I have been seeing Dr. Schwartz now for over seven years. She is straight to the point doesn't share or sugar coat nothing! That's all I want in a doctor. She might not cater to all the nonsense, but she will tell you the way it is and what you need to do to get better. When I had stage four cancer, she was the person that diagnosed it and got me the best care that I could received. I am still here and they gave me a 20 to 25% chance of survival. I attribute my life to her diagnosing it and seeing it before it got worse than it was. So if you want nonsense care, I'll highly recommend Dr. Schwartz read more

TLDR: Listen to the 1 star reviews! Dr. Schwartz is not the doctor you want to see. Outdated business practices, a dog in the office, uncertainty about cleanliness about tools, and overall will give the feeling that you are not important nor listened to. Know your copay before you go in, as she overcharged me. They will not call you to confirm or remind of your appointment, and there is no digital paperwork, so be sure to arrive early to fill out 12-15 sheets of paperwork with minimal instruction. There is two waiting rooms. The main one you walk into, and then they move you into a different one before seeing the doctor. During my appointment, the nurse/front desk receptionist "forgot" about me, after putting me in the second waiting room, even admitted it, and hurriedly did my paperwork and took my vitals just as the doctor was coming to get me. Dr. Schwartz office is the same room you will have your exam in. During my visit, she also had a dog in that room as well. As an ENT that is dealing with people who have allergies, it was honestly a shame and quite shocking to see a dog in the same room you are having your exam in. Dr. Schwartz will talk over you, interrupt you and then repeat everything you said to her 5 times over, but I she doesn't actually listen as what she "prescribed" to me is what I have already been doing for months. No clue if her instruments are cleaned between patients as they are just laying out in a her very cluttered exam room/office combo. She will shuffle you out without giving you a chance to ask any questions or discuss your matter further. Finally, she overcharged me for my copay. $40 more than my EOB states I should pay. Endless wait, little to no staff, doctor reads your detailed history to patient every visit. Old dog in examining room, Doctor is doing front and back office work and trying to do her work. One front office worker on occassion when at least two are needed as well as at least one or more backoffice person needed. I absolutely love Dr. Schwartz. She is not folksy but she knows her stuff and gets the job done. The first time I saw her I had gone to the doctors five times and still had an earache after many rounds of antibiotics. I was able to get an appointment quickly. I did sit awhile in her waiting room. Within five minutes, she found the problem fix the problem and gave me maintenance tips so the problem wouldn't come back. Over ten years ago I became chronically ill. After months of going to different doctors and being told I just had a sinus infection, I decided to go to an ENT and I chose Dr. Susan Schwartz because my sister recommended her. I am SO GLAD she did! Not only was she VERY knowledgeable but she was the FIRST doctor who FINALLY diagnosed me with a thyroid problem, and that was the start of my path to recovery! I am SO GRATEFUL to Dr. Schwartz for that and I have been going to her ever since for any issues that have to do with my ears! This doctor was so scattered and has no clue what's happening in her office. The office is filthy, she's very rough with kids, billing overcharged me and it took 6 months to resolve, you call the office and the lady answers the phone with food in her mouth. In 2020 I visited Dr. Schwartz on account of hearing loss. I was more than happy with her treatment. So much so that recently I recommended my husband see her on account of his hearing loss. He was extremely happy with her too, especially with the time she took with him and her many in-office tests. After his visit, I was stricken with a case of Vertigo. Rather than see my pcp, I decided to see Dr. Schwartz again, and boy am I happy I did. She is compassionate and thorough and obviously knows her "stuff". She treated me with care and listened to all of my concerns and gave me a very detailed course of action to pursue. She is quite a busy doctor and as a result wait times may be more than expected, but hang in there, the wait is worth the result. Also, as a human aside, she has adopted her now deceased father's blind and deaf dog, that is also elderly. She brings the pup to work with her because the pup can't be home alone for obvious reasons. Both my husband and I found this to be wonderful. The pup causes no harm, is mostly asleep and when awake, does not disturb anyone or anything. If anything, that pup has a soothing effect. More people should have this type of empathy! read more

She is the only doctor I've ever been to that genuinely cared to help me, and it's very obvious that she cares about her practice and the well-being of her patients. Not only is she thorough and efficient, but she's very friendly and compassionate. I started seeing Dr. Schwartz after recurring infections, and she was the only person to take me seriously and truly help me. After so long of receiving poor medical care and having so many illnesses that majorly affected my life and ability to do normal things, finding Dr. Schwartz was a game-changer. I have never gotten into an office so quickly; every time I called, I was in that day or the next. She works incredibly hard, and while she is efficient, I never felt like she was aloof or not giving me the time I needed. It was also the first time I'd ever been given any explanation for what was happening to me, and after years of being told to "take vitamins" or handed different medications with no further evaluation, it was truly eye-opening to see what a good doctor is. During a period when I was dealing with ongoing illness, I had seen other doctors who were not able to help me effectively, and that's when I found Dr. Schwartz-- even as a new patient, I was scheduled right away and I have to say I have never seen a doctor work so fast to help me. She scheduled all of the necessary tests immediately and took great care to find the right antibiotic for me, after having had reactions to other treatments. I was amazed, I had really never experienced anything like that in my life. Not only that, but I was embarrassingly emotional about my health during that time, and Dr. Schwartz's demeanor was exactly what I needed. She was honest and blunt about what needed to be done, but kind and reassuring that everything would be resolved. As a young adult dealing with health issues I never thought I'd have, it made an enormous difference. I got sick again later on, which turned out to be another throat infection. I called and she got me in just a few hours later, and she let me know that when I was better I would need my tonsils out. When I asked for the surgery to happen as soon as possible, she made it happen. There were complications with my insurance that would have prevented the surgery from happening, and she worked extremely hard to get it resolved in time for me. I mean I literally watched her fight for me, it was practically a miracle. I had never had a surgery before, and I went in feeling completely secure, hardly nervous at all, because I knew I was in good hands. The surgery went very well, as did my recovery- she was very thorough and let me know beforehand all the things to do and not to do. She later told me that my tonsils were completely covered in scar tissue from the amount of infections I'd had, yet it still went perfectly thanks to her. We had follow-up visits after, and while I normally hate medical visits, I was always glad to see Dr. Schwartz. When I left my final follow-up, it felt like saying goodbye to a friend. It is so evident that she cares so deeply about her patients, and that combined with her incredible work-ethic and thorough knowledge and experience in her field, really makes her stand out as a medical professional. Highly recommend Dr. Schwartz. After experiencing sudden hearing loss and tinnutis for the first time. I was in a state of deep panic. She was the only ENT who called me back and scheduled me in to come right away. On a Friday no less which I am so grateful for. She prescribed me some medication for my hearing loss and recommended some otc for the tinnutis. I was referred to Dr. Schwartz by my primary care provider over at St. Rose Siena. A "curtain" of earwax had been stuck deep inside my right ear for a week and a half, blocking my eardrum and making it difficult to hear out of it. When home care solutions, such as hydrogen peroxide diluted with water, did not work, I tried getting it drained over at Siena, with barely any results. As a last resort, I made an appointment here, which surprisingly, they were able to get me in right away. After scheduling my appointment over the phone, I was able to print and fill out all the required paperwork at home and bring it with me to the office, which saved me a lot of time. This office isn't far from home so I didn't have to leave my house an hour early, like I do with a few doctors I see at the moment. While my appointment was scheduled for 10:45am, I didn't get called back until 11:25am, where I had to wait close to another half hour to be seen. It seemed like they were understaffed but I later found out that Dr. Schwartz was the only doctor seeing all the patients. I was finally seen before noon, where I was taken back into a room and had to explain to Dr. Schwartz why I was having this problem and how long I've been dealing with it. After she took my blood pressure, she sat me in a red chair, where she used a suction cup-like vacuum device to get the impacted earwax out of my right ear. This made me dizzy for a minute because the suction feeling was so strong (it felt like I was on a plane that was preparing to descend), but I immediately noticed that my hearing had come back completely. Because this is an ENT clinic, she also had to look at my nose and throat in addition. Despite the long wait, I'm still giving this practice five stars. I'm happy to hear out of my right ear clearly again, however I do have to come back at the end of October for a follow-up visit. Also, an important thing to remember is that they charge a $75 no-show fee if you don't cancel or reschedule your appointment 24 hours in advance. Keep this in mind. read more

Each step was to make sure I understood the process, the treatment plan and my understanding what would be planned such as my C-T scan. As a retired RN, I felt her quality of care was excellent. While I was waiting to be seen, I checked in on Yelp and started to read some of the reviews. I began to get extremely anxious and worried about my visit after reading. Because there were so many reviews that said the office was dirty, I started looking around. I actually did not see the dust covering everyone else seems to have seen. I was LOOKING for it too. I will say it is over crowded with "stuff" and the medical logs are a nightmare for someone like me who loves organization and tidiness. The medical assistant at the check in desk was an odd duck. At first I thought he might be a misogynist or just thought I was gross in some way because he hardly made eye contact and seemed to be repulsed to touch anything after I did but I think it was just his personality. He seemed to chill a bit later. Maybe he's on edge from all the yelling. Yes, there was yelling. Waiting for the doctor felt like an eternity. She really does take her time. She explained to me that her other assistant had walked out the day before so this is why they were a bit of a mess but I sense that it is this way most of the time. I thought she was funny and she very much has a NY/NJ attitude that I saw a lot when I lived there. Her talking badly of her assistant that left was both funny and super unprofessional. I liked her. Until the medical exam started. No that's not true, she was willing to listen and was very willing to help me and get me prescriptions. She's just really rough and will manhandle you. I was seeing Dr. Schwartz because my tonsils are bad and as of right now, I still don't have an answer. She saw them and literally said, "Yeah those need to come out" but said insurance doesn't cover this procedure anymore without a sleep study. The sleep study says I have sleep apnea so I'm not allowed to have my tonsils removed. This doesn't make sense to me and I am looking for a second opinion. I don't know if I will come back to this office or not. It is very hard to make an appointment in my opinion because no one answers the phone. Maybe someone new has been hired lately and that's fixed but I haven't tried again yet. read more

I had a very disappointing experience. Susan Schwartz (deep voice lady) called to schedule my appointment but immediately asked me to hold as I can hear her, she was handling other patients, which felt disorganized. I went ahead and scheduled, thinking she was front desk staff. The day before my appointment, she called to move my time from 11:15 to 10:15 AM due to surgery. I arrived early, was greeted by another staff member, and waited. At 11:00 AM, I asked how much longer and was told one patient was ahead of me. I mentioned the surgery and was told there were no surgeries today. Then the woman who scheduled my appointment--who I realized was actually the doctor--came out and said she thought I was a no-show. Although the front desk told her I was next, she proceeded to call in a patient who arrived after me. Though the front desk person told her I was next. At that point, I asked for a refund and left with my paperwork. The experience felt unprofessional and disorganized. Be prepared to wait 1-2 hours and possibly be skipped for other patients. read more

My wife and I first saw Dr. Schwartz in Jan. 2012. We saw her many times from '12 through 2019. We went to her recently and she is nowhere the ENT she was when we first had her treat us. She spends at least half of the day in the front office where people check in, answering phones, etc. She is a mess now. This past Monday I called her office telling her she forgot to give my wife a copy of a hearing test when we were there last. I called and Dr Schwartz answered the phone. She is such a scatterbrain now. She said the results were not in yet we had just discussed them while in her office a few days earlier. She gave me a woman that is the person that should be working the front office desk and she said she was not able to hearing results via mail. I said why not? She said something about some regulation. I asked her to have Schwartz call me back but of course she did not. I called the business where she had the hearing test done. The lady I spoke to emailed the report to my email address. This office is so half assed I would not want this doctor operating on me as her mind is every where except were it should be. I also mention recently we had a 12 noon appt and it took them 2 full hours before we saw her. read more

If you don't care and want to waste time in the waiting area/lobby, come here but beware of this place - they overschedule and overbook all the time. Then they will call you and try to either reschedule (they will ask that you come on an earlier time or later than what you originally scheduled for and still wait for hours) or just cancel altogether. Minimum wait here is 2 hours. It is so disrespectful that they don't care about people's time at all. Yet, if you miss a scheduled appt (even if you had an emergency), they are quick to charge a no show fee. Please heed my advice and look for another ENT doctor. Susan is a great doctor actually but her office is horrendous with time management. This isnt the first time this happened. I will look for another doctor. read more

Very unprofessional. Small waiting room, very outdated and dirty. They still use paper charts, unorganized. During my appointment she picked up utensils to check my ears and nose from a random desk? Don't know if they were clean, or who she had used them on previously. No disposable tips used, no fresh tools that look like they had been ran through an autoclave to be sterilized. She shifted the conversation after she asked me about my employment. This lady tried to POACH me to come work for her in the middle of my appointment. Absolutely unprofessional and not the time. My medical care comes first, not the fact that your office is drowning in paperwork and you need help. She was very rude to one of her staff members & another patient right in front of me. She asked me to come back less than 24 hrs after my initial appt for a follow up for a 1 hr hearing test. I said I MIGHT be able to make it depending on child care and I'd let them know. I told her I MAY not be able to make it and I'd call them asap. She seemed to understand, considering I had my baby with me at the time. I was unable to find childcare and I could not bring a baby to a 1 hr appointment where I can't supervise him during my test. I called at 9AM, no answer and left a message that I do not have childcare and could not make it in. They did not bother to check their voicemails at all as they called me at my appointment time asking where I was. I explained again and told them to check their voicemails! After this, I read her reviews online and was shocked. I decided not to go back and cut contact. Dr. Schwartz proceeded to call me multiple times at the most absurd times in the late evening. On one occasion she called me at 9PM at night!!! When I didn't respond she eventually tacked on a no show fee of $80 because I didn't call to cancel "24 hrs in advance" even though the appt was booked less then 24 hrs later and we even had a discussion about my ability to make it in. Also - don't expect a lick of privacy in there. They will call patients to come sit in the hallway outside the rooms, you can hear literally every word coming from the patient rooms. They charged me $94.50, when my copay is $95 - then sent a bill for $5 more saying that they only charged me $90 and the extra $4.50 was a transaction fee?? They did not disclose a transaction fee. It's not the money, it's the principle. This office seems like a poorly ran money grab. Don't waste your time. I went and saw another ENT and explained my horrible experience without disclosing her name - sure enough the new ENT was able to guess her by name! My mother's experience at Dr. Schwartz office today was everything but pleasant. Issues with office verifying insurance despite confirming this information prior to the appt delayed care. The staff member at the front desk seems to be overwhelmed with tasks dictated by Dr. Schwartz. Dr. Schwartz has a negative attitude and has a poor tone of voice when she speaks. She seems to be running the business on her own with the help of the one staff and member and it's not running smooth or professionally. The first interaction with her was not welcoming and did not make my mom feel comfortable in building a good rapport with her, let alone receive care. After confirming with her billing dept that the insurance is accepted (which was recommended by her to do so) she still had questionable concerns. At that point my mom decided that she did not want to receive any services from her. Unfortunate for the staff member, it appears she is overworked and stressed out. I noticed Dr. Schwartz speaking the same way to her and to other patients that arrived. One patient even started voicing her unpleasant interaction with Dr. Schwartz as I was leaving. I hope Dr. Schwartz and her office find ways to make the patient experience more pleasant for everyone they are supposed to be serving quality care to. read more

Abusive manner. Overbooks, expecting cancelations. All cancelations are valid. Was an hour from closing, had a waiting room full. Has a 2ndary waiting room so the front doesn't look as crowded. I was seen 3 & a 1/2 hours after my appointment. DO NOT GO TO THIS DR AS A SECOND OPINION. You will be yelled at for previous care. You CANNOT mention more than one concern at a time. Everything is paper. 2008 ACA intended for records to go digital. This Dr also intentionally is trying to reduce her book of buisness to downsize, she says. Talks about not getting respect from no shows after verbal abuse. If you are hard of hearing, the staff WILL also talk about you below their breathe. Never saw a single instrument be sanitized before or after use, will use the SAME SPAY BOTTLE & NASAL DRIP ON MULTIPLE CLIENTS. Has a rough demeanor. If you don't mind getting yelled at, belittled, and waiting hours, this place may be for you. I would never trust such an angry and bitter person with my sinuses nose or throat with such a lack of quality of care and aggression. If that's how she treats people who are awake, what's done under anesthesia is unimaginable.. PS, don't be surprised if for some reason her "family" or children are all of a sudden recommended on social media.. very uncomfortable experience, gives cyber stalking. I was able to somehow schedule my dad an appointment here about an cochlear implant for a Friday. I live out of state so I have to take time off of work to travel to take my dad. Two days before the appointment, I called because I wanted to double check the appointment time/date. The nasty lady who answered the phone stated, "If it was my dad, I'd cancel the appointment because the doctor here doesn't do implants". How was I able to make an appointment in the first place? Avoid this place it seems as if they just wanted the copay for us to be ultimately told, "We don't do cochlear implants". I have to be honest, Dr. Schwartz is a doctor I would be far from recommending. I fully agree that she is always overbooked and can be quite rude although it may not be intentional. In my experience with her, there is nothing more important than the dollar sign. I won't agree about here place being dirty but it is a cracker box in size and not very well designed if you are wheelchair bound. Social communication is not one of her strong suits. I've never given a one star review for anything in my life, so that should say something. The appointment was 1.5 hours late, the front desk person was mostly absent and there was no available water so I couldn't go back to my vehicle to get water in fear of being absent when the doctor came around. When Dr. Schwartz did come, she (nor anyone else) didn't apologize for the long delay. She then proceeded to berate and belittle me every time I didn't instantly understand the medical terminology she was using, and 'muttered' how incompetent I was being in a way that I could clearly hear it. She constantly got frustrated with me every time I asked questions and condescended to me in a demeaning manner. During the treatment, there were several points where I was in pain but had no avenue to tell the doctor to stop, Dr. Schwartz just did whatever she wanted with no care of my pain level. I've been living in Vegas for almost 8 years now and unfortunately I've noticed that it's very hard to find a good doctor here.... For so many reasons! I found Dr. Susan Schwartz on Yelp and saw all her high reviews. I promise you that she totally lives up to all the good things i read. Her staff is nice and friendly too. Now because of that, it may be hard to schedule an appointment last min because she has a lot of loyal patients but totally worth it. I think she may have other doctors at her clinic (I haven't met them, so this review is more for her). She doesn't perform surgery, i wish because I may need it. Most important is that she found the real root of my issues that other ENT's in my hometown could not quite figure out. Dr. Schwartz is extremely knowledgeable, has a beautiful personality that truly cares for her patients and will only offer what is best for you... not her her own best interests. She didn't want to prescribe any meds because Dr Schwartz says she likes to try to natural approach first. She even gave me this full size organic product for free. I just wish I could find a General practitioner like her, but in Vegas they aren't any good ones.... Trust me, I've switched 3 GP's since i lived here. I knew this would be a TERRIBLE DECISION from the moment I first called their office to make an appointment. It just so happened Dr. Schwartz answered and was extremely rude on the phone, but I made an appointment anyways. Hint: there's GOOD REASON that almost all other ENT's in the area are fully booked for the next two or three months, but Dr. Schwartz had a few different openings during the next couple of days. 1st visit: Rude staff gives an attitude like "what are you doing here?" and Dr. Schwartz isn't any better. She scowls at everyone, employees and patients alike, and will physically manhandle you during treatment. 2nd visit (today, two weeks after first) ear infection not cleared up. Arrived early for my 12:30 appointment. I'm still waiting at 1:10 pm even though people that came in AFTER me were already seen. Final straw was when someone that came in 45minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment was seen, treated, and released and NOBODY so much as said "hello" to me. I left on my own at 2:30, two hours after my appointment I filed a complaint with my insurance company and if they DARE try to charge me ANYTHING for the visit I didn't have today I'll see them in court and file complaints with the Medical board. So now I guess I have to go through getting another referral and waiting 3 months for a REAL E.N.T to help me. On a more positive note, I actually saw Dr. Schwartz smile at a couple of people today. read more

I received excellent care from this Dr. And staff. DR.Schwartz is the best. I was valued as a patient. This is very hard to find.
