Comme Chez Soi is an Asian buffet restaurant. I visited this place a Saturday night. The staff were…read morefriendly. It has good selections of stir fried seafood, meat and vegetables, excellent desserts, and okay sushi. The raw bar is a little questionable to me. I don't know if there is any decent asian buffet in either San Francisco or Boston area, and as far as I know this place is better than what remains in either area.

I'll be straight up honest here - my favorite part about Comme Chez Soi is that, being a buffet,…read moreit's a lot more time efficient than dining out elsewhere in Paris. Sometimes you just want to get your food, chow down, pay and bounce as quickly as possible. Maybe it's because you've spent the day walking around. Or you're getting home super late from work. The last thing you want is an hour plus long meal experience, but you also don't want fast food. The food is fine here, if a bit random. There's a big ham leg in the middle, some simple sushi, fried items, salads, cheeses. I like the ice cream and fruit selection they have. They also have a grill in the back where they will cook up stuff fresh for you. Go for the mushrooms and steak. However, it's not really clear when your food is ready or if someone will bring it to you. Other than that though, the service is generally good. The staff here seem to be really interested in people's places of origin...they were surprised I was Filipino American and asked me to teach them some Tagalog words. If you're in Paris on vacation, this is far from a destination spot. But if you're just tired as hell, it's a welcome sight.

Once you're finally inside, the staff is super nice and efficient (it helps having only a few things on the menu), and the salad is very refreshing after waiting so long to eat. The house red wine is very good, too. The steak comes rare, medium, or well done. If you usually go for medium-rare like I do, I recommend going rare. It was perfectly pink on the inside but still had a good bite. The steak is excellent, and the sauce is to die for. And the French fries? Out of this world. It may seem a little gimmicky that they refill your plate, but you'll be so happy with how good the food is, it doesn't matter. I used the fries to scrape the plate clean. I was sadly too stuffed to try the dessert, but it looked fantastic. Definitely recommend getting to the restaurant before they open and waiting out the line -- the steak and fries are more than worth it!

I am changing my mind by 2 stars. Its a gimmick but I enjoyed it. Sitting outside in Paris with a thin little piece of steak with a very nice sauce with some french fries soaking up all of the (everything) is not a bad way to spend a night. Oui?

They have an English menu and a very lovely server that spoke English. Here's what we had: -Fried shrimps and egg roll with sweet dipping sauce - very good and very similar to what I'm used to in L.A. -Noodles with shrimp - tasty and they had sambal oelek to drench it with. -Cantonese fried rice - probably my favorite. The rice was cooked to perfection and had a great flavor. -Imperial shrimps - a lot of shrimp with onions and a lot of garlic. The shrimp could've been cooked a little more but good nonetheless We had jasmine tea that was delicious. I would really recommend anyone staying in the area to try this place is you are craving Chinese food. It really hits the spot.

Dim Sum in Paris. Shoot why not?…read more Reviews were great. My husband loves dim sum. So we figured let's go get some. For us, it was A-OK. Probably tasted better to us because we were tired of pizza, sandwiches, etc. loved that they have an all you can eat option. they have a set menu for their all you can eat. once they bring out their set menu items you're allowed to inform them of which items you'll like to eat more of. why i loved that they have an all you can eat option? the price for it was pretty reasonable compared to everything else we've been eating in europe. it gave us the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. did it taste like dim sum in LA? unfortunately not. nothing was super memorable to me and once i tried each item i didn't really wanna reorder anything. the XLB had no juice inside of it. which i totally was disappointed about. esp when XLB is known to be good because it is juicy. service was pretty good. food came out really quick. you'll leave smelling like deep fried food since they make some of the food right in front of the window. overall, if you want to get more bang for your buck and wanna have some asian food then i would say try it out. if not it's definitely passable. tips: *accepts credit cards and cash *restrooms are available. *staff speaks english, french, and chinese. *street parking *serves alcohol. *takes reservation. *no wifi. *ask for tap water to save $ *within walking distance to the metro.

Nevertheless, they rearranged all their existing customers in order to accomodate us! Grateful to them as well as the other diners. We were blown away by the food! Everything was very flavorful and authetnic (not like US takeout). We had a plethora of dishes included dumplings, fried tofu, eggplant, string beans, sauteed beef, fried chicken, and noodles (apologies I don't have the exact dish names as I didn't do the ordering). It was all sooo good! We also had little cakes for dessert. We ordered 3 and the owner was so kind to throw in a 4th as we couldn't settle on the flavors (matcha, mango, coconut, and espresso). I don't think they make them in-house but they're delicious nonetheless. With good food and good service, I'll definitely be back!

I am an old guy. I have been to many restaurants all over. Asia Food is unique. While it is a…read morekind of buffet, it does not have the drawback of having to select your food from large pans that have been sitting out for who knows how long. Each item you select is made fresh for you. And, you don't have to get up and get the items you want. A very competent waitress will take the order sheet that you prepare and deliver the food to your table. It takes a little while to figure out how to mark this sheet, but, the waitress will help. The menu has 85 different selections. Chinese and Japanese items are available. There are a few Thai selections too. You can order your selections up to 4 times. Just pick a number that coincides with the item on the menu. First time pick 5 or 6. Seaweed salad, nems, Thai salad, kabobs, all manners of sushi (remember there are 85 choices). Repeat the process once or twice again. When you have eaten your fill, don't forget to walk up to the cooler display case and pick out a fruit salad, lichi with pomegranate, lemon tarte, or, your choice of ice cream which you scoop out of the little ice cream freezer. The price of 18 euros for dinner is a bargain. Despite this rave review, if the decor is your thing, you may not appreciate the interior. Best described as Chinese funky. Little paste-ups on the wall will appeal to the kids. Service is fast and efficient and if you have a good attitude, the folks who run the place will treat you very nicely.
