I just went for the biggest one, the flank steak lol. I believe this is also the normal way in which the restaurant operates. Our starter was beef carpaccio, smoked fish and goats cheese with bread. It was very good. My steak was excellent and tender and, I cooked it rare. Tender and delicious, I wanted another one ;-)) the primitivo wine I had was also superb. The matcha lattes are also really good, served warm they are perfect for a cold, rainy day, and in the summer, it's so refreshing to enjoy an iced one. They have different specials on different days, Tuesday (Dienstag) is ramen day, and Thursday (Donnerstag) is gyoza day, and of course, this is my favorite day! The prices are very reasonable, and the decor is very cute. Plus, they play a nice mixture of J-pop, which is just so happy sounding! It's simply impossible to feel down in the dumps while you are here, and I highly recommend trying it out!

Their miso soup was something that I have never had before; aside from the usual tofu and seaweed, this soup also had eggplants, carrots, leafy greens, etc. Everything, including the rice, was flavorful that I was eventually glad that there was only one lunch special. We managed to get the last table, as the rest were reserved. We looked through the menu and ordered a few dishes between us (myself & my husband), and I will admit, they were all very tasty. I am so happy that we tried out Mitani. The food is so good that we are constantly talking about the restaurant, especially with friends & my husband only wants to eat here for his birthday haha. Recently, because of the pandemic, people can only order food to go, and, you have to email the restaurant or message them on Facebook messenger 24 hours beforehand and let them know what food you want to order and what time you will collect the food.
