an ice cream sundae in a jar
Mohammad A.

This store is a vibe. For $9-$12 you get a large serving of ice cream (and or boba teas) which can easily be shared. They have a plethora of soft serve ice cream flavors ranging from Cookie Monster to Vietnamese Coffee. Also several boba drink flavors. You can choose to either get a float tea which is essentially boba tea paired with soft serve on the top. Or just an ice cream which you can essentially build your own by choosing your soft server flavors and toppings. For the float tea I would highly recommend the brown sugar boba with the earl gray and Vietnamese coffee swirl. For the ice cream you can't really go wrong with Cookie Monster, and stuff it with various cookie and chocolate toppings. The mason jar size is worth since you get to keep the jar, get extra ice cream and also get an aesthetically looking picture. Surreal is the place to be for boba or soft serve lovers!

Love the different types of ice cream and variety but it's very pricy for ice cream! Spent $31 for 3 items. I got the Floatea with Thai tea (I opt no bubbles) and Vietnamese coffee ice cream and the coffee was very strong. So good but too strong at 8:30pm at night that I couldn't sleep until 5:30am.... Great flavors but never again at night time. I opted out the bubbles. Learned my lesson last time that the bubbles get very very hard and it gets hard to eat due to the coldness so I didn't want bubbles this time.

Coffee and Tao vanilla.

Great ice cream! I got vanilla cake and chocolate soft serve. The vanilla is purple! Great ice cream! I got vanilla cake and chocolate soft serve. The vanilla is purple!

I went to the Bryn Mawr location last fall and loved the mason jar ice cream I got, so I was excited when my friend I was visiting said there was a location near her that just opened. It did not disappoint. We both got float-teas, and they were delicious! The concept of bubble tea with ice cream is amazing and the application is perfect. The ice cream here is really good. I can't wait to go back and get more.

The creamry is extremely good. The ice cream sundaes are different and fun. They taste very good, and the mason jars are great as you can re seal and eat it later if you dont want to eat that much ice cream all at once. The people there are great and quite friendly as well.

Great ice cream, so many options. Beautiful presentation, and A+ customer service. I wish there were sturdy chairs out front that didn't fall over when you sat in them. Would rather not bring ice cream in the car on a hot day.

First time coming here and I'm loving it! My son loves the nom nom Cookie Monster. The ice cream is soft serve and oh so creamy! I had the custom flavor with Vietnamese coffee and matcha which was a very good combination to my taste. I can't wait to come back and try something different.

I try not to miss an opportunity to treat my boys to ice cream. I've been to Surreal Creamery once before when I lived in University but didn't get ice cream that time. I opted out of the signature swirl for the mason jar mostly because we were running errands and secondly it was 30° outside. When we entered we were greeted by staff she was very sweet and efficient. This location was very clean and bright. Super glad that we found out about the Dresher location because driving to the city for ice cream is ridiculous.

I stumbled upon this adorable creamery by accident a couple months ago. I've been here a couple times to this location & the one located in Chinatown. The staff is nice & service is quick. They also have good recommendations. I really like that they have different flavors than your average ice cream shop. My go to is usually the Earl gray Everyday in a mason jar. Also, recommend the Nom Nom cookie, and the matcha made in heaven. The desserts here are a little pricey , but well deserving of it. The portions are very large. Especially the ones in the mason jars. Although you can purchase them in a kiddy which in my opinion, is also very large Or a regular size cup or even as a topping in a boba tea! I personally get the mason jars and have a little, then grab lid to save it for later. Easily three portions honestly for me anyways. The desserts are art themselves. Each very aesthetic & photo worthy.

Float-Tea - Thai Milk Bubble Tea & Earl Grey Ice Cream

Swung by here for the insta-worthy ice creams. When we walked in, the shop was simple, clean, and smelled like churning sweet cream. There was only one employee working (it's mid-winter, early February), and she was happy to accommodate our requests and was very careful when making our order. While waiting, I also noticed that they only had chairs outside. Rather than eat in 30 degree weather, we used what we could. My husband and I ate over a small standing table while my little boys used a window ledge to put their food down. We purchased two desserts: 1) Float-Tea: Thai Milk Bubble Tea & Earl Grey Ice Cream This was excellent. There was more than enough to share between me and my husband. The Earl Grey flavor was mild and not too sweet. As we got further down the cup, the ice cream melted and mixed with the Thai Tea, so we got to enjoy a sort of Thai Tea Bubble Tea Slush -- delicious and I definitely think more bubble tea places should add this to their menu! 2) Kids Ice Cream Cup: Strawberry & Chocolate Ice Cream with Oreos, Marshmallows, Reese's Puffs, Rainbow Sprinkles A massive serving! My two boys were able to pick two flavors and four toppings. It was good quality soft serve with fresh toppings. The toppings were cute and thoughtfully placed. Overall, this place is fun. It's pricey at almost $20 for two ice cream orders. But I'd recommend stopping in and trying this place if you're in the mood for cute desserts.

$10.00 for ice cream. You'll never survive. Topping choices are not good either. We left and went to sweet briar for $10 for two

We were so happy to have discovered Boba Works (and not to mention all the other great restaurants in the food court) in Somers Point. It's totally worth the ~40ish minute drive. I love that they have oat milk, as well as many other diet-friendly options. That's really important to me and one of the reasons I come so often. The customer service is great, the workers are always so friendly & helpful from explaining the menu or just giving a compliment & generating conversation. Also, the drinks are perfect, have never had a bad one here & don't think I ever will. I recommend the lavender Earl milk tea, matcha latte, & of course the brown sugar milk tea. Finally, I feel like I have to speak to the desserts, wow! I tried the matcha tiramisu and loved it. Such a great idea. I love the selection of fresh baked goods and am always excited to see what they have. I work in a bakery myself & I am so impressed by the mix of authentic & creativity here. Keep up the great work, I'm so glad I found this spot & will be sure to come back time & time again! Definitely support this local business, the hard work & pride in what they do is evident!

Then there's the Dubai Chocolate Sundae I got today. It was actually the worst dessert I've had in recent memory. I complained about it, too. I told the staff that it didn't resemble the pictures in their store. It didn't appear to have any pistachio cream in it. (If it was in there, there was so little of it that you could not taste it.) And the concoction I got was basically just chocolate ice cream with everything all mixed together as a single shade of brown. I paid $12.95 for this terrible thing. I showed the staff the problem. They looked in my cup. They refused to do anything about it. I asked for more pistachio/kanafi crunch stuff and they replied that their manager wouldn't like that. I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with this, so much so that I wrote corporate. KFT has no business selling this for $12.95. If you pay a premium price for something (drinks are normally $5 to $7 here), you expect it to be decent. I feel like I was severely cheated.
