They do have fast passes for the border. I came here on the recommendation of my friend Penny Silva Cannon. My two front top teeth are cracked in the center, so I assumed I needed veneers to prevent it from getting worse. when the dentist saw my teeth, he refused to as he put it "damage my teeth" by putting on veneers. All I needed is for him to put some sort of bonding stuff on it. Since I wanted my teeth whiter, he gave me some bleach and created molds of my teeth so I could bleach them. he told me to do it once a day for 30 minutes for at least a week, but not more than 2 weeks. I did just a week. I wanted them to look natural. When I get back down, I'll get the bonding done. The staff is bilingual and very knowledgeable. As I said to Penny, he is now my new regular dentist and when my husband comes down next time, he will be getting his teeth cleaned, etc there. His prices are cheaper than my copayments at home. read more

Hands down Dr Marco Gutierrez and his staff are the best for quality, professional and well priced dental care! It's a convenient location with lots of parking, modern office and equipment, plus a fluent bilingual staff. I went to him first for a chipped crown and a cleaning and was very impressed by the care I received. I have been going there several years now and it's always the same. Never one bit of pressure for unnecessary procedures like many others in the US. The price was so good, I opt to go four times/year as opposed to my usual two. I was even able to get my husband to go, and that was an accomplishment, as he really does not like dentists or doctors. Dr Gutierrez won him over instantly, as well. He needed more extensive dental work than I did, due to his past reluctance to get routine dental work. Over the past few years he's had a few teeth pulled, a bridge and finally four implants done at Surf City Dentistry. The work has been incredible and he now actually looks forward to going! If you know prices for these procedures in the US, you're aware how cost prohibitive they can be. Not with Surf City and Dr Gutierrez. He's given my husband the once great smile he used to have and didn't break the bank doing so! They have recently expanded their office space and although they're usually busy, it's not too difficult to schedule an appointment and it's doubtful you'll ever be delayed. PS Surf City Caffe next door has great food and drink, as well! Comfy atmosphere if you just want to chill with a great cup of coffee or enjoy one of their delicious omelets or other offerings! The service here is great and this doctor is truly wonderful, After 6 root canals and a temp flipper he worked so incredible with me when it came to pricing and service I highly appreciate this. When visiting, the office staff was so lovely and welcoming, not surprised considering the doctor, he was the exact same. He completed 6 root canals in 3 visits! I was quoted $1100 for one root canal in the Us - I got ALL MY WORK DONE FOR THE. EXACT SAME PRICE! He worked diligently on my problem areas and I could not be any more grateful I highly suggest this office and doctor! I have been getting my teeth cleaned in California every 6 months since I could remember. Today was the first time I went to see Dr. Marco and he not only cleaned my teeth faster than the other dentists I've been too, but he was WAY more gentle, very kind and he made me feel very welcomed because he shows that he only wants the best for his patients. I also feel as if this is the best teeth cleaning I've gotten because he was so thorough. I came here with my parents, all three of us had a teeth cleaning and I was also fitted for a mouth guard and we were finished in about 1 hour 30 min (give or take).
