If the Michelin Guide ever visited Roosevelt Boulevard, China Garden would surely earn a spot of distinction. Located near Publix on the waterside (not to be confused with the Fleming Street location), it's easily the best Chinese restaurant I've experienced. Who knew Key West had such a hidden gem? From the moment you walk in, the fresh, inviting aroma sets the tone, paired with a spotless, welcoming dining area. The service is top notch, provided by professional, knowledgeable staff, and the whiteboard in the dining room features daily specials. The "Happy Family" was outstanding, expertly prepared, full of flavor, and made with incredibly fresh ingredients. You can tell they use high-quality oil, and the generous portions and consistent quality impressed me throughout. We sampled a variety of appetizers, all delicious. The homemade wontons were a standout both fried and steamed were great, though the steamed were my favorite. The beverage selection is excellent. With its immaculate setting, fresh ingredients, attentive service, and consistent excellence, this place blends comfort and sophistication beautifully. Capping it off, a leisurely stroll to the nearby shops and grocery store next door made for a perfect ending. read more

Ordered delivery. The spring rolls were sour tasting and probably off. One bite and I had to spit it out and throw them away. The spare ribs were ok and really the only thing we ate. Not going to list the rest of the order. Will never order from here again. read more

Have been ordering delivery for ever here. Great food always, delivery service on time and correct. Thank you!

My fiance and I would frequent this restaurant when we lived here. The workers were always very friendly and the food was always yummy. We would order the dry fried green beans and shrimp lo mein. Can't speak on the ambiance due to taking our food Togo read more

Decent if you are hungry and need food in a pinch. I ordered the wonton soup, chicken in garlic sauce, and pork fried rice. The chicken was delicious as it had water chestnuts and mushrooms along with a delicious semi sweet sauce. The wonton soup was average. The pork fried rice was the most disappointing. It was super salty and didn't have the normal chinese take out fried rice taste. I would order the chicken with garlic sauce again. Fortune cookies were fresh as well. Did it fill me up? Yes. Will I go out of my way? No. read more

I gave them five stars because of the following: Great food Food was hot and delicious Service was absolutely perfect! Very clean Very comfortable, nice music playing. I ended up sitting here for an extra 30 minutes because of a bad storm that was moving thru. We could not get out into the parking area. They brought tea they were just exceptionally pleasant and very gracious. I highly recommend this place. read more

Man, this place sure took a turn for the worse.... Todays meal might have been one of the worst meals in my life. We ordered General Tso Chicken , Beef and Broccoli and fried string beans. Let's start with the chicken. It resembled super mushy chicken nuggets with burnt Tso sauce sided with burnt fried lice and a burnt egg roll. The beef? or whatever the hell it was? is making me ill just thinking about it. The beef???? was covered in this like clogged kitchen pipe goo, it chewed like taffy and taste like burnt fish. It also came with burnt fried lice and a burnt egg roll. The green beans tasted like burnt, salty green sticks, covered in salty ,burnt pencil lead powder floating in a pool of brownish green burnt swamp scum. YUUUK !!! PLS DON'T EAT FOOD FROM THIS PLACE. MY WIFE AND I ARE THANKFUL WE HAVE (2) TOILETS TO SPEND THE REMAINDER OF OUR EVENING ON. read more

The customer service was excellent. Very attentive staff that frequently cleared plates and refilled drinks. The food was excellent and the ambiance was pleasant. I highly recommend this place. read more

This is my first time visiting Key West, and I absolutely love Chinese food. I decided to visit China Garden West, based on reviews and let me tell you the food was delicious. The restaurant was authentic. The service was amazing and the ambience was relaxing and enjoyable. I ordered my favorite sesame chicken and my wife ordered the deep fried fish. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try if you're visiting Key West. read more

I think the 3300 North Roosevelt China Garden is not China Garden West. China Garden on Roosevelt is in the shopping center close to Publix. I ate there about 8 on NYE. The food was typical of Chinese restaurants. I had the sesame chicken combo platter. I ate there because I knew I'd get a full meal for under $20 and I did. Nothing spectacular but tasty nonetheless. My biggest compliment is regarding cleanliness. So far, this is the cleanest restaurant I've been to in Key West. Very nice decor and clean! The staff was very friendly and attentive. I have no complaints. I probably won't be back there for awhile because I have so many other restaurants to try and, as I said, the food was the usual ok Chinese food. Maybe the pricier items are fantastic, I don't know and I'm not one to find out. read more

Great Chinese food. We ate here today and everything was very fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly, kind, and attentive. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was comfortable. I had the chicken and broccoli and it was loaded with flavor. We also tried the egg drop soup and the chicken with garlic sauce. read more

I think my chicken is still moving. This is "almond chicken"....more like bok bok. The amount of depression that has overcome my body is actually egregious and the amount of spiritual transgression that I now must endure is possibly more than my feeble frame can handle. Please understand that I was EXCITED for this almond chicken and it tastes like if I took 150 cans of Campbell chicken noodle soup, drained all of the broth and noodles out, took the chicken pieces and drown them in water chestnuts and carrots and soaked it all in water with a single squirt of honey. I ate two bites and was bullied by my friends. I may never recover. My friend tipped 12 cents on accident and I suppose this is the good Lord letting me know that what goes around comes around. Amen. P.S. 10/10 recommend the almond chicken. read more

Two stars for nice staff. However, after 3 visits I've finally come to the conclusion, the food is exceptionally awful. Last meal was the worst. Something in my dish had a burnt flavor to it. Never again. read more

Disappointment with the whole meal. Portions are small for the price, egg rolls and sweet and sour shrimp were dripping with grease. Entrees and fried rice were small and flavorless. Pricing is too high. Haven't ordered from here in years, thought I'd give it another chance. Nope, shouldn't have. read more

Decent food. Had general tsao chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and kung pao chicken. Service was outstanding, restaurant was clean with calm music and a peaceful atmosphere. Food was delivered quickly and accurately. Extremely pleasant staff. read more

Every dish we ordered was cooked very well, and resembled authentic Chinese cuisine. The short rib noodles had a rich flavor, and the ribs were very tender. The staff was wearing masks and enforced customers to wear it when not eating. Really good food and safe environment! read more

Okay, surprisingly so good for the location. Kind of dark, tucked into a corner but man nothing beats chinese food on vacation. The workers were super sweet and our order was perfect; nothing was wrong and we got everything we ordered for such an affordable rate. Not the most mind blowing, most delicious food I've ever had; have I had better chinese food? Oh of course! But I'll most likely buy it again when we crave late night chinese food in the Keys again. read more

The sesame chicken was amazing. We when home but the people where very nice. And the food was cheap and very good.

Great quick food! Definitely hit the spot! The general tso was perfect. Amazing egg rolls!

Ordered take out - 4 entrees, won ton soup, shrimp rolls, egg rolls, lo mein and they all lacked in flavor and quality. Service taking the order was excellent read it back and was pleasant. However, after spending almost $80.00 on Chinese take-out I would have expected at least something other then the shrimp toast to be edible. Sorry but a total disappoint! read more

Food was to spicy, egg rolls were nasty and after they delivered our food they overcharged me by $10.00. We couldn't even eat the kung pou chicken because of extra spices they added ( which I didn't ask for). Sesame chicken was half breading. I'll NEVER order from this place again. Also to expensive read more

We popped in after a TJ Maxx trip and I am SO glad we did. I was reticent but I'm here to tell you... The food is AWESOME. I got the shrimp broccoli which my server made 'spicy' for me. Fantastic. $12 and I got a huge portion for my main, fried rice, and a spring roll. It comes w a cup of soup, your choice of egg drop or won't, and the wonton was amazing. The broth was flavorful and the wontons definitely tasted homemade. So good. read more

This place is well organized and super yummy. I gave 4 stars because our food took and hour for delivery. However it was pipping hot when we got it. The pork fried rice was delicious. I'm pretty particular about my pork fried rice, this one was yummy. Fresh red pork, egg, crunchy veggies (but just a hint) and the rice was colored brown; it could be brown rice or white with the sauce. It was delicious. I also got general Tso's chicken. It was ok, but super yummy the next day. Chang delivered my food and I didn't realize the tip wasn't added to the online menu so I dropped it off a day later as promised. Sorry no pictures cause we were too hungry! read more

China Garden West is a great value in Key West, the food is very good, happy, good people running it and they get orders done quickly as well. Highly recommend. read more

Good genuine food, straight forward solid service, very clean and spacious restaurant.

Got a combo meal and was surprised at the large serving size. Everything tasted great. Would order again.

This is a clean restaurant near TJ Max shopping mall on Roosevelt, not to be confused with China Garden West Downtown near Duval (different ownership). They serve combination plates with reasonable portions and dishes which were a step above the regular tourist food you get in tourist areas. They are better than the downtown Chinese restaurant so if you have a car, drive here. Portions are more generous than the competition. particularly the combos, and the food is fairly authentic for tourist food. The restaurant is clean, the restroom too, with easy parking in the shopping mall parking lot, particularly since the Sears site is vacant. Service was very attentive and the food came out fast with a fairly large back staff. We ate here twice on our vacation though the food is not up to par compared to our usual San Francisco Bay Area eateries. Recommended. read more

Ordered chicken Kung pao for take out. The chicken and vegetables should be stir fried. They were not. I was completely disappointed. The wet average tasting sauce fell to the bottom. It was not thick and spicy as it should be. The fried rice looked and tasted days old. When I called to complain they offered to come by and pick the food up and return my money. The driver came by and carefully checked the food to make sure I hadn't ate it all. Felt awkward but my $12 was returned to me. read more

I'll check the take-out box below because that's what we did.... placed a big order and then brought it back to a boatload* of hungry people. (*) hee hee... I'd always wanted to use "boatload" in a more literal sense. The food was yummy, and fairly inexpensive. We fed ten people for $72 (even after tax)... and had plenty of leftovers. A word of warning for vegetarians, they use chicken stock in most dishes unless you specify otherwise. read more

They get two stars for the good customer service everything else is bad. The food taste like cleaning products and leaves a weird after taste. The meet is always cooked semi done. And halfway through eating it you feel funny. I wasn't expecting much from a Chinese food place in the Keys but this is beyond bad. read more

Horrible service, we caught fish and brought here to cook, they charged us crazy expensive like they are using their own fish, we were asking about the details and they were rude said things like they don't want to tell us about the fee because they fear won't able to afford it, not mention there were plastic bubbles in the food, they called the cops at the end because they think we can't afford it , bro we just wanted an explanation?!? read more
