September 27, 2026…read more My daughter hired Five Couse Provisions for her wedding on September 6, 2026. We worked exclusively with Chef John Alvarez and Diana Dorsey. From the first time talking to Chef John my daughter and her fiancé along myself felt an immediate connection with them both of them. In order to get to know my daughter and her fiancé Chef John asked questions regarding their backgrounds. My daughters fiancé is Oaxacan and our daughter is part South Indian. Chef John crafted the most elegant menu to bring both cultures together for our guests. We had a tasting with both families at their kitchen the food and presentation was beyond what we expected. There was one Indian dish we felt needed a little different spice as I have my mother in-laws recipe, Chef John listened to my suggestions and updated the dish. He took the time to deliver the dish to our home along with Diana coming along. It was perfect when we tasted it. We had a family style dinner and not one guest left their table hungry. The portions of every dish was generous. We thank Chef John Alvarez for making our daughters wedding everything we hoped it would be. We can't wait to work with him again for our younger daughters wedding. I highly recommend 5 Course Provisions for your next event. Johanna Nichols-Johnson Mother of the Bride

From day one, she was communicative and very flexible with all the requests I had, which made the entire planning process so much less stressful. One thing we truly appreciated was that they even delivered food to our home during our tastings--it made everything so convenient. The food was already amazing during the tastings, but it was even more incredible on our wedding day. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious everything was! Carla and her team provided exceptional service from start to finish. They were also the only catering team we found who packed up all the leftovers for us, which meant so much since our family stayed at the venue--we got to continue enjoying the food even after the wedding. They also created our wedding cake, which was absolutely beautiful and delicious. We also ordered the raspberry no-bake cheesecake (which I sadly didn't get to try!), but based on how quickly everything disappeared, it was clearly a hit. We only had a few slices of cake left, which says a lot about how much our guests loved everything. We are beyond grateful for Carla and her team for making our wedding day so special. We will definitely be booking them again for future events--highly recommend!

If you are looking for a wedding caterer, Far Out Catering is the one…read more We chose Far Out catering originally because 1. We couldn't stop salivating over the delicious mushroom ravioli after our tasting; and 2. We immediately felt comfortable with Carla - we loved her personality and story. I worked in food service for about a decade so the food and beverage service for our wedding was very important to me. We are SO glad that we went with Far Out. Carla and her team were absolutely amazing at every step of the process. I'll give a few examples: 1. Taste: So many of our guests told us that this was by far the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. People were literally searching us out to tell us this because they were so impressed. There's always the fear that the food won't taste as good as it did at the tasting, but despite the fact that we were in a county park and there was no onsite kitchen, the food tasted just as we remembered it. 2. Service: The team was so on top of everything and just generally so sweet that it created a great ambiance for the wedding. We missed the appetizers due to taking photos and were a bit disappointed. Carla found out and the team quickly made us a personal platter of each of the appetizers. Carla was communicative, but not overbearing and made us feel that everything was in good hands. For example, during the wedding we made some slight changes in timing because people were loving the appetizers and cocktail hour, so we pushed back dinner about 30 minutes. Carla and her team worked it out seamlessly and no one knew that there was a change except for us. 3. Above and beyond: We bought all of our own alcohol and mixers and the team came by our house a couple of days before to pick everything up so that we didn't have to drop it off. Amidst all of the last minute to-dos, this was a huge help. Later that night, as Carla was looking through the items, she realized that I had forgotten to pick up lychee for our signature cocktail. She communicated with me and I said that I would work on quickly trying to find it the following day. What I didn't say is that I was nervous that I wouldn't find it due to the holiday--and not sure how we could pivot because they'd already finalized the printed menus. Before I even had time to look, Carla texted me early the following morning and said she had found the item and already picked it up, so I didn't need to worry about it. We definitely made the right decision going with Far Out. I honestly wish they had a restaurant so I could eat that ravioli again!

As a…read moreglobal law firm, we hold our partners and vendors to a very high standard, and Café Primavera delivered exceptional service throughout the planning and execution of our event. Midway through the planning process, we were required to pivot to a new venue with only a few weeks to go. Despite the compressed timeline and added complexity, Michelle, CP's event coordinator, went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly. As I am not based in the Bay Area, her willingness to conduct multiple site visits on our behalf, coordinate logistics, and proactively problem-solve was invaluable. Michelle was responsive, detail-oriented, and truly operated as an extension of our internal events team. The catering service itself was seamless on the day of the event, and guests were extremely complimentary of both the food and the professionalism of the staff. We would not hesitate to work with Café Primavera again and highly recommend them to any organization seeking reliable execution, flexibility, and true white-glove service.
