We are both retired and I approached the selection of a new doctor with some trepidation. Our first appointment was today and was truly impressed with Dr Chris and his staff. Everyone took their time with us and provided a through examination. It was a long journey towards getting my implants but It was one of the best dental experience I've ever had. His entire staff are warm, welcoming, Knowledgable and friendly people. Dr Solar has maintain an extreme level of professionalism as well as a great bed side manners. His network of referrals consist of some of the most skilled professionals in the dental field. Thanks to Dr Solar I can now eat crunchy food without fear of my gums getting cut up.

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, Dr. Solar was so gentle that I swear I didn't even know he pulled them out. I've also had a dental appliance made to prevent teeth-grinding in my sleep, and all the routine cleanings and x-rays. Scheduling is easy, they are very flexible and always give a reminder courtesy call about upcoming appointments. I moved to Palm Harbor and I still make the drive down to Largo for my dental appointments. That says a lot.

I called and told her my tooth was broken and I was in pain and she said the only way I could be seen was if I wanted to pay cash because the preauthorization had not come back yet and I would have to call the insurance company myself to get it expedited. The insurance company called her and asked her to resubmit the treatment plan in a different order to get the emergency taken care of and she said she would not do it. I had to go to another Great Expressions office that saw me immediately the day I called and called the insurance company and got things taken care of and got me out of pain that day. The dentist who does extractions at this office (Bellair Bluffs) - Dr. Abied - did a terrible job. I have never had a bad experience with a dentist before. He was obviously in a hurry and gave me several injections to numb the area for extractions (4 teeth) in under a minute. I know from experience that when the dentist does each one slowly there is no pain other than the initial pinch. It was very painful and my entire body was shaking when he finished. That has never happened before. I have had extractions before and the dentist always leaves the room for 5-10 minutes to allow the numbing agent to take effect. He did not do this and immediately started working on the extractions when he finished the injections stating "it's already starting to get numb." He told me to raise my left hand if I felt any pain. Several times I raised my left hand and cried out in pain and he never slowed down or even paused. Instead he just said "breathe" and kept going. When he didn't stop I tried to close my mouth and he said "keep it open" and kept working. He had absolutely no regard for the pain I was in and refused to slow down, pause, or manage the pain in any way. I would warn anyone to not use him for any dental work as he obviously does not care about his patients' comfort. I have had a lot of dental work prior to this, including root canals and never experienced pain and disrespect like this. This is unacceptable and all of it was preventable and unnecessary.

The staff seemed friendly. However, Dr. Jacobson Ma refused to give me a regular cleaning and instead pushed for a deep cleaning due to receding gums (which I have had for a few years due to my age, and her other office did not seem to bother last year, nor did the dentist I just visited who did a regular cleaning). Because I was about to lose my dental insurance, I reluctantly agreed to the deep cleaning. While I was in the chair, they presented me with an estimate of the cost of the deep cleaning. They did not inform me that more than half of the items on the list were not necessary, so I ended up paying almost $300 for what could have been $70 out of pocket. I found their practices to be misleading, extortionate, commercial, and far from caring about my well-being. It felt like a money making machine. I will not go there again. Found a great dental office in Clearwater with a caring dentist whose primary purpose is to treat me, not make money through deception.

They cancelled again?! How can this business even be open? (They did send out a $60 coupon in the mail for a cleaning, check up and X-rays). Obviously they are not doing well and need more patients. I had an emergency tooth pain over the wkd one time which has never happened to me before however I had a dental procedure at my usual clinic in another state recently so it might have caused me sensitivity. I was looking for the nearest dental clinic by me here. I called his clinic Monday morning when they open & he was able to see me that afternoon after I was done with work. I was given this tooth desensitizer which I told my usual dental clinic about & now I get it at every dental cleaning at my normal clinic & I haven't had tooth pain ever since! WOW!!! I reached out to Chamberlain dental at 8pm Friday after it happened, and Janice answered. I am not normally an anxious person, however as soon as you say we're going to the dentist, I get a little anxious. While on the phone with Janice, I was anxious, one bc it's Friday night, and well, what do I do, lol. Thankfully I was given instructions on both the care and management of said molar until I could be seen Monday morning by Dr. Chamberlain. (Over the counter, and it WORKED!) I went in Monday morning (slightly nervous, bc it's the dentist!) and I was instantly put to ease by the entire office staff, and Dr. Chamberlain himself. The office is gorgeous, clean and well appointed. After a through oral examination, X-rays, and photos, a treatment plan was formulated for me to have my teeth fixed in the upcoming week. Dr. Chamberlain and his staff are incredibly knowledgable and well versed in dentistry. I have never been put more at ease then I have at this office. I've had extensive dental work done throughout my life as a child, teeth removal due to overcrowding, braces for many years, retainer, night guard, and honestly I have never looked forward to any of it! I advised Dr. Chamberlain of my anxiety relating to dental work being performed, and he was able to offer solutions so I could have the work done. I will say I am actually looking forward to my second upcoming appointment , more relaxed and ready to take on the interventions laid out for my two molars. If you're a nervous nelly (ok big baby!!) like me when it comes to the dentist, Dr. Chamberlain, and his staff are where you need to be.

I had signed up hoping to get a failed crown replaced. I left with a temporary crown and when the permanent crown is delivered , it will be installed, averting a potential dental disaster. An additional cavity was found during preliminary consultation and this was also fixed. Overall a first rate experience. Thanks Dr. B!!!
