like I would avoid the plague! I would give them zero stars if I could. If you do go to their sales, be sure to pull apart the taped up sheet sets to make sure they are a true and complete set. Very rude.Prices are literally the most ridiculous prices I have ever seen, and I frequent estate sales. A lane coffee table and end table set was priced at $495 and in terrible condition with water stains on top, would need to be completely refinished. I told the person running the sale (who I assume is Susie) "wow, this is one of the highest priced sales I have seen". She got very upset by this comment and said "well if I didn't want to make money, why would I be in business? I'm not going to have garage sale prices". Well I'm sorry Susie, but you also won't make money with these prices because nobody will buy. These were the rudest people I have ever had to deal with at an estate sale. My daughter picked a stuffed animal that was priced at either three or five depending on if it was big or large when we got to the table the lady tried double charging us. she then started to complain that she had to sleep at the house because it was so far. She was so rude to me and my daughter that other people put their stuff down and walk out with me. read more

If I could leave negative stars on this review I would. This is a scam! My mom had a 2 bedroom house full to the rim. She had a shop area filled with tools, decorations, etc. Her whole life of heirlooms, collections, furniture, cupboards filled with antique dishes. When all is said and done she received a check around $1,200.00 for everything. Our family is just sick about this. On the 3rd day a truck comes and picks everything that did not sell and takes it I am sure to a place where it is sold for Susie's profit. Do not in trust anything to this woman. Do NOT use this company! Susie's Estate Sales & Appraisals Services is a disgrace to a much-needed industry and service. As stated in the CBS 5 Advocate article this year (http://www.cbs5az.com/story/28935682/be-thorough-when-hiring-an-estate-sale-company) the company over prices items, which then don't sell, then a 3rd party company (most likely affiliated) comes in and buys items for pennies on the dollar. Or you're told that it went to Goodwill who doesn't provide itemized receipts for donations, plus their receipts are not accepted by the IRS. In the article the owner is quoted as saying that the client approved her sales prices which I doubt because I was never asked and still cannot get this information. In addition, my family is still awaiting payment from a sale conducted 2 months ago. This company should not be in business! Unsure if this is 'Susie', but I would never go to another estate sale by that company again because of the poor customer service. I must disagree with these 2 reports n Susie's Estate Sales. I go estate shopping almost every weekend and have always found her sales to be monetarily fair. She has even taken off a percentage hen we bought many things. My husband and I,have never been mistreated by any of her staff. Sounds like " sour grapes" from one person. read more

i frequent estate sales and have only visited Susies one time and will not go again. I heard Susie talking to a potential customer and she was very rude. I was looking at the items near where she was sitting so I overheard her conversation. The woman had been there the day before and had purchased a box of dishes. She apparently found another box on the patio which was covered and filthy. The woman wanted to purchase this box and asked about the price due to the condition they were in. Susie spoke quite loud indicating that was the price...did the woman want something for nothing? She rambled on about people always trying to get another price when it's clearly stated. I was embarrassed for the customer and was going to ask a question because the prices were too high and it was the second day of the sale but I decided to go elsewhere. I love the Lythcoop sales. People are very nice and realize it's a sale where they try to make as much money for he seller without being ridiculously over priced. They treat you with respect and I never fear asking a question. Beware, of this company! My Aunt used this company and they ripped her off! Susie gave false promises and presented my Aunt with a flimsy contract so that she now has no recourse! My Aunt had lots of beautiful antiques, sliver and precious items (a house full of lovely well cared for items) and they were sold at well below the asking price! Susie was told not to sell anything at 75% off, yet she took "Make an Offer" requests. There were a few items that did not make the sale when the doors opened, they were not there, probably because they were sold (or given) to a relative so that they could be resold on Craigs List. Susie took advantage of my Aunt, who is a widow, and needed to move into a smaller home. My Aunt was counting on this money for her retirement and all Susie did was add stress to her life. I was surprised and then not to see a 1 star review, after a 1 star review, after another. I agree with the numerous other 1 star reviewers. I was lied to about an item I bought. She claimed that it was something that it was not. At home, I found a mark on it that clearly an authentic item would not have had. It was a cheap imitation, that had no desirability at all. I took a chance because I was not familiar with the authentic items. That was before I learned how dishonest they were. I do not waste my time going to their estate sales anymore. My first question is who monitors these people? To say this woman is a low-life discredits and is an insult to "low-lifes", at least with them you know where they are coming from. She is going to take you to the cleaners and you have no way out. My wife trusted this "Susie Snake" to hold an estate sale for her entire house. This house was beautifully appointed with custom furniture, cooking utensils, appliances, vintage linen, sets of dishes, china, pots and pans, collections of cookbooks, sets of bedding, barbecue grill, outdoor furniture and antiques. Nothing had been spared to make this home an oasis in the desert. This lady priced everyone out of the market and had the remains hauled off by her co-conspirator most likely to be sold at a later date. To add insult to injury, she closed early, did not advertise as she said she would and was so rude that even our friends that wanted to purchase items left. We wish we would have read these reviews prior to hiring this unscrupulous, conniving, unprofessional person. The lady working was very nice (not Susie) but what everyone else said about prices is correct. $20 for a Stanley screwdriver, $75 for a beat up desk that I'd put free or $5 on and $4 for a cheap/small picture frame. So many things were priced above new prices we just were amazed. read more

First of all I would like to state I have been going to the slaes for years and at first I thought the prices were a little high bit recently they have been very competitive. Second, I would like to challenge the post written on 6/18/2014. I believe I was at that sale for several hours shopping and talking with the cashier and other employees of Susie's. The stuff there was ok but nowhere near as nice as he (she as the user name suggests) said. Next this was the first time I ever saw a homeowner present during the sale. Every time myself or another customer started to look at something she would hover and stare over our shoulder. I am pretty sure she was trying to sabotage the sale that is the only explanation for what happened next. She became irate and started arguing with the poor cashier and threatening to call the cops. I felt so bad for everyone and I started to fear for the safety of the cashier and other employees so of course I stayed. Then she started yelling at them to get out and ripping signs off of the wall. But the cashier said she had a contract to be there and she didn't have to leave. I was surprised at how calmly they workers handled themselves. I had to leave around the time I saw the workers starting to load their stuff. The homeowner had ti either be completely nuts, drunk, high or a combination of all three. Btw I never saw a husband there so I'm pretty sure its her writing the review. To the other two reviews I guess you are entitled to your opinion bit I think you are exaggerating greatly. I'm also pretty sure this review like the other positive review will not be recommended by yelp. Yelp is a bit of a scam anyway. read more

I will never go to another estate sale by this company. The owner was extremely rude to me during a visit. I wasn't even speaking with her at the time. She told me to stop whining on more than one occasion almost as though she had a purpose to harass me. I was speaking with someone else at the time and it didn't have anything to do with her or what was offered at the house. There was absolutely no reason for her remarks, she was just in a bitchy mood and decided for whatever reason to take it out on me. I had several items I was going to purchase and decided I was not going to spend my money and left them all there, walked out and waited for my friend outside. Their prices are absurd and not worth the time or effort. I had been to other sales previous to that time and one day ended up at another sale after and decided to go in because the person I was with wanted to see what they had. Susie's estate sales is a big rip off. All of their stuff is extremely overpriced so they can tell their client that their stuff didn't sell, which forces the client to "donate" their stuff. Then, Susie's takes the stuff and sells it behind the client's back to make a profit. It's obvious that they are doing this since they don't seem to care about no one buying anything, even if it's the last day of the sale.The one bigger woman who works there is a complete snob about it too. You don't even want to negotiate with them because they are so rude. Oh! and don't say you love garage selling. Or Susie will rip you a new one since they consider themselves to be "elite" and not in the garage sale category. If you want to spend a hundred bucks on a crappy southwestern lamp you could get at goodwill for $5, then Susie's estate sale might be for you. Or you might get lucky to buy a $3500 table and chairs on their 25% off day. I usually don't write reviews, but i feel like it's my duty to warn people when they are obviously ripping off their clients. For that kind of money, your better off going to an actual store. If I could give her zero stars or less I would. I totally agree with the other comments. At the time I had Suzie sell my Mom's estate I didn't have the advantage of being able to check Yelp or other internet sources for reviews. She made continual promises that she has "experts" that will come in and buy groups of your belongings, ie. clothing, furniture, etc. What ended up happening was she contiually kept saying that they were all busy and kept putting me off. I needed to get the house on the market to close the estate so she ended up "getting rid" of everything for me. Really $2,000 for an 1800 sq.ft. house of furniture, some of it being pretty new since my Mom died suddenly. I felt she truly took advantage of me and my family. Our loss is long past but I hope to prevent anyone else from being taken advantage of by this woman. So sad to see a lifetime of memories basically stolen and so little respect for people in mourning. read more

If I could give Susie's Estate Sale a zero starts I would. She handled my mothers estate after my father past away. My parents had quality furniture, a car, a beautiful gun safe from 2 households. She marked thing at ridiculously high prices, because any items that do not sell got to "charity" When we said the dinning table chairs and hutch would not go, along with the art work, they refused to pick up the remaining item for "charity" What charity does not want a refrigerator, freezer, loads of clothes, posts and pans, couch tables, etc...As for payment, we are still waiting, the sale completed 12/7/15, she has 14 business days according to HER contract, it is now close to 20 days beyond this. After several phone calls and lies, we finally received a check for $5,700.00 with the combined list of thing sold (not itemized) and the check is NO GOOD. She is nothing but excuses and how bad her luck is, this time it is a stolen computer (from a previous customer it was a stolen purse.) We are sympathetic to people that are down on their luck, but not to people that lie and take advantage of others. We are still waiting for the check and will take actions against her at this point. Not to mention that she undersold everything, example, a $1000.00 gun safe for $200.00. The check should have been a minimum of $7,000.00 after tax and her fees, and it probably was, she certainly had to change the sale numbers. She is fraud and a liar....do not use Susie, she should be in jail for taking advantage of a widow in this way.. read more
