Unfortunately our dog was bit by another dog. The good news is our dog had no clue or wasn't even bothered by it however we knew right away he was going to need stitches. I called this place first, referred to by our primary vet. The lady on the phone was so helpful and kind. Was very transparent about how wait times work etc especially during shift change time. We checked in here, waited about 20-30 minutes and they did a visual check of him. They agreed he would need stitches but was technically "stable" They put us in a private room with our puppy while we waited to see the doctor. We did have to wait about an hour (which we anticipated and knew) however that felt like a lifetime with a puppy who hates the vet and was bleeding ugh! Doctor Mcinnes was soooo nice and helpful. Oldschol, made the humans feel good too not just the puppy and answered all of our questions. They told us we could leave and pick him up in 3 hours. (We were lucky and got to pick him up in 2!! The whole staff was so friendly and helped us when we were distraught. They sent us home with pain medicine , antibiotics and sedation. We didn't feel rushed, pressured, the prices were pretty fair. We are running low on medicine so I called them up today and they were more than happy to refill the prescription after a nice phone call with the vet talking about symptoms and checking on him and us. We had a great experience and will be back to take his stitches out.

He usually never cried in pain but was crying immediately afterwards. The front desk checked us in and escorted to a room. They shaved his paw and searched around for a stinger but couldn't find anything. They gave him some pain meds and prescribed some to take home. Throughout the process they were nice and asked for permission before proceeding on anything. Prices are reasonable for the consult and drugs. There are many signs at the card terminals stating there is 2.5% feet for using credit. No fee for cash/debit. There's two other emergency vets within steps so not sure how those are.

I've taken her too many places to get her anal glands, excreted,, and this was the first place that they told me that I should sedate her with trazodone and gabapentin before I brought her in. To be honest with you, the Vet tech was quite rude. I was pretty taken a back, considering I've taken her to many other places, and they just put a small muzzle on her and extract her with no problem. Their rebuttal, was that they had a different philosophy and that if I didn't sedate her that doing the extraction could injure her. I laughed because I had a Chihuahua and they muzzled my Chihuahua six months ago. So they are being pretty hypocritical. Basically I'm upset because I had been a loyal client for over 15 years with multiple pets, and since I disagreed with their tactics of sedating my dog before an anal gland excretion... They thought it would be best if I'd go somewhere else. They also said that sofie had deep anxiety and was in a state of fear. Sofie was uncomfortable, but so are most dogs going to the vet. I've never had this problem with this vet team. But, the dynamics have changed and Dr.G would rather drug my dog than put a muzzle on her. Yet.. they felt good putting a muzzle on my 17 year old Chihuahua 6 months ago. Definitely going somewhere else where the veterinarian team are more confident in their skills, professional and know how to communicate. They definitely have a lack of loyalty.

I had to get some x-rays done, when we got the results she also sent a very thoughtful follow up email with different options for next steps, and was apologetic that it had taken her awhile to get back to me (it's been less than 24 hours so to me that's pretty speedy!) I know my dog is in good hands, and I really liked how I saw all the staff interacting with people and their pets in their waiting room, they know fur babies are very precious and important!

Until this last experience when my sister took my dog in while I was out of town. I have a Jindo mix dog who comes from South Korea. I've had her now for 7 years. It's not a very common breed in the states and not a lot of vets have worked with them. Their demeanor in general is to be very calm, loyal and attentive to their owner(person). One of her favorite things to do is listen. She loves listening to birds and other sounds. She doesn't play with toys, she isn't incredibly food motivated, her favorite thing to do is just sit and listen. I noticed that she didn't come to me when called which I thought was odd, but honestly also figured maybe she just didn't want to come‍after I called her a bit louder, she came. Then I went out of town the next day and my sister called me and asked if she was having hearing problems because she didn't go to her when called(which is completely out of her character) so I made an appt for her to see the vet that same weekend so she could take her. At this point I'm concerned. She has never had any health issues and I'm hoping it's just an ear infection. (I've done my research and Jindos are quite prone to them) my sister takes her to the vet appt and about 5 minutes in I get a link on my phone for UC Davis and how to deal with Deaf dogs. So I ask my sister what the hell is going on and she tells me the Dr. seeing them is being completely dismissive and stating that I JUST DIDNT NOTICE MY DOG WAS DEAF???? And it's likely happened over time??? She also acknowledged that it's weird for my dog to experience hearing loss to that extent given her age. Yeah!! It IS weird!! That's why we're here!! Hello?? I asked if any diagnostics were done and she said no. The dr looked in her ears and said they looked normal (they didn't. When I got home she had brown gunk in her ears that is NOT her normal) I asked my sister to see if it could be anything neurological the dr said "oh yeah could be a tumor" and said she would send an email to an MRI specialist. She didn't give my sister the phone number for the MRI specialist, my sister had to get the information from the from reception area where the pamphlets are located. That's it. Nothing else was done. I return from being out of town the next day and call the MRI clinic and am told the Dr. that evaluated my dog didn't say anything other than my dog is deaf and I wanted an MRI(WTF). The MRI doctor said he recommends a Baer test see how deaf she is and refers me to a clinic. This whole time not acknowledging that my dog isn't deaf. SOMEONE PLEASE JUST CHECK HER DAMN EARS. Properly!! Run some tests!! I felt totally looked over. During this time frame my dog starts breathing weirdly and shaking her head a bunch. So I ended up taking her to the emergency vet. After actual diagnostics and a vet that listened to me, the person who is with my dog every day and knows her, we come to find she had bilateral inner ear infections. Since we got the treatment she needed, she's able to hear again and do her favorite thing again. BTW I am a social worker and my sister is a nurse. I can accept my dog losing her hearing when it makes sense. I have these conversations with patients and their loved ones quite often. The lack of compassion here for my dogs overall quality of life- because you wanted to go with the easiest answer, when it didn't make sense, is what makes me rate this as a 1 star clinic.

He originally went in for acute back pain but has been back regularly for palliative care for his arthritis and kidney disease. It has made a tremendous difference in his comfort level. Scheduling is always easy - either online or at the front desk - and all the staff are always friendly. The room for acupuncture is very comfortable for both me and my dog, with air purifiers, a white noise machine, and a heat lamp if needed (which my dog loves). Dr. Magner is gentle and kind. She thoroughly explains her treatments and has recommended many ways for me to help my dog be more comfortable in his senior years. I am very grateful to have found South Hillsdale and Dr. Magner.

We had an appointment with Dr. Capelle and she was very patient with my cat and asked great questions. The vet tech (I'm so sorry I forgot your name but you had fantastic blush on!) was also kind and really seemed like she loved working there! They administered an antibiotic and rabies vaccine for my 15 year old kitty and were quick and as gentle as they could be. My cat isn't the most lovey dovey with strangers, but she liked them (showed it in her own way of course haha). The rate wasn't crazy either ($105 for wellness exam) which is reasonable in this area now. I will continue going here!

Michaela, our vet tech, was actually the one who answered the phone and reassured us that coming in was the right call. She was so friendly, nurturing, and gentle with Bentley, and immediately helped put us at ease. Bentley is usually very nervous at the vet, but he did great with Michaela right away, which says a lot. Dr. Kuang was thorough, kind, and welcoming. She took the time to carefully evaluate Bentley and explain everything to us in a way that felt thoughtful and reassuring. The whole visit felt seamless and easy, which is not something you typically expect from an emergency vet. My husband and I were completely exhausted, and they made us feel just as taken care of as Bentley. The office itself was incredibly clean and aesthetically pleasing, with a comfortable waiting area, cozy chairs, and even a great selection of snacks and drinks, such nice touch that most vets dont have. On top of everything, the pricing was very reasonable. We're so grateful for the care Bentley received and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing emergency veterinary care.

Lenity's sole focus feels like it's to COLLECT YOUR MONEY, not pet wellness…read more We took our seriously injured pup into Lenity Vet Specialists + Emergency Care, which had an eerily cold, unwelcoming décor and staff. We were made to sit, sign papers, and pay a fee before they would even contact their triage team. (It was incredibly tacky each time the receptionist radioed to the staff that "X customer has paid, you can see them now.") We were too distressed at the time and decided to wait for Lenity's diagnosis, which was our pup had broken his leg. Lenity placed a RIDICULOUSLY LARGE one-size-fits-all splint, prescribed some pain meds, and sent us home since they don't have a surgeon on call during weekends. They wanted us to come back 3 days later on Monday morning for a surgery consult. After getting our pup home, though, he was clearly in severe pain, uncomfortable, and refused to drink water or pee. Worried after nearly 20 hours of no urination (for a 4 month puppy, mind you), we brought him back to Lenity the next day. The same ER doctor that treated him the day before came out to the waiting area and was immediately (and incredibly) condescending. She took our injured puppy, placed him onto the ground in a rough manner and dismissed his pain by calling him "emotional and dramatic." She offered 2 suggestions, that we should wait it out, OR, she could re-splint him?? The doctor then left and got the staff to prepare an estimate - they wanted nearly ANOTHER $1,000 TO REDO THEIR WORK. When we pressed her for why option 2 would make a difference, she said the splint might actually be on too tight. Mind you, SHE placed this splint on him. We told her we wanted to think about it...the doctor then told us to wait while the staff got us to sign a waiver that we declined their proposal. We decided to go right next door to Omega Veterinary Group--which was an immediate 180-degree difference. The staff and doctors at Omega were attentive, precise, and genuinely caring. They immediately had a technician bring our pup into a waiting room to get checked out, with the receptionist even telling us we could fill out the paperwork later while we waited. When they took our pup to the back to get evaluated, within 15 minutes, they managed to get our puppy to pee, and we could literally hear the staff cheering for him in the back. Omega also has surgeons on call during the weekend to assess the criticality of injuries. They gave us a proper treatment plan, explained that it was best to let the swelling go down and perform surgery on Monday. In the meantime, they wanted to take the one-size-fits-all splint that Lenity placed on him and create a custom sized splint that wouldn't immobilize his entire leg. They would also board him for the weekend to manage his pain with stronger meds. Over the weekend, they called us multiple times each day to give us an update on our pup, which thankfully he started to eat, pee, and poop normally again once he was in Omega's care. These two emergency vets are literally right next door to each other. Save yourself the stress and heartbreak: SKIP LENITY AND GO TO OMEGA.

She said I should not wait or permanent blindness will set in. My Yorkie was only 6 years old so my husband & I opted for the surgery. It was the best thing I every did. That Yorkie lived until 14 years old and enjoyed his walks, drives to the snow and the beach. He lived a full life and I never regretted for a minute doing that surgery.
