If you are thinking about getting a battery for your car, please read this first…read more I have worked with Chris starting a few years ago when he saved me from a costly unneeded repair that the dealer was trying to push on me to replace my Prius hybrid battery. Over the years I had some lean times and I allowed myself to be conned into getting a cheap rebuilt hybrid battery with a 1 year warranty for 500.00. I should have known it was too good to be true, and it was. During the warranty period the battery failed 7 times. They fixed it every time but the inconvenience and lack of reliability made this cheap repair very costly. After this last out of warranty failure, I took my car to Chris. He sent me photos of the nightmare of that company's past battery repairs on my car, almost all the bolts missing for the hybrid battery, insulation replaced with cardboard that blocked air-flow through the battery causing over heating of the cells, a completely clogged fan, a disconnected exhaust from the hybrid battery. He said my car was a potential fire hazard. If you think he was making this up, he sent pictures as he uncovered one horror after another. As he usually took your battery and replaced bad modules and re balanced and reconditioned the battery as part of his process if you were not buying a new battery, he had to discard mine and used another battery, it was so bad. He has fixed everything and I am so grateful I took my car to him. I am getting better gas mileage and the car seems to be running more smoothly. I do not hesitate in giving him my highest recommendation for his honesty, professionalism and integrity. And also he's a nice guy.

This time I had the second scenario happen to me on the way home. As a NASA & Jet Propulsion Laboratory Engineer i have worked on a wide array of instruments, components, and even entire spacecraft like the Mars Rover, but I am embarrassed to admit I have no idea how to fix my Prius when it has a problem. The great thing is.... Valentine does!!! That's why I only trust Valentine and his crew to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair my vintage 2007 Toyota Prius. It has 200K miles on it and I am hoping to put another 200K on it with Valentine's help. This time it was a bad fuel pump that was damaged after I ran out of gas and tried to start the car several times. Now, let me ask an engineering & design question. Would you integrate the fuel pump inside of the fuel tank so that when (not if) the fuel pump fails, you have to replace the entire gas tank assembly?? After all... this is not rocket science!!! Who designed this??? Valentine was very accommodating and explained the problem and the solution to me before any work started. This makes any customer confident that he brought his vehicle to the right place. I highly recommend these guys to work on your hybrid vehicle.

Thinking of getting rid of it. Then we came across Ace Hybrid Tech. They replaced our old battery to a 60KW one. Now it can go way above 135-150 miles depending on how fast you push it. After driving for a month, I really like it and give it a thumbs up. Hybrid Tech did a great job! Great attitude! Very competent team and staff. Looking forward to drive it for another 10 years!
