This practice used to be wonderful but lately something has changed and we will no longer be using…read morethem as our PCP. Dr. Teri O'Neil gave my husband a prescription that the pharmacy we use was unable to fulfill due to lack of inventory. Which is fine, not the doctors fault. However, it took the doctor multiple days, calls and messages to correct the prescription and prescribe something that our pharmacy could fulfill. My husband attempted to call and leave messages with the front desk to be relayed to the dr with no response. When he was finally able to speak to the dr. She had no idea he had been attempting to reach out. The lack of communication within the office is alarming. I finally had to step in and call the office in an aggressive manner to get them to correct the prescription. Furthermore, Morgan at the front desk has an attitude problem. She's both rude and disrespectful to patients and fellow colleagues in the medical profession. Once the prescription had been corrected there was one more discrepancy that the pharmacist had to clarify with the office and when the pharmacist called Dr. O'Neils office Morgan was very short, rude and seemed annoyed to have to actually do her duties as a front desk employee and help. Needless to say we will not be back.

What can I say? My Dr Syed Gaffar is great. It has taken 2 years to get me sorted out with my blood…read morepressure and this Dr has been with me every step of the way. I just started a new prescription this past Friday 8/12/2011 and I can actually say that this is the first weekend that I finally feel somewhat normal. I would recommend Dr Syed himself personally but I would not recommend his front office staff. The young lady who generally answers the phone, takes your copay and ultimately checks my blood pressure is great. nice and will chit chat with you. The problem that I have experienced repeatedly is this. 1. When I call I have been denied to see the Dr if I have a balance due. while i understand that the Dr needs to get paid. it is for small amounts like $20.00. the office manager has said to me I cannot see you until you pay your amount. I say well can I pay it when I come in? her res ponce is always curt and nasty. " if you want the DR to see you then you have to pay it or go to the emergency room" really? for $20.00 2. I never have my prescriptions at my pharmacy. while i understand completely that this very well is possibly not the fault of the DR office at all. but just about every time I have to call and recall and leave message after message to ask them to send the prescription to my pharmacist so that I have my needed medication. now tell me? if the pharmacy says they don't have the prescription then who shall i call to get it? I can only call the Dr office. I call and call and call leave message after message and no reply. I will finally call only to be told in a very rude manner by the office manager that i have called it in. well if that were the case and they had it?why would I be calling you?My children's Dr office I need only call once and they say " oh let me call them and sort this out for you so that you can have the Medicine that you need. the end result and the reason that I decided to submit my experiences here were this past weekend. my prescription was running out. I called the office and was advised that they called it in on the 8th of Aug, 2011 now mind you this is Blood Pressure medicine and if I don't take it or even miss a dose I feel very dizzy and sick. well, everyday from the 8th - 12th of Aug I checked with the pharmacy to see if they had gotten my prescription??? finally I was on my last and final pill on Friday Aug 12,2011. Now I know the office hours are only from 9am -12pm noon on Friday at Dr Syeds office. So I called early to remind them that I still after the whole week did not have my medication at the pharmacy? no one answered the phone so I left a message at 9:36am. I requested a call back confirming that this was taken care of as I had waited all week for a call back and never got it. once again no call came. by 11:46am in the middle of my busy morning work day I call again and the young lady says " Ms Hyder I told you that this was called in for you on the 8th!!! I say well if that is the case why am I calling you. on the phone to the pharmacist and she says no we do not have it yet???still???? I say can you please call them? they call...now keeping in mind the office will close at 12pm. i still do not have my medication after checking everyday the 8th,9th,10th,11th & her e it was the end of the week and still no medication?? the actual pharmacist calls after having me in tears on the phone from lack of response by my DR office. she gets the Office manager who tells her that it has sent and she will not send it again??? the Pharmacist Aeshia says OK? well what is she to do if she does not have it for the weekend and your office is closed. She finally gives approval via the phone to go ahead and fill it. I call the office to talk to my Dr as I felt this was so unprofessional to leave a patient waiting for days and to the last second. not him personally but his office manager. i was told that I could not talk to him he did not need to take or handle this problem. the same women refused to allow me to talk to the Dr. I will stay with Dr Gaffar as he has worked with me and is patient and after years of trying different medications for my blood pressure I think we have finally found it. I will suffer the rudeness of his office manager only to see him as he is a nice man. Sincerely, Kathleen Hyder

I really liked Tyra Kane as a doctor (although she's always running really late- including to the…read morefirst appointment of the morning), until I had to switch doctors because I moved out of Frederick. When I called to have my prescriptions transferred to a new pharmacy, they only transferred one month of prescriptions, including those prescriptions that had 4 or more months remaining on them, and that I would not be able to get prescribed (because my next appointment for the doctor (ie ob/gyn) would not be covered until 4 months later.) I called asking about the situation, assuming it to be a mistake, but was told by the assistant that it wasn't their problem if I couldn't see the doctor anymore because I moved, and couldn't get a doctor's appointment in my new city until December 12. (called for appt. in late Oct.) Based on my previous experience, I would have expected Dr. Kane and her office to work with me on this (the prescription is for BIRTH CONTROL people, not pain meds), and I am really upset that they would not accommodate me (by giving me the full length of my own prescription)! Actually, now that I think about it, one of the prescriptions I'd asked for (and that I rightly only should have gotten a month's prescription for) I specifically asked for 1 month of a 20 mg dose (my previous prescription) and they called in for 2 weeks of a 10 mg dose. When I called back about that to get my full month's prescription, I was told they would "talk to the doctor," but I never heard back and the pharmacy never received a refill. So basically, make sure if you move, you time it so you have plenty of refills left on your prescription because Dr. Kane's office will not help you out otherwise.

The office staff is very incompetent and rude…read more I asked repeatedly for my records and for my paperwork to be sent to the insurance company for payment only to be given the run around. I needed my records since I was leaving the area for a new jobs. I finally stopped by the practice to get a copy of my records and the receptionist gave me an attitude. She said and I quote "I guess I am going to be having one of those days". All I asked was for a copy of my records. Also, I had to personal file the paperwork so the doctor could be paid. I called and asked was the paperwork submitted only to be told yes. Months later I receive a notice of a delinquent bill. Turns out that the office manager did not send in paperwork although I had insurance to cover the bill. I paid a copay. The paperwork was finally submitted thanks to me and they were paid. Very unprofessional.
