I love Sushi Teri, especially the Godzilla Roll. I frequent here with my friends from the office and the staff is always amazing ensuring we have a table that fits everyone and great service to make it back on our lunch break. If you don't see street parking in front they have a parking lot in the back. They are closed on Monday's and close mid day between lunch and dinner so check your times before you go. Great place in town for sushi :) If you are from out of town take a minute to walk across the street to the Chamber to check out the latest of what is going on around Lompoc. read more

I gotta say, Sushi Teri definitely impressed me this evening. Co-worker and I arrived near 6ish and sat at the Sushi bar and he ordered 2 Specialty rolls while I ordered a Sashimi Salad. I can tell you that he raved about his rolls and I loved my salad: Sashimi Salad - fresh, crisp, colorful spring mix (and some micro greens) topped with a sweet, tangy, mustard vinaigrette and plenty of fresh, green avocado as well as large servings of mixed sashimi. Tasty, filling (very filling!), and high quality, fresh ingredients abound. Made me see my favorite spot in Chandler for sashimi salad in a whole new light. No-Name and Kamikaze Roll - according to co-worker both were highly enjoyable and the eel on top of the No-name really added some tasty complexity to each bite. Our server gal (the young gal with the curly hair) was very good - friendly, prompt. The ambiance was that of locals.. obviously the locals really support this place (good!)... the decor has been updated since 1.5 yrs ago when I did eat here and didn't enjoy their veggie tempura. It also seems cleaner with better up-keeping. I came back to give it another shot - I am impressed and will definitely be coming back. read more

Best japanese restaurant in Lompoc, maybe including Santa Maria as well. First, the portions are very large. Second, the prices are reasonable. Third, the food is tasty. I like to eat lunch, I like the lunch and dinner special plates. I don't eat sushi rolls, I prefer sashimi, which is excellent here. I like the hamachi kama, it comes with two large portions of fish, plus rice, plus salad, plus miso. Chicken karage, a very large portion of chicken with sides. The rolls (if you eat them, which I don't) are very large. Sushi Salad: the sushi is fresh, it always tastes good, maybe ten pieces of fish with the salad, and the dressing is tasty. The place is pretty busy, they always have a crowd. That's a good thing. On the downside, sometimes the miso is just tepid, not warm enough. Watch the bill they do make mistakes, usually to the client's benefit though. read more

I've been going to this place for a while now. I love the food and the prices are okay but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Don't come here if you are in a rush. I have a few favorites when I come here. I really like the Japanese Chicken Curry and Vegetables. Aesthetically it is not very pleasing to the eye, but the taste is wonderful. It comes served with rice and is very filling. The Big Daddy Roll is also very tasty. I usually have them cut it into 6 pcs (it comes as 5) so it is easier for me and the hubby to share. read more

It's on the far end of the town but tiny and cozy. The staff are very nice there. They offer the best sushi with lowest cost in town. My favorite is Jalama Roll which is the baked scallop roll. It's soooooo good! read more

My girlfriends and I stopped here on a roadtrip and we are so happy we did! It was such a cute little stop and it was super quick too. Still, glad to try it to know for next time. Was definitely glad I tried the deluxe California roll for the first time. The shrimp was pretty chewy and I wasn't too fond of the chicken gyoza with the spicy sauce but the only options were chicken or vegetable gyoza. Still, the service was great and quick. read more

This place really isn't that pricey for sushi.. I would say the prices are appropriate. The reason for the low rating however is that all of the rolls taste the same. all of the rolls get this super sweet eel sauce all over it. I hate sushi that is sweet. Last time we went we asked for no sauce, and the rolls were almost flavorless. I would rather make the drive to Buellton and have out of this world sushi at Aru. Edit and update: My wife and her mother went here for lunch and were both served rancid fish, they took one little bite, and rejected the plate. Both of them were sick with food poisoning for 2 days. Many people I have spoken to lately say the quality has dramatically gone down hill with the new owner. read more

First off, I'm a sushi snob...this is amazing for the US..I can't give it 5 stars because nothing beats fresh sashimi at Tsukiji market in Japan. Their menu is lacking otherwise, but I think it's the result of catering to the American market. The sushi is legit. Take MY word for it, as I am from 'The Real World'. The sad part of this story, is that this same location used to be a BBQ place a few years back. And the BBQ was killer: brisket, pulled pork, ribs, collards and cornbread and beans - you name it. Don't know how a place like this couldn't survive; guess the devout meat eaters here in town prefer tri-tip to anything else. Oh well - this is certainly their loss, as their food was KILLER. But getting back to Sushi Teri: To put it bluntly: this is a small, small town. There are few sushi places here, but this is the only one I will go to, since the first time I went, it became clear that the quality is high, the service is swift, and the wait staff, friendly. Not to offend (but likely I will), but by my 'real world' comment above, I meant that - I live in the San Francisco area. So that means: civilization. And with the plethora of sushi restaurant choices up there, you can be damn sure that I have taken years to find the ones I think are the best. That is why I am telling you - Sushi Teri is legit. For the locals, or the out of towners, this is where you wanna go if you live in town, if passing through, or if you find yourself holed up with your in-laws. Not many good places to eat in town (nor many choices besides fast food), so for those of you who demand something more, and can appreciate the raw fish, do yourself a favor - go eat here. We ordered food to go last night. Phoned it in at 6pm, requested it be ready at 7pm for pick up. When we got it home, it was COLD and STIFF as if they had made it immediately after we called and let it sit there for 45 minutes. It gets better....my husband had a spicy tuna hand roll that he ate first (it's his favorite), and started puking an hour later. He spent all night being sick on the bathroom floor. DISGUSTING!!! I had Salmon roll and Salmon Sashimi plus Albacore Sashimi. Honestly I have to say this is the Best Sushi I ever had. Salmon was really fresh and it was a generous portion. Love Sushi Teri. Food: 1) eel roll: I LOVE EEL so this roll was AMAZING!!! The eel tasted really fresh and they didn't skimp on the amount of eat they gave you either! LOVED it! 2) spicy tuna roll: The tuna didn't taste super fresh to me and it wasn't really even that spicy. I didn't even taste any spicy flavor at all. But they did give you a good portion of tuna. 3) spicy yellowtail roll: Large chunk of yellowtail and it tasted fresh too but it wasn't spicy again! Ambiance: Cute little Japanese place. There was a sushi bar you could sit at or some booths with some stand alone tables. Pretty nice decor. Service: Nice and friendly! Price: Pretty cheap for specialty rolls. The bill came out to be around $30 (tax and tip included) which is pretty good considering I had THREE rolls and at other Sushi places, this would have been easily $50! Deeelicious! Portions were large, I have never seen such plentiful sushi rolls. The Lompoc roll and the Mission roll were amazing. The menu had a few options of things that are deep fried, jalapeno-cheesy, and other unique combinations. Even something as simple as the Yellowtail tasted fresh - the seaweed was crunchy, just as I like it. Also, the beer selection was quite good. Great quality, great value. I am a new and temporary resident to the Lompoc area and always try to find one decent sushi restaurant wherever I go. I forget the name of of what I ordered but it is basically a big bowl with rice on the bottom topped two to three pieces of each type of fish. It costed $17.95 and was well worth the price. Never before have I had sushi as fresh as I had it here. I am impressed. As for the service, I sat at the sushi bar and was assisted very quickly. I didnt catch the name of the male waiter, but he was very fast, efficient and helpful with my menu choices. He was very aware of my beverage level and ensured I never went without drink, yet he didnt hover as some wait staff might. The sushi chef was very friendly and quick to prepare my order and also ensure that I was well taken care of. I read in a past review of this restaurant that someone had requested Halibut be put on the menu. Well, turns out they took his/her advice and added it. I hadn't had halibut in sushi form before and was quite impressed. Needless to say, I will be making more trips to Sushi Teri in the very near future. read more

My favorite sushi spot in Lompoc. Sashimi is always fresh and delicious. We eat there quite often and the staff is always friendly and provide great service every time. My husband and I usually stick with the sashimi, uni, Philadelphia roll and mission roll. So freaking good! The Philadelphia rolls have huge chunks of delicious fresh salmon. The mission roll is light, fresh and the ponzu highlights everything perfectly. Their salmon and yellowtail sashimi is to die for. The uni is AMAZING. Good size pieces for the price too! We are not fans of cooked or fried sushi so I can't say how those are. But, if you are into sashimi, definitely check this place out! read more

Hands down, the best sushi spot in Lompoc! It gets really busy here sometimes, so it's best to come early or get a reservation. Servers are always friendly and attentive. Hours kinda blow. Sad I can't enjoy sushi for lunch on Sundays. :/ I love, love, love their salmon sashimi. I always have to have it when I'm there. So fresh and the cuts are nice and thick! The Godzilla roll is also great and one of my favorites. Baked and with the perfect amount of sauce. I've probably tried every single roll on their menu and have to say, they are all delicious. Some are similar to others, but they all have their own unique touches. Green tea ice cream is a must-have when I'm here. Sometimes I'll get just the ice cream or I'll opt for the mochi. And if you're ever in the mood for a bigger dessert, get the tempura ice cream. Great place to enjoy sushi with good company. read more

Sushi Teri is a good local sushi place in the area. I had the salmon nigiri and it was pretty good. A friend had the salmon sashimi and I was surprised how big the cuts of meat were. I compare this to LA sushi(which is a little unfair), and would have to say it's not LA good. But for a local sushi place it's definitely good. I knocked out a star due to the service. First and last time we will ever go here. We were staying 2 nights in Lompoc for mothers day. Restaurant was not full and pretty empty. Service was bad. My wife ordered 2 sushi rolls. It took 40 minutes of waiting and we had asked the waitress twice to check on it. Finally after the 3rd time she came back and said the cook lost the order and had to put it in again. By this time we were already done with our food. When it finally came it was horrible. After one bite my wife had enough. The waitress never came back to ask how everything was. We had to ask the buss boy for the check. No one other than the buss boy was friendly. As we left no one thanked us or apologized. After spending over $100 I totally regretted it. I'm vegan and asked for tofu in a meal to replace the meat. I was given white rice with 1 carrot and 1 slice of avocado and the tofu looked like it was literally just taken out of the package and sliced up and thrown on top. My friend took me to Sushi Teri last night to celebrate my birthday. From some of the reviews I've read I wasn't sure what to expect, but I love Sushi so I kept an open mind. I was far from disappointed overall. Though it was a Saturday evening and the place was very busy, we were seated right away. Our server was gracious and very attentive. My friend had shrimp tempura which looked delicious - four huge shrimp, lots of different vegetables, rice, soup and salad. I had a variety of nigiri and sushi rolls. Everything tasted fresh. If I have any complaint it's that they didn't have the option of fresh crab for the California roll, though they did have real crab for another roll. Only because of that I'm giving it four stars. I will certainly recommend Sushi Teri to anyone looking for a good Japanese meal in Lompoc! read more

Pretty tasty. The scallops roll was my favorite of the three that I got. The "ocean salad" aka seaweed salad's portion size was way too small for 6.25 sooooo ipso facto, 3 stars. I thought out server was very friendly, a couple mistakes on the receipt but that was fixed immediately. The raw fish didn't taste too "fishy" and they handled the lunch rush just fine. I probably won't be coming back because I specifically crave sushi from here but I'd def eat here again. #protip 3 sushi rolls is a lot. seriously. Too much. 2 will probably fill you up read more

I'm not so much a sushi person, Maybe the basic ones so I usually get more of a chicken teriyaki. They do have a chicken roll here which is interesting and tasted OK. The workers here are kind of Snobbish and not too friendly. The décor is nice and seemed to be clean but I have heard from others that they have seen Cockroachs before. we haven't been here in years sincd it's not one of our favorite sushi places and I don't think we will return as long as the other locations are open in town.
