They were sold out of absolutely everything (that you'd want to order anyway) when we came. None of the good cuts of fatty tuna, no toro, no churro, no sea urchin, etc. All of our first choices from the menu were unavailable, which they only let us know while we were ordering. They didn't even have wasabi (which they charge you for anyway), how on Earth does a Sushi restaurant run out of wasabi???How can they properly make any sushi without a key ingredient?
From what they did have: the salmon belly, tamago, and scallop were just OK. The Kobe dumplings were not good at all, tasted like cheap meat. No way they're actually made with Kobe beef.
Cocktails were decent though, and a bit boozy. Prices were OK for the neighborhood. Might've been 2/5 but I'm guessing I caught them on a bad day, and I'm inclined towards generosity.
