Best sushi in St Albert. Probably all of Edmonton. I love this place. Crazy busy sometimes but the other day I was 8th place on the wait list and we got seated 28 minutes later. Worth the wait every time! read more

Food and service are outstanding!!! Always fresh ingredients and all the fish is worth the drive.

It's so conveniently located for me as a St Albert resident, right in downtown, so I've been many times. The service is always reliable and friendly when I go, which is much appreciated, and the building itself is well decorated, inviting, and often quiet enough to have good conversations. The sushi is good and reasonably priced, but admittedly not exceptional However, considering the convenience, absolutely wonderful service, and decent pricing, I still highly reccomend this place! read more

It's a small restaurant and packed for dinner, so get there early to put your name in for a table. I was in the area and my friend was craving sushi, so I found this place for us to try. And I'm happy we did. The food was amazing and the service was great. Will definitely be back. read more

Not too sure what the hype is. I've been here a few times because I wanted to see where the amazingness comes from but I still am not getting it. The sushi is okay. Personally I don't find the food that memorable however, some people I've spoken to claim that it's the best sushi they've ever had. I could name a few places that are far more enjoyable and filling for the price. Rolls are smaller in diameter compared to other places I've visited. The staff is very nice but that's about it. read more

Parking was a little trouble as there is construction in the area. Was able to park in a nearby parking lot as we were just ordering takeout. Not one greeted me at the door so I walked through the restaurant to the back till where I could see multiple takeout orders waiting. Eventually a nice man rang up my bill and picked my waiting order out of the take-out pile. Ate 30minutes later and it tasted great. I was happy to see they saran wrapped the soy sauce as 50% leaked out by the time it made it home. House Dynamite roll - 8 pieces for $18. Avocado and sauce on top not worth the additional $6.50 compared to Basic Dynamite roll. Sauce was good, avocado was fresh, tempura shrimp inside was fine. 9/10 for flavor minus 2 for price. Golden Roll - 8 pieces for $14. Really loved the tempura yam on top. Not sure it was worth an additional $5 compared to just getting the Appetizer tempura (5 pieces) for $9. This was my favorite of them all. 10/10 for flavor minus 1 for price. California roll - 8 pieces for $9. Classic. Good flavor, good size, great for people who are new to sushi and more reasonable price. 10/10. Potato Croquette - 3 very small pieces. Very small, Not worth the price. Not much flavor except the strong mayo sauce on top. 7/10 flavor and minus 1 point for price. Chicken Karage - Nice flavor, really tasty but portion wise NOT worth $11.50. WAY overpriced for breaded chicken and half the takeout container is iceberg lettuce. 9/10 for flavor minus 2 points for price - will not get again. They threw in a free Edamame beans (an appetizer order is $7 but not sure we received a full order). That was unexpected and super friendly! They tasted great 10/10. read more

It's okay. Went here tonight and while the staff are wonderful, the food is quite overpriced in my opinion. Our rolls were soggy, drenched in sauce, and lacked any real flavour. It's not bad for a sushi place, but our experience wasn't overly memorable and we've had far better quality elsewhere. Really wanted to love it, but can't say much other than middle of the road. read more

Came to Sushi Park again this weekend with the whole fam jam in tow, Grandma, too! We had just watched Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (Yessss!) and were hungry from all the excitement. Unfortunately, the meal fell flat for us and was just okay. Ohana-Ya just a little further south on St. Albert Trail is my current go to Sushi joint in St. A. First off - Yay for having a kids meal but boo for serving a total of 6 thinly sliced pieces of beef over bean sprouts and calling that kid friendly teriyaki. My kids love teriyaki but over rice - not a plate of sprouts. Also, at $12, it was seriously lacking in beef. We even ordered a full plate of adult beef teriyaki to up it for them and that too was 90% bean sprouts. My hubs had the chicken and tempura Udon and while the broth was delicious it wasn't his favourite Udon. Also, he didn't care for the fact that the tempura was in the molten lava hot broth turning to absolute mush. Highlights for sure were the Seafood salad and Avocado Salad. I'd definitely order the Seafood Salad again - think finely chopped sashimi over a mix of greens with a delicious gingery rice vinegar dressing. We tried a few rolls - but again none were stand outs for us. At darn near $100, I'd rather go to Ohana-Ya (St. A) or Sushi Factory (Leduc). read more

MMMMM I like this place so much that I would come here again and use my gas despite the price of it. The sushi was very fresh and the flavors of everything in each dish compliments each other very well. The service was also impeccable, amazing waitress and amazing chefs. My friend and I were lucky to recieve samples of their volcano roll and I highly recommend because it is crispy and yummy of course. But to our order, we got an assortment of sushi, sashimi and rolls. They were all professionally made like a real Japanese restaurant from Japan despite being in Canada. Well I hope to come here again and bring my future mother in law to discuss world events. read more

Amazing service and delicious sushi and miso soup! I crave Sushi Park all the time. Their salmon sashimi is out of this world fresh! I also absolutely love their scallop nigiri. Hands down my go-to sushi place north of the N Sask River. read more

While there isn't many Japanese restaurants in St. Albert to choose from and whenever I'm at work and craving sushi this is where I'd order from. It's actually a pretty good decent place as price point is about the same with other places, and the taste and quality is pretty good as well. Overall, it could be better, but this totally satisfied my sushi cravings. read more

Great little cozy place. Awesome sushi too etc. Been going here for years and the staff are always pleasant.

A lovely belated Valentines Date for me and the fella. Service is always good, though I wish the starters were finished before the rest of our order was brought out. Not the worst but it meant we had a massive table of food, luckily we were at a 4 seater and had room. The octopus on the sashimi platter was a tad chewy but apart from that everything was top notch. Can highly recommend to takoyaki and the tuna tataki appetizers. We also had a taster sent by the chef which was a nice touch. Value for money for sure. I wish half stars were an option because I definitely would say 4 1/2 stars. read more

I'm pretty sure we got the scraps leftover from the day, even though we ordered a hour and 15 mins before close. I feel confident I know what is typical quality for these choices & I am not a picky eater. This was awful food & service. The receptionist was unsure & confusing right from the beginning, it was a mess getting the order together, but this didn't make us upset. For pick up, I had to awkwardly STAND & wait at the till for THIRTY MINUTES!! No apology, not even an offer to sit down, or a discount for forgetting to make our $80.33 order. *Assorted tempura $21.00- Overpriced, SATURATED in Oil & cold- Uneatable-Even after pressing paper-towel on it, it was still completely saturated. Thrown in the garbage. *Dynamite roll $11.50- Overpriced & SO SMALL, probably smaller than 3/4" thick!! And 3/4 the typical circumference. *Chicken Yakisoba $18.00- Overpriced & despicable - First told that it was available with Shrimp (confirmed when ordering). 10 mins after order was placed, we were called back & told it wasn't available, & beef wasn't either. Chicken was NOT what my boyfriend wanted, he took it out of frustration. The dish was small, had barely any meat, so oily and drowning in sauce. Tokyo Express makes better. Also thrown in the garbage. *Chirashi Donburi $26.00- WAY Overpriced - but done well Even with one good dish, the other massive fails made this entire meal miserable and left us still hungry $80 later. So EXPENSIVE, so disappointed. We called and complained, but were so frustrated we didn't even want a resolution. read more

Sushi Park - Always forget to take it when it arrives. - Sushi Bars Near Me - St. Albert, Alberta

Wow, St. Albert is starting to pile up on the Japanese restaurants. With Yuzen and Ohana-Ya nearby, Sushi Park is the newest kid to enter the playing field. The more options, the merrier! Bbop and I decided to check them out for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The weather was hot so we decided to kick back and enjoy the patio outside. The inside is brand new (the washroom's still smell of fresh paint) but everything looks warm and inviting. I really liked their two-table patio - watch cars cruise on by along St. Anne's street. The servers and sushi chefs are all friendly and greet their hello's when you enter. Service is good but they had a bit of trouble with their English. - Miso soup - complimentary bowl of miso soup. Standard but always a nice way to start your meal. - Deluxe sashimi ($32.00) - we actually ordered the assorted sashimi ($17.00 for 10 pieces) but they mixed things up with our other order. All good, more sashimi (20 pieces) is always a good thing in my books. The sashimi (from top left clockwise) was salmon, sockeye salmon, tuna, amaebi (sweet shrimp), tai (red snapper) and tako. We were both extremely impressed by the quality of everything. The tako was the best Bbop's ever had. The amaebi had a hint of sweetness to it that was just perfect. These are waaaaaaaaaaaay better than regular ebi. I'm converted. They also had a couple of deep fried shrimp heads to eat and suck the insides of. - Assorted sushi ($18.00) - california rolls (8 pieces) and 7 pieces of chef choice sushi. They gave us 3 extra pieces of sushi which was awesome. Apparently, they've been giving out a few freebies to people, which is a great way to get customers to come back. Heck, my one friend has been there four or five times in the past two weeks. The assortment of nigiri was awesome. Totally wasn't expecting the variety and quality to be this good. From bottom left going clockwise, they gave us two chopped scallops, hokkigai (surf clam), tako, unagi, salmon, tuna, tai, smoked salmon and ika (squid). The ika had the most interesting texture - a bit creamy but a weird yet somewhat pleasant texture to it. The chopped scallop was fantastic. Happy they gave us two of those to try! Overall, we were both pretty impressed with what Sushi Park is bringing to the table. Pretty good sushi quality for Edmonton standards. Just wish they had a lunch menu/specials and I'd be here all the time! read more

This place was a fairly small Sushi Restaurant but enough room between tables. The Server offered us a free sample of their Volcano Rolls and and another type of Roll that was not on the menu. It was nice that the Server asked us if there were no allergies before we started out orders. Everything we ordered was delicious and were very surprised of the size of each piece of Sashimi! Sushi perfection! What a find. Service was excellent. The restaurant was so clean and the ambiance relaxing and authentic.

Being in St. Albert, we don't have many real sushi options, which is unfortunate because my husband and I love sushi! We were craving Sushi one night, and a friend recommended this place! Don't be discouraged by the hole-in-the-wall appearance and location of this restaurant! This place is incredible! The food is delicious, and actually tastes like quality seafood, and the servers know what they are talking about when they are describing their food. We ordered a few different things to try, and were also served little small bites created by the chef at the beginning of our meal. This location also has a patio for the couple of warm months we have! read more

We had a great experience dining in here- good food, even better service. We will be back!

The food is fairly good here (consistent and served fairly quickly) but the Service is not so great.

A fabulous sushi stop as I was passing through St. Albert! Being my first visit, I am impressed enough with the service, food, quality and facility to give 5 stars. First the service was warm and friendly with a helpful waitress who took the time to help me make a selection based on what I love when I order sushi. My expectations are high after enjoying authentic Japanese sushi after nearly two years of residence in Japan. At no time I feel delayed or hurried by the service. Well done on a Monday evening. Second, the food is outstanding in presentation, portion and freshness with wonderful flavours that brought back my experience of Japan. So delicious in every bite. Take your time to savour each piece of sushi and not overlap each without a cleanse with some ginger, salad or a sip of Sapporo beer! Your taste buds will thank you so they can enjoy the distinct flavours of each type of sushi. A very refreshing salad! The Miso soup was wonderful and flavourful. Third, the quality is great! Nothing fishy tasting, fresh ingredients that blended together well with the sweetness of soy and hotness from wasabi. A real delight with generous nigiri sushi. Loved it! I want more! Fourth, the faculty is clean, nicely lit and decorated. While not an authentic Japanese experience, nonetheless it's inviting and comfortable. It's a good place to bring friends or family for on or up to six table seating. Although I'm sure for larger groups the tables could easily be custom arranged for more. Overall I'm impressed with Sushi Park and what it offered. Even enjoyed a free sample of Tempura Roll and the Lettuce/Salad. It's a place I'd like to return to and try other menu items. read more

I hate to be that "guy"... however, I feel this message is important to share..especially if you have allergies to certain seafood. We love sushi and have eaten sushi all around the globe. Our take-out experience with this restaurant has been our worst. We ordered (for pick-up) the Party Tray B. The contents of the tray are listed on the menu (i.e. neither shrimp nor crab are listed...nor a caveat that allows the "chef" to substitute items). When we arrived at home, much of the tray (at least 30%) was shrimp and crab. These ingredients were not listed as part of the sushi that we ordered. Given members of our house do have shellfish allergies, they were very disappointed...as were the parents who just spent $70 on food we could not all enjoy. The outcome is clear...they can substitute anything they wish for items that you order. The descriptions are subject to whatever they wish to pass to you. Just be careful and check your order, before leaving the restaurant. Otherwise, their ingredients were not fresh. I do not know how they receive such high ratings. read more

I'm majorly overdue in giving this place a well deserved 5 star review! The quality of the food and service here is EXCELLENT! One thing I noticed that they don't have set bento box meals. Sometimes these are an easy default choice if you're not sure what to order. But often times bento box meals can be kind of boring. At Sushi Park there's a wide variety of delicious options for you to choose from. My favorite dishes here include but are not limited to the following: 1) Seafood salad. This dish is definitely for those who are fans of raw seafood (different types of raw fish) and don't get queasy when they see things like pieces of octopus tentacles. So good! 2) The toro (tuna belly) and the chopped scallop sushi. Fresh and delicious! 3) Chicken karaage. These crunchy chicken pieces are small and served on a bed of greens. Yummy! 4) Prawn tempura. Hot, crunchy, tasty and not too oily. I haven't met a dish I didn't like here. Even the ones I wasn't expecting to eat! A couple times I've been here, the chef has given a special dish on the house. All of these have been absolutely yummy! It's so fun and exciting to taste these surprise dishes! I definitely recommend coming here to eat! read more

Update: I've upgraded my rating to 5 stars because I continue to eat here for lunch and dinner and I'm very happy with the consistency of their products. We order pretty much the same items every time we go and I've never had an issue or complaint. The toro sashimi (tuna belly) is trimmed and cut beautifully and each portion is a nice size (6 pieces for $18). The large assorted tempura (12 pieces for $18) comes with an interesting variety of items: 4 prawns, 2 onions rings, 2 squash, 2 yams, 1 string bean, and 1 broccoli head. Also their chopped scallop roll always has a generous amount of fresh baby scallops in a tasty sauce with very little rice wrapping the whole thing together. The staff are friendly, attentive, quick to respond, and clean. They also remember me every time I come even if it's been a month or two. I will continue to eat here and enjoy it! I've been here for lunch a few times now and we've ordered similar items. Park Salad - decent size, decent dressing, and it comes with random bits of seafood that were tempura deep fried then packed together and served with a sauce. Toro sashimi - very fresh, good size pieces, and slightly cheaper then other places in the city. Chicken Karage - this dish is tasty because its basically crispy deep fried pieces of chicken skin with a mayo dip. You can't really go wrong with that but it's 8 pretty small pieces for $6. We usually add one of their fancy rolls as well. This ends up coming to around $45 with a coke. Now it is a Korean owned Japanese restaurant and that's very common in Vancouver which is where the family came from. read more

My husband and I went here tonight for dinner. When we arrived we were seated immediately and handed the menus. We have had some terrible prawn tempura at places in the past but always give it a try once when trying a new restaurant. It was DELICIOUS! The dipping sauce was perfect. Exactly what I was looking for (used to go to Maki Maki for it only.. the sushi at Maki has gone downhill.) After we finished our tempura they brought us their house salad complimentary as it would take a while for our 2 rolls to be done. It had a peanut dressing and we really enjoyed it! We ordered a viking roll and a crazy roll. Both were very delicious, and quite fresh (for Alberta sushi anyways). The only complaint I have is that the rolls were a little on the lose side and fell apart easily. If they work on that and speed up their service it will easily get this review upgraded to 5 stars. It did take a while to have them come to our table. We had to call for a to go box and then they packed it up and brought the bill. Overall it's a great place to try, it's brand new so give them a chance to fix some of the issues. I can't wait to go back and try more. read more
