If you find such a scenario unacceptable, then I'd give you the "steer clear" sign. The "café" is a bit of a misnomer, as this is not a place for you to order a latte while you surf the web. It's grim and grimy. That being said, the prices are reasonable ($2.50/hr), and there are 25 computer terminals to park yourself in. The dude at the front counter was pleasant. That could be because he was nice, or because his natural fall-back reaction is to smile and laugh at the unknown. The jury is still out on that one. But the jury is in on the Elf Internet Café. If you don't own a computer and insist on communicating that way in spite of your limitations, then check this place out. Ironically, this place doesn't have a website.

The fella that runs the place has always been very friendly, and has even given me a very good deal on a refurbished computer. It you're looking for something more along the lines of a hipsters spot, where you're can strut in wearing your plaid shirt, skinny jeans, and man bun, and instantly get recognition from your fellow hipster comrade, this place is not for you. However, if you need to get something done that requires some of the equipment he has to offer, and pay a reasonable price, then it's worth it to stop in.

No I would not like to buy an extended warranty. I would just like to purchase this wickedly overpriced generic brand iPhone cable and be on my way. It was until I found out that the dollar store in the same mall carries a lot of the electronic accessories, cables, chargers etc. that I would go to The Source. Granted, the accessories they carry are a higher quality than a dollar store, they're still really high priced for what they are. I'm not even one to only want the cheapest item out there, either. I am often very willing to pay more for a superior product. What I don't dig is the high pressure sales people, trying to get me to buy things that I don't want or need, many of whose questions I outlined at the beginning of this review. While this cliche used car salesman tactic might bump your sales in the short term, it makes me feel really uncomfortable and I don't want to return.

The staff and the manager Jeff were nice and friendly enough to make sure I would buy headphones which I became satisfied for the price I was willing to pay. I went with the $50 sony headpbones. The base and trebble is perfect for my confort. I was quite suprise and amazed how much customer service has improved over the years at this location. I would highly recommend this location.

I purchased a new ssd drive from them because it was bad but still the same. Finally the warranty ran out and they offered me a used one the next model older for $100 more. At that point I was over $500 in and still needed to spend more. I took the poor one home. Maybe that is the problem buying used but the same model was $100 cheaper on buy and sell. If I was going to take a risk I should have paid less to start.

But among those are the 2 Computer Rack stores in Calgary (and the 3rd in Toronto), a friendly association of stores that also knows computer parts and knows them well. While not admittedly having the same scale as Memory, they do have an interesting selection of components and parts that most stores don't seem to carry. More importantly, they also have a better selection on individual parts and miscellaneous connections than pretty much any computer store in the city, at better overall pricing as well. Joel, in the South store, is pretty much a font of knowledge, as he runs the business with his family and staff. His recommendations are treated by a fair number of techs in the city like gold. Overall, I like the store, and it has the personal touch to everything. It's in a new location with an especially interesting toy store next door, which is for another review. PS: He also offers standard computer services like custom builds, virus removal and repairs, all at reasonable pricing. #45 of Yelp's 30-Day review Challenge

The 2 guys at the desk were new and couldn't login to open a work order. I got a call 3 days later informing me my computer was broken. I responded by I knew that before I brought it in. I stopped in to pick it up wanting a diagnostic report. They couldn't tell me anything so I asked for a manager and he said it's probably a mother board that they can't access through Apple anymore. They suggested to buy new through them. I left very disappointed and sourced a internet repair person. He fixed the minor problem. I would never go back to West World and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I booked an appointment on Saturday and I also called the apple support. Without even opening the back of the laptop or seeing if anything was mechanical wrong he tells me it's broken and that he could maybe get my "files" out and that I have to purchase a new laptop. I am still a student and I don't have three thousand dollars to drop on a new laptop so I left. Worst customer service I've ever felt, didn't offer any other solutions, pretty sure they were trying to scam me into purchasing another laptop but I went to another repair store and he fixed my keyboard and Logitech board. I wouldn't recommend going to this location!
