I was told at another dentist that my son would have to be put to sleep for his tooth extraction and that I would not be able to go back with him before he went to sleep. Needless to say I was a little taken back seeing as my kiddo is only 2 and a half years old. I decided to get a 2nd opinion and came here. I was so impressed with the staff and Dr. Davis and her great bedside manner. Dr. Davis was extremely patient and reassuring, explaining that she would be able to extract the tooth using only local anesthesia and that it was not necessary for my son to be put to sleep for such a short and simple procedure. The price was $279 for the visit but they will push you to sign up for their membership. Which is essentially a subscription program to lock in monthly revenue. All this fine it is a business. I don't fault a business for trying to be profitable but we were there specifically for a lip tie procedure for our daughter. We have a dentist that accepts our insurance but Maggie was recommended by our pediatrician because we were told she specializes in lip tie procedures. As soon as her staff realized that we were not going to be monthly reoccurring revenue but one time customers the $279 turned into over $600. It was one excuse after another. This is an emergency exam, plus a preliminary exam, plus the actual lip tie procedure..... Keep in mind the 2 exams that were over $450 took 5 minutes in a chair with no equipment other than Dr. Maggie's hands and a iphone to snap a couple pictures. I paid it out of pocket because I wanted to do what I thought was best for my daughter. We realized how incredibly deceptive this entire experience was the next day when we saw our dentist. He apparently knows Dr. Maggie because they went to dental school together. She flat out asked us where we were currently going and knew that our dentist accepted our insurance and performed lip tie procedures but purposely omitted that information while racking up the bill by 220% from the original price we were told by the front desk. When we told our Dr. how much we paid for the procedure he was furious. He said 30 minute exam plus lip tie procedure should not even come close to the price we paid. In our experience they didn't care about our financial situation or the well being of our family only how much money they could get from us in that one visit.

The dentist Caucasian female in her 60s. Referred me to coastal jaw surgery and said I need a root canal right in front of the root canal tooth that I had done in Broward. Which was completed less than a month ago. She the referring doctor signs as "a.k.a. Dixit DDS" then she proceeds to tell me I have periodontal disease and I need to do a tooth scraping procedure below the gum line. What!? I just spent $25,000 on my teeth in Broward they never mentioned anything. Because I wouldn't do their deep scrap cleaning they wouldn't even clean my real teeth. It was a $300 cleaning which my Dental Insurance would pay half. Leaving me 150 out-of-pocket I don't have periodontal disease. If I did, it would've been brought to my attention in Broward. I have no pain. My gums are pinkish as they should be. Stay away from this place. Although I do find many medical places, I believe are now trained to create a big bill more than really help you with your health. I should've left when Carrie told me she was offended, thinking I accused her of using my social.

After being seated in the chair Dr. Harkins came in and after my looking at the crowns I said you can insert them but I do not see any correction or improvement to the crowns, Dr. Harkins responded to me that he would "return my money and i could go elsewhere for the crowns". I went to the front desk and told it takes about a week as the approval has to go to Corporate, it has been 2 months and Dr. Harkins received the insurance payment for 2 crown preparations, and he has kept $685.00 initial payment. I never received the crowns and the Dr. kept my money after he excused me from the office, No initial impressions were taken prior to the crowns being drilled and prepared, the crowns were dropped on the floor, during the initial attempt at insertion, at the first appointment for the crown insertion, the receptionist removed my temporary crowns and the way she cleaned my teeth for the crowns to be inserted was by wiping them with a 2 X 2, in my past dental experience, for a crown insert, I area was numbed the temporary crown was removed, the area cleaned with pumice and then the crowns were inserted, There was no attempt to property clean the teeth after the temporary crowns were removed, the plan appeared to be insert the new crowns into the prepped teeth not cleaned. I will say however Ivana made comment to me that they had had a lot of problems with the lab. as you can see from the photo the tooth on right is narrower on top, one long narrow, one shorter rounder, different sizes, different colors and the one on the right is angled out turned at about 5 degree angle different than the one on the left. It is a sad day when a dentist tells you they would return your money and you can go elsewhere, to tell you a lie and keep your money remember I told him one had one sentence with him he could insert them but I was not happy.
