It tastes like heaven dripping down the sides of my tongue and into the pool of dribble that sits in the bottom of my mouth. The big white polystyrene take away bowl which holds the gold inside is a sight that makes my nostrils flare and my eyelids zoot open! I went through a stage of having this dish four times a week but after a while told myself this was a bit ridiculous and I needed to back off. I still visit often though and am never disappointed. I have had this same Japanese dish from many other little sushi shops but NEVER has it come close to living up to what the wonderful people here make for me. Another little thing that makes this place a bit of a thrill is the window that looks right onto the busy main road of Mairangi Bay. If you're a nosy neighbour or a bit of a gossip this is a great place to perch and watch the world pass by. You never know who you're going to see driving past in a new boyfriends car or carting huge amounts of laundry to the dry cleaners across the street. It's entertainment while you eat! FIVE STARS!

The miso had a load of flavour and was clearly not of the packet variety, the edamame beans were perfectly salted, the salad of finely cut cabbage and japanese mayo was crunchy and fresh but the real star of the dish was most definitely the chicken. It was cooked to perfection and was unbelievably tender plus the teriyaki marinade was one of the best ever had. My only teensy tiny complaint was that serving size seemed small given the price.
