Not only did the team do a beautiful job, but they came back a second time without hesitation to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. That kind of commitment to quality is rare. The owner was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process, texting back promptly all day while the crew was working in my home, which gave me such peace of mind. The technicians themselves were wonderful: careful, thorough, and genuinely kind. They even cleaned up after themselves meticulously, which I really appreciated. Fiberglass, one piece bathtub/shower needed a crack repaired and we decided to add a full resurface. Surface Renew seemed like the only place in the area for this so we scheduled it. The repair was made and tub was resurfaced. Couple months went by and crack returned. I called and guy came back out and repaired/repainted again. Same thing, crack came back. We went through this 8-10 times over the next 4 years with at least 3 different repair guys. If it wasn't the crack coming back, the paint was cracking. Now the paint is so thick from re-sprays that it cracks and flakes off. Much of the sides have dry overspray that is gritty and looks dirty even when it's not. I can clean the bottom and a week later it looks filthy. It's like it's just straight dull paint that stains in a weeks time, no clear protective layer. I simply got tired of calling multiple times a year to have them come out and re-do it. One of us would have to take off work or have someone house sit every time. At one point I was told by one of the owners that it needed to be completely stripped and totally re-done. It never happened. Each time they just re-painted it. It's been the worst experience that I've ever had with any issue. I don't recommend anyone use Surface Renew. I wish we had just ripped it out and had a tile shower built. read more

On Monday, Dec 30, 2024 my mom received an invoice from Tobi at Surface Renew for work completed on Jul 6, 2023.  Additionally, an invoice included a letter that stated she had 10 days to pay for the work or legal action would be taken. This seemed odd since her house was a new build and she had never contracted any work on the house. Moreover, the alleged work was performed and completed before she owned the home.   I called Tobi from Surface Renew and she stated that it did not matter that my mom did not own the home at the time of the work. Tobi stated that she had tried contacting the individual from the Kimbel Mechanical company (contracted by Rousch Coleman Homes) but was unable and now it falls on my mom (the new home owner) to pay the bill. Tobi stated that if she did not pay the bill legal action would be taken to put a lean on her home. We obviously thought this was a scam and someone was trying to extort money from my mom. To verify this was not a scam, I called the builder (Rousch Coleman Homes) and it took them about 10 minutes to get answers back to me. They stated that the Kimbel Mechanical Company was performing work for Rousch Coleman to get the house ready for closing and that they would contact Surface Renew to settle the bill for any work that was performed. The individual from the Kimbel Mechanical Company stated that they did not understand why Tobi did not just contact the billing department, especially since they have a good working relationship with Tobi. It's frustrating when a company tries to extort money from someone, especially when all they had to do was take the few extra minutes to contact the billing department from the company that contracted them for their services. Thanks to Rousch Coleman Homes and the Kimbel Mechanical Company for all their help. Now I just need to figure out how to get reimbursed for taking the time out of my day to coordinate payment, which apparently was too difficult for Surface Renew. read more

I was afraid of resurfacing my tub and vanity because I wasn't sure how it would turn out. Our finances would not allow us to replace everything so we decided to go this way. We had a good experience with this company. Ryan was very nice though we never met. We picked our color and texture online and called for a quote. I had the chance a couple weeks ago to meet Bob and Ryan face to face, spend some time with them and visit their show room. My parents have property in Arkansas that could use some updating, and I wanted to see first hand the quality of their work before I referred them. It was very refreshing to meet people who have ethics and value great work from the get go. I was able to see before and afters of the resurfacing options, the colors, textures, etc right in the showroom. They also had some really cool custom jobs they were working on: farmhouse sinks, claw-foot tubs and one really original double pedestal type sink. The work I saw was impeccable and you would never know by the restorations they did, that they were restorations! With the movement to have more true American craftsmen level work being done, and conserving or preserving quality made housing materials, Surface Renew is a GREAT company for home owners, investors and larger hotels, or even apartment owners to know about. They offer a truly cost effective option for updating bathrooms, kitchens, tile walls, floors, etc. The last thing I learned when talking with them is that the owner, Bob, served in the military and both he and his crew are very family focused, down to earth, straight forward kind of people.
