I heard the staff and vet talking outside the room door about whether my cat is really the breed I said she was. The vet made strange comments such as telling me that their hospital is not just for vaccines? When that's literally what they do and what I came for. Vaccines were pricy. I was a little surprised that they took my cat to the back when I'm normally present for something so quick. But other than that it was a seamless transaction

He originally went in for acute back pain but has been back regularly for palliative care for his arthritis and kidney disease. It has made a tremendous difference in his comfort level. The room for acupuncture is very comfortable for both me and my dog, with air purifiers, a white noise machine, and a heat lamp if needed (which my dog loves). Dr. Magner is gentle and kind. She thoroughly explains her treatments and has recommended many ways for me to help my dog be more comfortable in his senior years. I am very grateful to have found South Hillsdale and Dr. Magner.

I did get a recommendation for braces for my dog and a neuter. What? Talk about an upsell job. Go over the hill to San Mateo or Pacifica. This was terrible.

Dr Angel was incredible. She's quiet and soft spoken so your animal will not be jarred, frightened or skeptical of her presence. She's incredibly compassionate and kind. She reassures you that you are doing the right thing for your beloved pet by easing their suffering. The whole process could not have been more peaceful, kind, and loving. First she gives a sedative. . So you have time to say goodbye and cuddle them. Then gives them the meds to send them on their way. I can't recommend her enough. Yes, it costs a lot. It's cheaper to drive to a vet office and do it. But if you want no regrets, a really calm, loving environment and have your pet die in your arms (or next to you on the couch). This is the way to go. She couldn't have been more kind, professional, loving and peaceful.

Strangely, just five minutes later, they came back with a revised estimate of about $1,500. We were told our dog was in heart failure and needed oxygen. Because she was struggling to breathe, we made the heartbreaking decision to let her go. The lack of compassion from the veterinarian was extremely upsetting. Even more appalling, we were charged an additional fee just to be with our dog during her final moments. Emergency care is expensive, but families deserve compassion and dignity during such a devastating time. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this facility.

I've taken her too many places to get her anal glands, excreted,, and this was the first place that they told me that I should sedate her with trazodone and gabapentin before I brought her in. To be honest with you, the Vet tech was quite rude. I was pretty taken a back, considering I've taken her to many other places, and they just put a small muzzle on her and extract her with no problem. Their rebuttal, was that they had a different philosophy and that if I didn't sedate her that doing the extraction could injure her. I laughed because I had a Chihuahua and they muzzled my Chihuahua six months ago. So they are being pretty hypocritical. Basically I'm upset because I had been a loyal client for over 15 years with multiple pets, and since I disagreed with their tactics of sedating my dog before an anal gland excretion... They thought it would be best if I'd go somewhere else. They also said that sofie had deep anxiety and was in a state of fear. Sofie was uncomfortable, but so are most dogs going to the vet. I've never had this problem with this vet team. But, the dynamics have changed and Dr.G would rather drug my dog than put a muzzle on her. Yet.. they felt good putting a muzzle on my 17 year old Chihuahua 6 months ago. Definitely going somewhere else where the veterinarian team are more confident in their skills, professional and know how to communicate. They definitely have a lack of loyalty.
