We discovered this restaurant after the boat Captain recommended it as a local go to place. It certainly did not disappoint. after being in the keys for four nights this is my favorite eats. I think because it goes back to my Asian roots, and I became discouraged with trying to find the best fresh fish sandwich when it was hit or miss half the time . Ordered through DoorDash so can't say much about ambience or service. The gyoza and shu mai appetizers steamed 3/5 had a unique flavor that wasn't to my preference, but it seemed fresh nonetheless. Japanese bagel roll and triple roll 5/5 was prepared nicely . The portion of fish to rice was also good so one didn't overpower the other. These two rolls were my favorite, it melts in your mouth. volcano roll 4/5 had a generous amount of fish on top , not as soft in texture, but still a good sushi roll. We ordered the Sweet Ocean roll and teriyaki chicken. Both of us really liked the Sweet Ocean roll. The chicken was pounded flat and overcooked so it was super difficult to cut and chew. The service is where I was disappointed. It's a huge pet peeve of mine when there is trash on the table...like the wadded up paper from a straw or used napkin set on the edge to be picked up...and a server doesn't take it. Twice, he ignored the trash until I had to pick it up and hand it to him and ask him to take it. Also, when I asked for low-sodium soy sauce, he lied and told me the red cap bottles were all low-sodium. Overall I would give 2.5 stars. read more

Sucks. Sushi is low grade and even the rice was under cooked. Nothing worse than crunchy rice in your sushi. Didn't help that the fish smelled and the cook 8n the kitchen had her daughter running around the place. We just paid and got the f out. Beyond terrible. Came here for a late night dinner (around 9pm) on a Saturday. It was very dead inside and only one other customer was in the whole building. The service was a bit slow and standoffish, but thankfully we weren't in a hurry. The drink selection is pretty minimal, and it took a while to get the bar drinks brought to the table. All of this aside... the food was phenomenal. The sushi, fried rice, and appetizers my group got were all delicious. I always start with edamame at a sushi restaurant it's a staple and always great dipped on a little spicy Mayo. The crispy rice tuna is to die for the marinade on the tuna is top tier. Surf and turf roll is another faaaaaaannnnnntastic roll I highly recommend. I also love the shrimp tempura roll. This time around we got a special lobster roll that left us with our jaws dropped. Great sushi, the Maine Lobster Volcano Roll had heaping piles of delicious lobster. The dragon roll was also very good, plenty of fish and good sized rolls.
