He is extremely outdated. He is extremely rude and condescending. He ignores written and verbal evidence you repeatedly provide to him if it does not support the false narrative he has in his head from 1952. He will attempt to force you to say things you are not saying. He is belligerent, he will laugh in your face for difficult circumstances. He will fail to do the research or homework on information you provide him. He will withhold vital information from you and then use that against you. He will flip information and evidence you provide him to instead be used against you. He will gaslight you. He will try to manipulate you. He will lie in his findings. In short he will do whatever he has to do to try to force the false narrative he wants to present. Do NOT use this provider.

RUN! Run far away from this place. DR. Bernas should have her license revoked. If I could give a…read morezero I would. They convinced me to give them another chance and I did. Now im the fool . Dr. Michelle Tucker was amazing and she had the intelligence to bail on this place. The office staff over charges, bill is always wrong, they NEVER return calls, you have to chase Dr. Bernas to fill your perscribed by her, prescriptions to the point where your ignored day after day. Another doctor tried to call her because i was completely out and had the audacity to say she doesn't take after hour calls! Well miss high n mighty, you dont even take calls during the day!!! Thanks a lot, now my system is all messed up and I have to find another doctor while not having my meds this office perscribed. You run out of your meds, they push services you dont need, and i was treated like a complete jerk from the office . I even tried to do the decent thing to call the office about my bill with extra chrges and to pay what i owed and still no call l back. But yet they can send texts all day to pay it. They say its a one stop shop. Try a one stop chop shop. Even if one doctor tries to help you the other dr. doesn't respond, completely neglecting their motto of working together as a team to make you whole. What a joke. Its the most confusing, frustrating place in result of being a money making scam ring. Please take my word for it. Ive never been through anything so horrible and disturbing for what is marketed as a professional doctors office.I wish I listened to the other reviews about Dr. Bernas and her ignorance. I liked the fact that it was an all in one. Im sorry i had my husband leave his doctor of years to come here. They prescribe meds, They dont fill them, chace them down to make appointment, overcharge you and ignore your phone calls, and you cant get them to call you back to make an appointment to get a fill! O and dont get me started on that i pad questionnaire that you have to fill out everytime you go which is fine but. Beware..you will get charged for that to and write it as office time. The most unprofessional, lazy egotistical, frustrating, ignorant, self centered, self righteous doctors and staff ive ever come across. They should be shut down or end up on the channel 9 news investigative report segment. Now, lets see what other lie they will snap back at me to cover their sorry that lacks professionalism, integrity and accountability like their other responses, you deserve better and im sorry for you. Please see the other reviews about the staff and Dr Bernas. 100% true! Trust that little voice inside you. Wish I did.

Thats when I said enough and because my insurance paid them I was refunded the $39. Wonder how many people know about the $39 refund? Fastest refund I ever got and all they said was I must not have heard that part of the program. LOL,

Dr Aimee practically laughed in our faces when we came to her for help in a consultation session…read more She wanted me to gang up with her on my partner, while she smiled cheerfully the whole time. She referred us to her cohort, Colin Ryan, and because we felt invested in getting help, we went to a session with him. He interrupted several times, jumping from topic to topic, joking about being on ADHD meds and inappropriate personal details of his romantic life. Nonetheless, we gleaned some insights from him and even more from his ridiculously inadequate handouts, shucked at us without explanation, once we had researched them online. We returned well in advance for a 7 pm appointment at great personal cost (they are far away and 7 pm is not convenient for our schedules), only to find the office locked and dark. No one has offered any explanation and no one answers the phone there when we call. No responses to voicemails, emails, or texts. Nothing! The office has ghosted us. How incredibly unprofessional from beginning to end. Avoid this place at all costs. They are not caring people but psychopaths themselves. Read all the bad reviews! It is likely that many if not most of the good ones were largely posted by coerced employees, relatives, and friends, as happens when people are running a fleecing station. Dr Aimee, the owner, is a PR person first and foremost; she just talks a good talk.

I had a pretty bad experience with therapists as a child through a family member's therapy…read moresessions. I had avoided therapy ever since thinking that it just wasn't my thing, while taking meds through my primary care for anxiety and depression. When I had a major panic attack while with my daughter I knew I needed to do something more for my mental health. I did a couple of in person meetings with therapists I found online (because if there is something I hate more than the idea of talking to someone, it's talking to someone on video/phone), but I finally contacted Amanda, even though their office was strictly telehealth at that time. She did not have a spot in her schedule when I needed it, but after talking to me she suggested I talk to Megan. I hit it off with Megan right away, and felt SO comfortable, even while being on telehealth! (We actually still do telehealth, even though the office is doing in person appointments now!) Megan's sessions don't start with a deep dive into your childhood, and she just organically works through what you need at this moment, while connecting it to your past experiences. Through Megan I realized I had ADHD and I honestly do think therapy has changed my life. I feel like a much better wife, mother and person having gone through this and being able to work through what I need to. To go from being anti-therapy to trying to talk everyone I know into therapy says a lot about finding the right therapist and connecting to them. While Megan may not be the one you connect with, Inner Balance does a great job connecting you with a therapist that will help you in the way you need it. If you are looking for a place to start your search, I recommend Inner Balance Wellness with my whole being!

It's been a great experience both in person and through telehealth. Highly recommend!read more

I started working with a therapist that specialized in trauma therapy. About two months into treatment this therapist decides to leave and seek employment elsewhere. My case was then assigned to a therapist who specialized in cognitive behavioral therapy about a week later I was transferred to a therapist who turned out to be a child specialist. I figured sure go ahead and try out this specialist. I was already going in with a sense of abandonment to add to my existing condition. About half a year with this specialist and the therapist begins to get snarky with me. I hit my breaking point last month when my therapist did not respect my boundary when I asked to switch to a different topic it was met with the response "well we don't have to do therapy today. We can just cancel if you'd like." During our active session. This was the final strike. Not only was I just passed around the office twice but, now I'm being disrespected by possibly the last person I'd ever think would do such a thing. I abruptly canceled any future sessions with this therapist and I am actively going back to better help.

My son (age 5) and I have been going to Essentially You Counseling & Wellness for 6 months now…read more Our goals are centered around behavior therapy and improving social-emotional regulation. Unfortunately, we have been through 4 social workers/counselors in only the last few years: 2 through Early Intervention and 2 in private practice. One thing that I was specifically looking for were strategies and resources to help support me and my child. Emily Reed has been great with providing these! It has been helpful to have her perspective and the resources. Her schedule has also worked with ours. Anyone looking for therapies understands that there are often long wait lists, and evening hours are tough to come by. We were lucky to get in with Emily and to secure an evening spot that worked in our schedule. Emily is a great communicator: she has been super quick to respond via their Spruce app/portal and via email. She has also been great in reaching out to my child's school social worker at my request, and was persistent in doing so when there was an upcoming meeting to discuss the very concerns that we see Emily for. I appreciate her due diligence. They also offer teletherapy services. I have seen Kati a handful of times myself. Because of family and work logistics, the only possibility was teletherapy. Kati worked with me to find a time that worked in my busy schedule. In all, going to Essentially You Counseling has been an overwhelmingly positive experience thus far, and they earn my recommendation!
