I explained to the waiter that I wasn't at a restaurant to do math and add up all the pieces and orders and go person by person. So, where did they put the food? Right in front of me as one if the people sitting at the end. They would place plate after plate in front of me. Often with no explanation of what food it was. Apparently, it is the person at the end of the table's job to announce the food and identify the person(s) who it belongs to.
