I called in this branch of Waterstones before my train home from London Euston station nearby, this…read morebranch is on Tottenham Court Road, in a rather central London location, albeit it isn't as big as their flagship store as Piccadilly it is still a pretty decent branch, it's a new store, it feels new and as I recall it only opened in around 2016. They had a pretty decent selection, including multiple cafes (I don't really see the point of having two in a bookshop? surely having one cafe and more space for books would be a better idea or even space for toilets etc?) There wasn't a great deal of staff around the shop floor, I only noticed one person working at the tills which was a shame, and when it did get a little busy it would be hard to ask for assistance or where something is for example. The store did have slightly too many stands in the way, which meant pass through the store was slightly difficult, but this wasn't as bad as other stores. Overall a decent Waterstones store, it feels quite modern and does stand out compared to other branches I've visited, space could be utilised better with perhaps more staff to satisfy demand and offer assistance from locating to recommending a book. 3*

There was a very nice guy behind the counter who explained that it didn't mean the U.K. Sucked. The store is filled with lots of unusual items. I especially liked the color changing umbrella. There's a lot of merchandise to choose from, from clothes to stationary to books to toys. There's also 2 realistic looking statues of Paddington inside the store you can pose with. Since our hotel was literally across the street, we went back twice with 2 different British friends who had never been and also thought it was really cute. The second time around I also went back specifically for a keychain version of Paddington. To this day it's still one of my favorite souvenirs from London.

Green and Stone is a great little art shop that is also a framers…read more I love the old feel to this store, as these guys have been on the go since 1927. They have a fine selection of the best quality oil, acrylic and watercolour paint. They also sell paper, canvas, brushes and easels. They also have a great range of gifts such as globes, pencils, photo frames, perfect for the artist or writer in your family. The only downside is it is a bit pricey.

Great shop full of souvenirs with decent prices. Bought a few things for friends at home, like…read morescarves and tins of shortbread. I thought the prices were comparable with what I've seen at other places and the quality superior. For the history of the place, it used to be the stables for the castle and the horses used to take a dip in the river. Then the menagerie was moved to Regent Park and later it became the zoo. USA DO NOT PURCHASE ON-LINE GIFT CARDS from TopShop!…read more On the US TopShop website, the gift cards are electronically generated in EUROS and TopShop stores (in this case, The Grove TopShop in LA) DOES NOT HONOR THEM because "they are not in US dollars". After receiving a $200 gift card that they would not honor, I called their US Customer service number. The US customer service telephone lines ring and then disconnect - continuously. I called their UK customer service number that had an automated "your call is important to us" that kept me on hold for over 40 minutes before connecting to a person (the international phone call alone cost $210). The UK customer service guy checked it all out, confirmed the card, acknowledged the issue, and said they would reissue it in US dollars and email it within the week. No gift card was received. Instead, an email asking for CONFIRMATION of full name, address and zip code. (Image attached) Responded to them - no response. Emailed them again (after the first $200 phone charge I wasn't going to call again) - put in a "que" per automated response saying they were very busy and warning that it I sent another email it would put me on the end of the line and start the process all over again.(see attached) Endless loop - with no results whatsoever.
