They brew their beer onsite and you can buy beer and souvenirs to take home. Monday - lunch I liked their honey cream ale. Gord had a Caesar wrap and fries. I had the burger and fries special (for $15). Both were good. Abby was our server and she friendly and chatty and took good care of us. Tuesday - supper That night the special was $18 for a pint and a pound of chicken wings so that's what Gord and I had. His were battered and mine were battered and then tossed in medium sauce. Yum! Leah was our friendly and chatty server. Wednesday - supper When we went for supper, it was jammed inside so we ate outside in the "beer garden". I had the steak and frites special ($25). I'd ask for medium and the steak was well-done but happily still tender. The fries were overdone. Gord had a club sandwich and said it was good. His fries were overdone too. This is such a cool, relaxed place. We absolutely loved the atmosphere, both inside and outside, and I especially appreciate how dog-friendly it is. Our pups were more than welcome, which always earns bonus points from us! The patio is super chill and has some fun extras like bocce and even a little food truck, although unfortunately the food truck was closed because of the weather during our visit. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. I ended up getting a pint of their Hibiscus IPA, which is their summer specialty beer, and it was fantastic! Really tasty and refreshing. My only disappointment was that there weren't more specialty beers available to try. Since I've already had most of their regular beers from stores, I was hoping to find several unique taproom-only or seasonal options, but the Hibiscus IPA was the only one available that I hadn't already tried. My wife went with a flight of seltzers, and unfortunately, we weren't huge fans of those. I'm not sure if they were just a little flat during our visit or if that's how they're supposed to taste, but they came across more like mildly flavoured water to us. We'd definitely recommend sticking with the beers! Overall, though, this is a great spot and a must-visit, especially if you've never tried Muskoka Brewery's beers before. So naturally, we brought our two little dogs and grabbed a spot on the patio. My wife and I both got beer flights, and we were really impressed with quite a few of the beers. We're pretty picky when it comes to sours, but the Cherry Cheesecake Sour and Guava Sour were standouts for us. Both were fantastic and easily some of our favourites of the flight. For food, I went with the Smoked Mac & Cheese. It was a little soupy underneath the top layer of cheese, but it still had an awesome smoky flavour, especially with the brisket mixed in. The BBQ drizzle was awesome and sweet too. Overall, I really enjoyed it. My wife got the Fish Tacos. She enjoyed the flavour, although she's had better fish tacos elsewhere. They became soggy pretty quickly, but she still liked them overall. Unfortunately, what really put a damper on our visit was an interaction involving our dogs. At one point, a couple with dogs came onto the patio. Our dogs barked as they walked by, and one of their dogs was also pretty reactive, which actually made us feel a little better because we knew we weren't the only ones dealing with that. However, we were later told by staff that we'd have to leave if our dogs continued barking. We've visited a lot of dog-friendly breweries and patios, and we've honestly never had this issue before. We completely understand that excessive barking can disturb other customers, and we're always responsible for our dogs, but being told we'd have to leave really rubbed us the wrong way, especially in a place that advertises itself as dog-friendly. What made it worse was that we immediately felt anxious and uncomfortable for the rest of our visit. Instead of being able to relax and enjoy our food, we felt like we had to rush through the rest of our meal because we were worried our dogs might bark again and we'd be asked to leave. It really wasn't a good feeling at all, and unfortunately it took away a lot of the enjoyment from what had otherwise been a nice visit. What's frustrating is that the staff themselves were actually very, very nice. I had a great conversation with one of the employees and have nothing bad to say about the people working there. It was specifically the handling of the dog situation that really disappointed us. If you're going to advertise yourself as dog-friendly, we feel there should be a reasonable expectation that dogs are going to...well, act like dogs sometimes. The beer was excellent, the food was good, and the staff were friendly, but unfortunately that interaction and the anxiety it caused for the remainder of our meal...brought our overall rating way down. Its in the back of a lane, so its not off the street. Yet, Bracebridge is on the small side so, its pretty easy to find. I believe they also play some local bands. I'd say more about the bathroom being small and them having an ecclectic collection of photos and the like. Yet I do not fully recall all about the ins and outs. Its kinda vague for me. I find its always nice to look at that kinda thing. Makes me have an appreciation for not being the only Collector of the odd. The person that was working the day we went, absolutely phenomenal. He was on the cute side, super friendly and accomodating. I ordered the plant based burger with their in season, warmed beet and chard salad, yet what appeared on my dish was not plant based. I'm not entirely fussy about the juices of the beef or anything. However when I asked him about it, he promptly was willing to have the whole dish redone. He seemed rather appaled that he had made a mistake like that, given he was plant based himself. Perhaps it was me not being assertive enough, or perhaps something was missed when the order was taken, either way immediate action was taken to quickly rectify the situation. And it was awesome! This to me, bespeaks of going above and beyond, which is something I resonate strongly with because I am that type of way myself. Would definitely return.

They've got Ontario craft beers and a chilled wine area to cater to the diverse tastes of cottage goers and locals. It's right on the main road through Rosseau, you can't miss it. Perfect if you didn't feel like waiting in a huge Friday night line up in the city and can manage one evening at the cottage without drinking. Or, alternately, you drank through all your booze first night up and need to load up. Plenty of parking. Don't drink and drive, kids.

Both were fantastic and really enjoyable. The staff were also awesome! They were super friendly and even gave us a couple of additional samples to try, which we really appreciated. It's always nice when the people working somewhere are that welcoming and willing to share some of the brewery's other offerings. Not the best experience this afternoon at the Barrelhouse. We came here after a round of golf. We were told the kitchen was having some problems, so we waited. When we finally got our food it was extremely underwhelming. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was super dry, and there was supposed to be coleslaw on it, the coleslaw was just red cabbage and red pepper strips. The Caesar salad was mid. The others I was with ordered the Brunch breakfast plates; one had the pulled pork plate and the other had the brisket plate.... There was barely any food on each of their plates! It also looked like it just got thrown together. This place has a great ambiance and a good selection of beer, but the food and quality was not there. I don't think we'll be back.

This section of the mall is further from highway 7, and you can clearly see the housing that has been built up, behind the beer store. This beer store is in a stand alone section in the same plaza as the Rona, Starbucks, and the liquor store. There's an are of the store where they accept returns, and they do offer a reasonable selection of beers - as cheaply as $1.45 per can. However, I discovered that the beer store does not carry my favourite beer - Newcastle Brown - and the clerk suggested that I try the LCBO! I had no luck there either; apparently it wasn't selling fast enough :-( What will I drink when I'm watching Coronation Street?!
