Very tasty cream ale. Fun place with lots of outdoor seating in really pretty country. Would go…read moreback again when I have more time and people with me. The fire pits look great. Lots of cool merch, too.

On our way back from a Muskoka getaway, we made a split-second highway exit kind of decision to…read morestop in here - and it was meant to be. Friday afternoon, approaching 4pm, we parked in the large lot, and had a refreshing sample of Wandr (non-alcoholic sparkling tea beverage) on the way into the main entrance. A brewery tour was just beginning, so we were gratefully whisked into the cool production area behind the shoppe with James, a home-brew maker, beer enthusiast and clear fan of Muskoka Brewery. Tour details: It costs just $5 for about 40 minutes to tour the production site with interesting and surprising details of how this became one of Canada's favourite breweries. No long boring lists of facts and figures. Photos are encouraged, and you'll emerge back into the brew shoppe with a free frosty cold can of the beer that started it all: Muskoka Brewery Cream Ale. Once back in the retail area, you'll find t-shirts, hoodies and hats with the cool northern vibe, and sample anything on the menu. We tried (then bought) gin, Wandr (Lemonade Lemongrass!) and several different craft beers. Though we didn't stay to dine on the large covered patio, we could hear the live music while we shopped, and were surprised at how genuinely helpful and friendly every staff member was. If you want to chill out and enjoy good beverages in a laid-back, woodsy yet polished Canadian vibe - this is worth the drive.

I loved my experience in coming here!…read more The space was lovely, really old school vibe. They had a small bar inside, with seating and a beautiful patio outside. Its in the back of a lane, so its not off the street. Yet, Bracebridge is on the small side so, its pretty easy to find. I believe they also play some local bands. I'd say more about the bathroom being small and them having an ecclectic collection of photos and the like. Yet I do not fully recall all about the ins and outs. Its kinda vague for me. I find its always nice to look at that kinda thing. Makes me have an appreciation for not being the only Collector of the odd. The person that was working the day we went, absolutely phenomenal. He was on the cute side, super friendly and accomodating. I ordered the plant based burger with their in season, warmed beet and chard salad, yet what appeared on my dish was not plant based. I'm not entirely fussy about the juices of the beef or anything. However when I asked him about it, he promptly was willing to have the whole dish redone. He seemed rather appaled that he had made a mistake like that, given he was plant based himself. Perhaps it was me not being assertive enough, or perhaps something was missed when the order was taken, either way immediate action was taken to quickly rectify the situation. And it was awesome! This to me, bespeaks of going above and beyond, which is something I resonate strongly with because I am that type of way myself. Would definitely return.

Awesome spot tucked off the Main Street, well worth a visit!…read moreWarm friendly environment

Came in for a bachelorette evening. We wanted a low key evening of live music and hanging out on…read morethe patio We reserved a patio seating a couple days prior, when we called to let them know we would be a couple minutes late (Uber issues) they let us know that they didn't reserve seats on the patio and it was first come first serve and they weren't going to be holding a table outside for us. Not ideal and weren't impressed as we reserved it a few days prior on the patio. Thankfully when we arrived there was one table available that sat our party of 6. Service was good. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Additional service notes: 1. We didn't all receive waters until 45 minutes into the experience, and we had to ask multiple times for them. 2. The food service itself took a long time considering it wasn't super busy - mains took 1-1.5 hours after ordering. 3. When we finished our dinner we sat with dirty plates for a very long time before they were removed. 4. Coming from Toronto typically when bars/restaurants learn of a special occasion they will comp something or send out celebratory shooters to "get the party going" - could be the area, but was a little disappointed by the lack of acknowledgement from the establishment. However the Food was good, traditional pub fare. Nothing outstanding. Price was a little expensive for what you do get. Drinks were underwhelming. We don't recommend the margaritas. Tasted like bar lime - no tequila taste and for 12-13$ (Toronto pricing) they really should have tasted better considering. Surprised most drinks were $9+ for the area and they were out of coolers and had limited options. There was supposed to be live music but they didn't arrive or go on. (Part of the reason we chose this particular bar). That would have been nice to know ahead of time as we would have likely moved a reservation to a live music spot. All in all in the area that was close to us - Not bad. But not what we had anticipated when we reserved. Basic pub, nice patio - good view If you are looking for live music I would call and ask the day of, as the band/person never showed up to our evening as advertised. Personally I wouldn't go back - unfortunately nothing special.
