Amazing service....Amazing food...Great atmosphere. Just need some new furniture as our table and chairs were wobbly.

Stopped midway between Big River, SK, and Edmonton, AB, with my teen for dinner. She gave two thumbs up to her usual - cheese pizza with pineapple. I took the server's recommendation for their longtime favourite Chicken Lemonato and it was delicious! The accompanying veggies were perfection. The teen managed to find room for a chocolatey dessert and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was pleasant, washrooms clean, and wayyyyy better than a fast food pit stop. Two thumbs up Spiro's; we will definitely come back for another visit!l and I look forward to trying more of your menu! read more

They put way to music sauce on there pizza and it's has to much toping i would recommend eating somewhere else

I recommend their outdoor patio it is great and has a much better experience than sitting inside. The only bad part is the chairs are uncomfortable and loud on the patio floor. The service doesn't stick out and isn't special but it isn't bad at all. Finally, the food is the best part, their pizza is amazing and their special sauce is as well. The only bad part about the food is I didn't enjoy the Mediterranean spaghetti dish. Overall this is one of the best restaurants in Lloydminster. read more

Spiro's is the best locally owned restaurant in the city. It's a great cozy atmosphere with friendly staff & their food is incredible.

Long time residents of Lloydminster know that when we have a discerning out-of-town guest we want to take out for good food in a pleasant atmosphere that Spiro's is an excellent choice. Clean, comfortable family dining - in a family owned and operated business. Spiro is also known for his community contributions - including his annual donation of thanksgiving dinners. read more

Food terrible for the price was a good place at one point but been here 20 years and haven't eaten here in ten years cause I was disappointed in the steak over done a grissle. But we ate here again recently and was so disappointed. Steak again was over cooked and lots of grissle tendons that were not chewable prime rib should be melting in your mouth. Not impressed bland and gross read more

If this is the best lloyd has to offer I feel sorry for all you residents ... worst chicken souvlaki I've ever had EVER .. the dried pork ribs look like Szechuan beef and tasted like clarified butter and garlic ... disgusting .. the poutine was literally Super store crinkle cut fried with shredded cheese and suns pan gravy mix ... we told the waitress how nasty the ribs were and received shocked attitude that we didn't like their special sauce same sauce on everything .. never again SPIROS was gross and service was lacking from the girl in the drea read more

This was a venue for a first date and while a little over the top for a first date was fantastic! Arrived at dinner time with no reservation and was seated immediately despite how full the place was. Our kind waitress was quick and attentitive. My date's entree (dry ribs) was huge and my saganaki (spelt wrong) was divine! I ordered the seafood pasta. Large chunks of crab, huge shrimp and scallops, mixed with an alfredo sauce,... delicious. The price was a bit high but for a greek restaurant, it was fairly good. We were there for a few hours and the staff never suggested we leave. A very wonderfull experience. :) read more

Like many long-term residents of Lloydminster, I feel it is impossible to write a critical unbiased review of Spiro's. I feel like I've grown up in this restaurant. Through every expansion, move, and renovation, I have fond memories of the great food and family atmosphere in this Lloydminser institution. Although this unbiased mindset may seem to compromise a review, it may also give you another perspective. This is the kind of place you go when you want to make memories and feel like family. While many chain restaurants may have hands-off management and leave the cooking to "turn-and-burners", Spiro's is very much family run, giving you the feeling that someone in the kitchen truly cares about the food. Also, don't be surprised if one of these family members comes out and checks on your dining experience. Whenever we have special guests from across North America, they always ask to eat at Spiro's, often finding ways to artfully pack some of Spiro's "secret sauce" in their luggage. While they may have a wide array of styles of food on the menu, my advice is to embrace the restaurant's Greek roots. You won't regret it. read more

Being visitors,we invited our hosts on there recommendation to have dinner at Spiro's. Were greeted and placed to our reserved table, even the owner came by and shared his story about coming to this country.Chosen Maria's Special Ribs and Souvlaki. Portions were big, food was tasty. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. Recommend this restaurant if you enjoy a good home cooked meal with a variety of dishes and family owned. read more

Like aforementioned in an earlier review, if you grew up or were born in Lloydminster, this was your favourite place to dine. The atmosphere changed little from old venue to new offering comfort and class in both. Not uncommon to see Maria or Spiro himself on a nightly basis. The food is great and the staff friendly. Only thing that kept me from giving in 5 stars is how the food stacked up against other Greek restaurants I've had in other cities. My personal favourite is the ribs and salad, can't go wrong with that. Also the Moussaka is wonderful. read more

I went to this restaurant because it got seemingly good reviews. But what I experienced was far from good..... First I was sat at a table by a rude hostess. She sat me at a table, never smiling, and walked off. Never even mentioning that "Your server will be right with you". Nothing at all. My server came a few moments after that. She seemed tired and was not very friendly. Not rude, but not friendly. The restaurant was only half full at this time. I ordered my food, the Moussaka. A few minutes later the waitress came back and told me that they ran out. Really? Running out of one of your staple Greek dishes at a Greek restaurant. I know that unforeseen things can happen in restaurants, but I think extra care could have been taken to make sure the Greek dishes stayed in stock. The waitress asks "Would you like order something else?" All the while she stands at the ready to write it down. Of course I would. I haven't memorized the menu, so please bring me another one, I think to myself. She seems to pick up on this and brings me another menu. I order the Frajolaki with beef tenderloin. She takes my order and walks away. 30 minutes later I get my meal. It is a Frajolaki with chicken. I am very annoyed by this point. I have to call the hostess over to flag down my waitress. Finally the waitress comes and I tell her that this is chicken on the bread. She looks at me and says "You didn't order chicken?" as if I messed up somehow. No, I didn't you nitwit, that's why I'm telling you? Since I'm very hungry and don't want to wait another 30 minutes for food I tell her that I will eat it anyway and to tell the kitchen that they screwed up. She nods and rushes off. No apology whatsoever. Not even an insincere one to try to appease me. What the hell? I settle in to eat the food. It is cold. This seemingly Greek dish is nothing but dry chicken breast on a pretzel sub with tomatoes. I could order this from Tim Hortons and it would be much better. The roasted potatoes are slimy. The saving grace was the Greek salad. It's hard to mess up something so simple. The waitress then comes back when I'm done and tells me that she will take 10% off. Really? 10%? I was going to pay for my meal in full, but it's just insulting when you do nothing to rectify the situation or apologize and offer 10% off? Believe me that I can pay the additional $2.00. All the while, no manager came by to apologize. No one cared and nobody came. Not surprised. The rude waitress at this point comes by and gives me the bill. I get to pay at the front. The hostess comes to let me pay my bill no doubt ably because the waitress doesn't want to deal with me anymore. She asks how my meal was. I say "terrible!" I give her a point form reason why. Ironically this is the same hostess who rudely sat me. She's more friendly rude than the rude waitress is friendly. I turn to my right and can tell that the couple standing to the side heard me and smiled. They knew I was pissed off and I'm glad. I pay my bill, no gratuity, and leave. All in all, this was a terrible restaurant experience. I'm sure that this place is what serves as good service and good food in a small town. However, I expect more from my dining experience, such as food that is the right dish and that it is warm. That's not too much to expect, is it? I will never come back again. Instead I will eat alphagetti out of a can. read more

I used to order take out from Spiro's, as although they are expensive, (about 20% over any other restaurant in town,) they would have a different variety, as pizza went. I had a couple good experiences ordering there, but it turned out that it was not the norm. They rarely got the orders correct, it was always a long wait to get my order, and it was often undercooked and doughy. Finally the last time I ordered there, after waiting over an hour for my order, I arrived on time, to wait 10 min in line. It must have been the owner's daughter at the counter, because when I finally did get to pay, while I wasn't rude or anything, she apparently thought it was beneath her to get my order from the back. So, I payed, she disappeared for about 15-20 min, I had to ask someone else to get my pizza, and when it came back, it was cold, sloppy, and gross. Sometimes it's worth it to pay a premium price for quality food and service, but when I paid over $50 for a couple pizzas which were not as good as a frozen pizza at the deli, something's wrong. That was well over a year ago, and NEVER again will I give Spiro's the opportunity to disrespect me. read more
