Overall a pretty solid experience. Was a little iffy starting out ordering our food, but after that everything was solid with the service. Smaller restaurant on the inside with a bit more seating on the front deck, so definitely better during the summer. Delicious smash burgers and hot dogs. Loved the fries and onion rings. This was a great find. My golf round was unexpectedly cancelled, and I was looking for a lunch spot close by the Airbnb in which I'm staying. The service was friendly and efficient. I had the Carolina Dawg and a side of onion rings. I am glad that I ordered the small portion. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the takeout bag back to the condo at the plentiful serving of rings. The accompanying sauce was very tasty. Both the rings and the slaw "dawg" were delicious. Finally had an opportunity to stop in for lunch at Surf Dawgs Grill and try their Smashburger's and fries. I tried the Key Largo burger and upgraded to disco fries. The burger was delicious and the fries were a nice comfort food compliment to the burger. Customer service was outstanding and the restaurant was extremely clean. Very good restaurant that's not afraid to play with their food in a good way! Great Service with good recommendations. The food was fantastic. Fries cooked perfectly crispy with good seasonings. Good portions for the price. Good southern sweet tea. I would recommend going for some of the more out there offerings instead of a basic chili cheese dog. I've never been a fan of pickles, but the spicy maple bourbon pickles on the Maui burger didn't taste like pickles and weren't very spicy, and they gave the whole sandwich a crispy texture and sweet aftertaste that was perfect. read more

We had Surfside Smash-burgers I think it was called ....first one on the list. $15 each With fries but I upgraded the fries to bacon and cheddar, and he upgraded his Parmesan garlic and two iced teas Don't get me wrong. The food was very good but $43 for lunch (without alcohol) plus we put five dollar tip in the jar..... for two people is a little high. But again, the food was really good. All of the burgers seem to come with two patties, which is a lot for me. I didn't finish mine. read more

This place has a really great beach vibe and decor. The owner and customer service were top notch. He loved explaining how everything is homemade, dressings, sauces, etc. All food is made fresh. The place was very clean and the food was delicious. One of the best smash burgers I've had. My husband raved about the chili in a bread bowl. The only thing that would keep me from going back constantly or a five star, is the prices. Definitely worth going as a treat. read more

What a sweet spot for dining. The atmosphere is well thought out and fun. The food is all kinds of burgers, chicken sandwiches and hot dogs. A great range of sides, from fries to onion rings to chili. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. Parking is tight as it's next to another business but it's worth finding a place. Dog which was excellent the chili was even a little sweet but you do have your choice of hot sauce available to liven things up a little bit. I enjoyed a an Italian sausage the sausage comes from New York and I must say it was very tasty well worth the price and I highly recommend it. The onion rings were also very tasty as well and they were free refills on iced tea which was nice. The service was fantastic our food was prepared quickly and was hot everything was fresh. The ambiance is quite simple but very nice and extremely clean there are a few tables inside and a few tables outside this place is rather small however it has a nice cozy feeling with a beautiful mural of surfers on the wall and on another wall the entire menu there are plenty of options whether you want a dog or a burger or even a fried chicken sandwich. I highly recommend this place and look forward to going there again very soon. read more

The food is okay, but the atmosphere is severely lacking appeal. There are about six or eight tables squeezed into a very small dining area. There is some outdoor picnic seating which may be nice when it's not in the upper 90's. There is no fountain drinks. You have to buy cans from the cooler, and they are $2.00 per can at the time of this writing. So, if you're someone who likes a lot to drink with your meals, this could be a bit expensive. The staff were friendly and we got our food fairly quickly, but there's just not enough positive about this place at this time to keep me coming back other than maybe a craving for a hotdog. read more

If you've ever had that side of the road "dirty water dog" from a truck in NY and crave it... go! But be prepared! This former NYer that started with a truck here and now has a storefront restaurant as well (yay!! )has taken it to a whole new level of spectacular; the traditional NY Sabrett dogs have that awesome "snap" when you bite them like no other. Not to mention a menu that's beyond your dreams for varieties of toppings. Burgers.. fries..brats.. ices. I plan to work my way through the menu and try them all. Cute place but parking is not so easy getting in and out. I got a hotdog with mustard, chili and onions, small order of onion rings and a water. My bill was $14.96 - I thought a bit pricey. Staff was friendly but wasn't thrilled with my hotdog. The buns they use are thick - meaning lots of bread so that's basically all I tasted - I even pulled some of the bread off but still just blah.
