Friendly and reasonably priced! We needed a new vet for our cat and we were recommended to come here. I had to make appointment two months in advance as they are really busy! But the experience was great, it was stress-free for both my cat and me!! Mostly me, Haha! They are super friendly, efficient and reasonably priced!

We are so happy and grateful to follow Dr. Steers here! She has been caring for my aging dog with a heart condition for the last few years. She's got a great bedside manner and always provides realistic goals in managing our aging pets. Her staff was also very helpful and accommodating for an emergency appointment.

She's incredibly smart, compassionate, and genuinely cares about the animals she treats. Even though she's very busy, she always makes herself available and takes the time to listen and make sure I feel comfortable with what's being recommended for our little pup. I really appreciate that she's open to feedback and easy to talk to. I trust her advice and also think she's just a really cool person. The office staff is also great. They're kind, friendly, and usually try to to get back to me quickly. I've only met one of the other vets, Dr. Becker, but she was also fantastic. Highly recommend!

Dr. Bolich is our vet and I texted her immediately after the injury... she was on vacation out of state and gave me a great referral to an emergency vet. At the time, Dr Bolich was at the other site before moving to this location. The emergency vet she referred me to recommended amputation due to the injury and age of my cat (9 years old). Dr. Bolich had also said it was likely we would need to amputate due to the infection my cat got from the injury. He's an outdoor kitty and I knew if we had to amputate him he wouldn't want to live any longer. I begged Dr. Bolich to not remove his leg. She gave us a wild option: we could treat his wound with honey. It was expensive and the wound had to be re-wrapped every 3 days for a few months- but she gave us the options. We chose to take a risk and try therapy suggested knowing it might be in vain. Well, it worked. My cat isn't a nice guy to most humans - he's an ex-feral we adopted as a kitten and he can be a bit spicy, but the team Dr. Bolich has worked wonders. As you can see in his photos attached the honey treatment worked! His ligaments, muscle, skin and fat grew back in a couple months time. It's been eight months since his injury and he now has a full coat of fur covering his old wound! Dr. Jen even made friends with Jax and had him so relaxed in an uncomfortable environment. Thank you, Dr. Bolich, for your excellent and quick thinking and being open to an out-the-box treatment that saved our kitty and his leg. We meow you VCA!

Of all the clinics that I called, Camino Real was the most attentive one. They actually care about your pet. Dr. Ten, Butter's vet, made sure to check up fully on Butter and had all the necessary lab works before the procedure. Dr. Ten explained to me what to expect and kept me informed all the time on the day of the procedure. Though Butter needed to have more teeth extracted than originally planned, Dr. Ten only charged us for her hours, not per tooth. Thus, I'm so grateful to Dr. Ten and Camino Real Pet Clinic for their reasonable charge and superb service! We've been a regular customer of Camino Real Pet Clinic ever since. We live in San Jose but I'm willing to drive Butter here for quality and caring pet services. The clinic is a quaint historical house and has a small parking lot in the back and along its side and one spot in the front. It can accommodate up to 5 cars, I believe. I've never had problem finding parking here. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Ten and the Camino Real Pet Clinic to anyone!

Former Vet owner Doctor Cowing is unfortunately retired. This Practice now like many others are exploiting by charging over the top pricing. Adopting from a Shelter..... My thoughts; Truth is, senior dogs don't get adopted because folks fear vet bills that cost more than car repairs. Why not a "public defender" model from the ASPCA--free or low-cost vet care for adopted seniors? They've got the donations, the vets could chip in hours, and it would save lives. And while we're at it, stop feeding dogs the kibble equivalent of fast food. Senior pets deserve decent chow and medical backup. More adoptions, less shelter crowvding, happier tails.f

We've been taking our little pup to this establishment for 3-4 years or so for routine check ups,…read moredental cleanings, and have been happy with the care. Last month, our 11 year old hopped off the couch, cried out and was walking around lifting her hind leg without putting any weight on it. We took her to Animal Cove for an exam, where the veterinarian initially greeted us warmly. He diagnosed a grade 1-2 subluxated patella which he said was completely normal in this breed, monitor for a month and if still limping then surgery for the patella could be recommended. I did mention she wasn't just limping but pulling her leg up, and I felt rushed out and described to as a normal condition for her breed. An NSAID medication was prescribed for the month. Because of this encounter that sat uncomfortable with me, we took her in for a second opinion at a veterinarian I had taken my past fur baby to. This vet immediately identified that yes there was a subluxated patella, but also a completely torn ligament in her knee which could undergo surgery. We've since completed a referral to a surgeon the same week. Our pup has undergone surgery primarily for her fully torn knee ligament, and since the surgeon was at the site also operated on her subluxated patella, two weeks ago. I could recommend this establishment for routine care, but would advise caution for any urgent or emergent care for any differential diagnoses.

Michaela, our vet tech, was actually the one who answered the phone and reassured us that coming in was the right call. She was so friendly, nurturing, and gentle with Bentley, and immediately helped put us at ease. Bentley is usually very nervous at the vet, but he did great with Michaela right away, which says a lot. Dr. Kuang was thorough, kind, and welcoming. She took the time to carefully evaluate Bentley and explain everything to us in a way that felt thoughtful and reassuring. The whole visit felt seamless and easy, which is not something you typically expect from an emergency vet. My husband and I were completely exhausted, and they made us feel just as taken care of as Bentley. The office itself was incredibly clean and aesthetically pleasing, with a comfortable waiting area, cozy chairs, and even a great selection of snacks and drinks, such nice touch that most vets dont have. We took our dog to another surgeon without mentioning anything Lenity had said. We felt Lenity used fear, guilt, and inflated pricing to push an unnecessary procedure that could have harmed our dog.

But he's recovered so well after every visit from Dr. Treat! That's truly a testament to the care, sensitivity, and expertise of the team here. Cheerio recently went through a checkup, exams, vaccines, and dental cleaning with Dr. Lee, which was quite involved with multiple shots, screenings, and anesthesia. But the team made sure that the procedures were calm, peaceful and allowed me to comfort him through the initial stages. I'm really thankful for that, and Cheerio recovered extremely fast in a day back to himself! Early Thursday morning around 2:30 A.M. I booked an urgent appointment at Dr. Treat in Burlingame…read morefor my 5-year-old Frenchie, who was vomiting repeatedly throughout the night. I made the appointment in pure panic because I was afraid something was seriously wrong. This review is mainly regarding the front desk staff and the customer service aspect, not the medical providers themselves. By morning, after monitoring her, she was eating, sleeping, and playing normally. I called the clinic to ask whether I should still bring her in or if I could cancel. I apologized immediately because I knew I was within the 24-hour cancellation window even though I made the appointment in the middle of the night and there was no way I could notify 24 hours before. The person who answered the phone was extremely condescending from the beginning. Instead of helping me decide what to do medically, I was repeatedly talked over and reminded of their policy. I completely understand policies -- I work in healthcare myself -- but there is a way to communicate them compassionately, especially in veterinary care where people are often scared and unsure. At one point she told me, word for word, to "be more mindful when scheduling appointments." After staying up all night cleaning vomit and watching my dog gag, that comment felt really insensitive and unnecessary. I wasn't rude, didn't raise my voice, and didn't swear -- I was simply asking if I should bring her in because she seemed fine by morning. She then told me she would "waive the fee this one time, but again, be mindful," spoke over me again, and then abruptly hung up. My issue isn't the policy (every clinic has them). The issue is how the staff communicates with pet owners during already stressful situations. Compassion and customer service matter. For contrast, I also called Sage in Redwood City and they simply advised me to monitor and come in if symptoms returned -- no attitude, no lecture, just clear guidance. I've been to Dr. Treat several times and their facility is beautiful, clean and the treats are endless for our babies, and the medical team has always been great. I really hope management addresses how these interactions are handled, because no one in the middle of a pet emergency should feel talked down to or dismissed by the front desk. I emailed the Manager Melissa but I have not gotten a reply
