Went to sushi heads over the weekend after finally trying to make time to go there. Sushi heads is new in the area and had a very charming pair of Japanese women behind the counter.
We had popped in to make an order that would be ready by the time we had finished at the pub just spent down the road.
I'm not actually sure if there are sets but we got an array of individual sushi and group of sushi (comes in 6 and 4's) to order. I must say the prices are very very good value whatever the quality.
They were waiting when we arrived 15 mins later and took them back to the house. Overall my comments would be that it didn't seem packed with fish in each sushi, quite ricey, but I could taste the freshness which was of course good.
For sushi pieces of 6 to be £3.50 or thereabouts it is great value and cheap sushi fare. The quality of service is great and it's seems to be growing in popularity here in terms of trade.
I thought the karaage chicken at only £1.80 and individual mackerel at £1.30 is fantastic. I think the sushi rolls might appear quite ricey heavy but for price as I say is great. And you should defo get individual pieces of nigiri that focus on fish on top of rice to demonstrate on the meaty fish.
Wasabi and soy is free too. I will defintely be back for this affordable piece of sushi at sushi heads and to speak to the great staff. read more
