Today I had teriyaki salmon bento for lunch. Terrific presentation, as always. A big slab of beautifully cooked salmon. The rolls had a sauce on them that's too sweet for me, although they were very good. Next time I'll ask for wasabi instead. All in all a wonderful lunch. read more

Grabbed the deluxe Bento box here for dinner and found it to be decent it was pretty fresh and had good flavour I must have walked in when they just opened because I was the only one there. I like the Decour as it does have a very Japanese theme with samurai swords handcrafted boats for sushi parties and other paraphernalia, though it seems like their space isn't quite big enough for them as they have a lot of their storage overflowing into the main part of the Resturaunt a.k.a. soda boxes and a freeze. As far as Japanese cuisine goes though there for sure the best in town that I've come across. It is worth checking out if you're into Japanese food or in the area and want something other than fast food. It took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready to go. If you had asked me about this restaurant 3 months ago I would have said it's a disaster don't go. Now that they have had a chance to get everything figured out it's absolutely delicious! The deluxe sushi platter was great. The eel is fabulous and the quality of the fish is hard to beat. The salmon melts in your mouth. We will keep coming back when ever we are in town. I literally made an account on here just to make this review. Worst sushi I have ever ate in my life. 1) Took us an hour to receive our food (4 plates of sushi). All ten people in the restaurant had been served before we even entered. It was just my girlfriend and I. 2) Girlfriend receives rotten avocado in an only avocado roll (all pieces). 3) My unagi had bones in it. Unagi doesn't even have bones. Wtf... 4) Salmon full of bones (at least 10 bones per 3 sashimi) 5) Out of all my years eating sushi I have never even encountered bones in sushi. EVER. 6) Fish NOT fresh. 7) The rice couldn't even hold the roll together. I've been using chopsticks since birth. 8) I always finish my plate. I can't even remember not finishing a meal (it would be easily over 10 years). I walked out with half of it left. 9) I don't know if it was out of pure disappointment or from the sushi I ate, but I legitimately felt sick to my stomach after. 10) Scared that I might actually have food poisoning. 11) Price is way too much for what I could receive from eating out of a gutter. Service is nah.... They cannot speak good English it is hard to communicate, but they are nice. The menu isn't extensive more items could be added. The booth are so not comfortable. The food was good for what I got though :) overall good potential read more

My daughter and I had lunch there today - it is by far the best restaurant in Lloyd. I too was sceptical about a sushi restaurant in the middle of the prairies but is was excellent - the sashimi was fresh and cold - tempura was very hot and the bento box was great value and also really delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant and it will be our go to when are here from Calgary. read more

Very small portions for the amount of money, for the 13$ chicken teriyaki dish, you get a tiny scoop of rice and a few pieces of chicken (which tasted good though) tuna sashimi was not fresh tasting at all, and again very small portion size for the cost. The waitress was very nice however, she did her best but it would have been nice if she spoke English more than the basic words. read more

Aweful ate there twice(only sushi in Lloyd) slow service, poor communication, uncomfortable seating( both the chairs and the placement of them), the place is drafty and there is no buffer from the glass outer door so don't take off your jacket. Sushi was good but waiting long times in discomfort is Not acceptable. read more

Was nervous going to a Japanese restaurant in Lloyd but was pleasantly surprised. The food was very well cooked/prepared and tasty. I'm not sure why the other commenter said the portions were small - the portions were larger than most Japanese restaurants and a fantastic value for the price. We all loved it. We really wanted sushi and decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. The sign says sushiwa express, it was not express by any means. Our order was taken by a nice lady who could not speak hardly any English, and she wrote it on a folded up paper place mat which didn't seem very professional... But still we gave the benefit of the doubt. After 20 minutes of watching the lady and the chef staring at the computer trying to type in our order I presume, the male chef came over to our table with a pad and pen and asked us what our order was. By this point we really wanted to walk out because of how much time was wasted and our food hadn't even been started yet! But he was very apologetic so we stayed... Multiple other people were walking out because they were unsatisfied with the wait so this made us feel badly and we decided to stay and wait for our food that we ordered, twice. It took us an hour to get our food and they even still missed an item that we had ordered (Twice)! I do feel the need to say that the food was delicious and the portions were large! But given the service and wait time I would never ever ever go back there. They only had 3 people working, the male chef, the lady serving, and one other man apparently doing dishes maybe. But given how long their customers were waiting maybe they need to hire some more staff... It was a poor experience for myself, my boyfriend and my sister who were looking for a quick bite to eat. read more
