The name of the shop was a bit mystifying as I couldn't tell if it was for needlepoint, embroidery, knitting, etc. Turns out it's a little bit of all of the above! Mostly it's a needlepoint shop but they have some knitting and crochet items as well including a small selection of beautiful specialty yarns and kits. As a one-time visitor to that nasty little place on Newbury st, I was relieved at how AMAZINGLY FRIENDLY the owner was. She chatted with me for about 20 minutes, showed me around the whole place and introduced me to basic needlepoint items of which I was previously unaware. I was very sad that I didn't get to pour oodles of money into this nice lady's hands, but my grandmother ended up giving me a ton of embroidery supplies that she can't use any more. Hopefully when I run out in a wee bit she'll still be open, and we can do business!

We were able to test out the guns before starting on our own rugs. They provided great feedback on how to improve your process which was super helpful. I thought the process was really really therapeutic once I got into the zone. I would highly highly recommend coming here if you want to get away from your phone and craft! Overall I had a great experience and i definitely would go back. I just have couple small suggestions that could make the experience perfect. I think the instructors could have been more clear about the safety training. We also spent a lot of time setting up so some people in my group only had 1hr vs 2 hrs to actually work on their rug. It is nice that you can come back and finish your rug if you're not done!!

Chef Harold was extremely informative and a great instructor. We really appreciated his time and attention to all of our questions. The only downside was initially. The venue was also very good with service at the counter. Their selection of brews was quite delightful!

When you go in there are a ton of items on the wall to choose from, which have a base price. Some of them can be quite pricey but there are also some solid options that are $20 or less. I got this cute mushroom bird feeder that I plan to use for jewelry (I believe it was around $20?). Once you start paying there is a rate per hour that is charged on top of that item price. I will say that the studio has a very zen and relaxing vibe... until I remembered I was being charged per hour HA. There are stencils and a variety of colors to use for your artwork. I loved the stencil books because they helped so much, especially with the time constraint. When you're done with your piece they estimate about 7 days before it is ready for pickup. The staff were all super kind and helpful and the place itself was kept tidy. Overall, I had a great experience there with my friend and would go again. BONUS: I don't live in the area anymore and my friend dropped the ball on picking up our artwork. I recently went back to visit and since I was right across the street I decided to try my luck and see if my piece was there, and it was! I painted my mushroom bird feeder in December 2024 and it was still there 5 months later in May! AMAZINNGGGGG, really made my day.
