I woke up this morning to floss and my front tooth which is a partial fake completely broke off…read more I'm newly back to Florida- I was previously in San Francisco and hadn't gotten a new dentist since moving back to Florida, so finding someone to get me in was going to be a task. After making a least a dozen calls where the receptionist could use a little coaching around speaking with a smile, Lindsey at Coastal Dental listened to my story ( I work in the beauty industry and can't go a day looking like a jackolantern). She said let me talk to the doctor, came back and asked when I could be there. I jumped in the car! Dr. Latulippe saw me as well as her technician Tracy. My partial was so old I need a crown and she didn't try to up sell me or anything but asked about my discoloration I've had since I was little and recommended considering getting crowns for both if it was in my budget. I've been wanting to do that for a while so I was on the same page as the doctor. My big concern was walking out today with some sort of fix so I could work this week. They asked if I could come back at noon (it was 11) to get my crowns fitted and a temporary in. I was thrilled! The dozen other people I spoke to said it would take a day of two to get in and that they wouldn't be able to fit me something temporary. And why come back at noon? Because Dr. Latulippe and Tracy worked through their lunch to fit me in and make sure I could get a solution today. Seriously?! That's amazing service. Accomodating. Friendly. Not pushy at all. I ended up scheduling myself and my husband to comeback in January for a routine cleaning. Highly recommend. I have temporary crowns fitted. I can confidently go to work until the permanent come in and I'm happy to have found my new permanent dentist.

As of today, my insurance company still hasn't received anything. I have tried multiple times to contact the office, but no one answers. Calls go to a call center, and even they can't reach the office. This lack of communication and follow-through has delayed important dental treatment I urgently need. At this point, I've lost confidence in this office and will likely be taking my dental care elsewhere. I expected better communication and a much higher level of professionalism. I cannot recommend this office based on my experience."

I arrived at this office and waited 10 minutes alone in the lobby with nobody anywhere to be seen. Finally someone came and gave me paperwork to fill out and I was called back. I was told I needed a set of x-rays and a cleaning and then presented with the cost. I told the person my visit should be 100% covered, why am I being charged? She said it was for a cancer screening. I told her I did not want the cancer screening so that charge was removed. This happened again later in the visit with a medicated rinse- I was told there would be a charge of $44 for this rinse. I had to then deny that service. The problem I have is these costs were not presented to me as options. Had I not known better, I'd have paid over $100 for services I did not want. It felt like they were trying to slip services in without my knowledge in order to charge me for them. Incidentally, I ended up being charged $75 for x-rays because it had been less than a year since my last x-rays in another state. This is of course on me, but I will say every other dentist I've ever been to has verified this information before and proceeded in a way that prevented me from having to pay out-of-pocket. I will say the staff was very friendly and my teeth looked great afterward. The office is pretty old and outdated, though.

I've been to this Coast Dental location a handful of times in the last year and most visits have taken about an hour. Sometimes I'll arrive on time and still end up waiting 30-45 minutes to be seen. Other times they were ready for me as soon as I walked in the door. The hygienists that have worked on my teeth have all been quite friendly and knowledgeable. I was much more comfortable with the staff in this office than I was at the coast dental in Lakeland. What impressed me most about this location was when i first went I didn't have dental insurance anymore. When I told them this, they immediately marked the prices way down on a lot of the services. Wow! thanks! I still have to pay $20 for a tube of prescription toothpaste, though. The actual office itself is in better condition than the Lakeland location, too. Seems a bit newer. My biggest complaint would be that they play muzak in the waiting room AND have the volume on on the TV. WTF!? This is a double whammy of terrible shmaltzy easy listening 80s one hit wonders and whatever crap is on the Today Show or The View or whatever. PICK ONE!

I first visited the office around…read moreSeptember 2025, and because of some gum concerns, we agreed that I would schedule cleanings every six months. I had a cleaning in April 2026, which lasted approximately 15-20 minutes. My next cleaning was originally scheduled for July. Because I work, I schedule these appointments carefully around my work hours. When I arrived, the office was having issues with its system and asked me to complete the medical questionnaire again on a tablet. By the time they finally got everything working, I had to leave and return to work without receiving my cleaning. The office later contacted me to reschedule, and I specifically rescheduled the cleaning for August 31 at 8:00 a.m. When I arrived, I noticed that I had received appointment notifications for both 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. When I questioned this at the front desk, I was told one appointment was for my cleaning and the other was for "mandatory" X-rays. This was never explained to me when the appointment was scheduled, nor had I agreed to X-rays every six months. Had I been told in advance that additional services and appointment time were being added, I could have addressed that before arriving. After waiting approximately 20 minutes without being seen, I left, again without receiving the cleaning I had scheduled. At this point, I find the office extremely disorganized. I've now made two separate trips for a routine cleaning and left both times without receiving one. When patients are arranging appointments around their work schedules, their time should be respected. Between the lack of communication, scheduling issues, long waits, and what I consider high costs for the level of service provided, I cannot recommend this office.

I DO take responsibility for not reading the small print on my Patient Responsibility 2 pg print out that he gave me, because it is there ..now that I look back at it. So yes, my fault But being someone in a position of billing, I think he (& others, if they don't) should really consider emphasizing to the patients, that it IS indeed an estimate, and not just glean over that part, instead focusing more on the Patient Responsibility part. I just wish that it was an estimate was emphasized beforehand as much as it was when I went in to inquire about my bill. Of course they don't know how much more we patients have to pay before insurance does their thing, but please tell us, hey, expect more bills in the mail. That way we won't be shocked when it happens. Oh well. Gotta pay. Going back to Greenberg. Thank you

I came in around a year ago and had a great experience. The doctor was very intelligent and…read moreexplained everything very well. He answered any question that I could come up with (that's a lot) with ease. I was so happy to have found a dentist that I really like, for the first time that I can remember... but that's where the horror started. I kept getting notices that I owed them money. There was no reason that I should have. I left them fly, figuring insurance was taking a while to pay. I called a couple of times, believe I was promised calls back and that they'd take care of it, but they never did. So I waited until just before our next appointment (my girlfriend was not on my dental plan - I took her, essentially referring another customer, remembering the initial experience). I called them at least a week before, after calling through to my insurance company and back and forth to get things figured out - you know, the work that THEY should be doing, not me. So I gave them all of the info, and they said it was fine. Also, my dental coverage changed (still same workplace and insurance company, but new plan). I gave them that information and told them to make sure that I'd be covered and that I didn't want the same problem with getting bills for six months. They ensured me everything would be fine. But that was BULLSHIT. Sorry to curse, but it's true. We both went in. I had a cleaning, and my girlfriend had X-rays, concerned about something that she was told she had a few years ago (cavities), but they had magically disappeared. Sounds like Coast Dental is a scam and needs a lashing from me as well (they're next). I believe she also had a cleaning... that's what the bills tell me. I had given them two stars, but thinking about this just gets my blood boiling. No matter how good they are, a business shouldn't do this to a person... So before I knew there was going to be another problem, they scheduled us for January. I came in, knowing there would be a problem and not intending to have my appointment. I saw there sheet, and they apparently didn't have me on the list anyway (I left a VM for them about the situation on Friday when they were closed, maybe they did get it, or just took me off as a payment issue)? Either way, there was no communication about that. So I told them what was up. I told them about my prior experience which they were familiar with (it was the same person who I spoke with on multiple times, and also had left angry voice messages for way in the past with the first incident). I told her that it was their job to check my insurance, and I was assured there would be no problem. If they weren't going to check, they could have told me, and I would have done so. They said that their policy is that they take no insurance, they're on no lists, etc. What BS. If they told me that before, I would have done my homework and made sure it'd be taken care of on the new policy. That morning, I explained that I had a great experience the first time, and that I was willing to come back when my insurance changed, but otherwise, I would never come back. EVER. She seemed like she wanted to fix the issue and took my number and stated she'd talk to the doctor about the bill and guaranteed a call that day. I never got one. And I know she had my correct number because I saw her write it, and also they have it on file. That's not the first time I've been promised a callback and not gotten one. So if you're paying cash (who does), they're probably great. Otherwise, good luck. Do your homework and be prepared to get some bills. I wouldn't be happy, but maybe OK with paying a portion of the bill, but I think that they should really think about customer satisfaction, and things like the fact that I'm going to post a scathing review and take care of it altogether. I talk to people. The person who referred me will hear about this when she has a toothache. Along with anyone else in the vicinity who might go there. I'll try and update if they fix this problem. They really have promise to be a nice business if they get their stuff together. EDIT: Udpdate - they never called me back, but I did receive a bill for $14 and (relatively) happily paid it. Haven't gotten any bills since, and it's been at least a month. I'll give em an extra star. They'd be a solid 3 or 4 if it wasn't for all of this...
