He reassured me that he would call me if they received a lower offer than the asking price, which was documented on the intake paper. I received a call an hour later, asking if I would take $100+ off. Ummm...nope. About a month after I dropped it off, I received a call from Chloe (a super sweet employee) saying that my gun sold! Awesome! I asked her to mail it to me, as I live out of state. She was happy to do so and let me know that it would go out in the next day's mail. Fast forward to a week later and I received the check. I looked at the amount and immediately knew it wasn't right. They sold my gun for $400 - not $450 (listed price). I never received a call to ask about the offer and was very upset that they sold it for a lower price (especially due to it being my recently deceased husband). I emailed them to ask them why they took an offer that I didn't authorize, but the employee (or owner) was defensive and said that the paperwork stated I would take a $400 offer. NOPE. I have the paperwork to prove it. They continued to argue with me over several emails, about their theft and never admitted they were wrong. They are incredibly unprofessional and I would never recommend anyone go here for consignment sales unless you want to support a lying business that will steal your money!

I recently took the Intro to Pistol class at Bristlecone Shooting, Training & Retail Center, and I…read morehad a really great experience. Luis was the instructor for the class, and he was excellent. He's extremely knowledgeable and clearly has a lot of real-world experience beyond just working at a range. He explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, answered questions thoroughly, and made sure everyone felt supported throughout the class. I was initially a little hesitant about taking a co-ed class since I had no prior firearms experience, but Luis immediately set a very welcoming, relaxed tone. He was calm, approachable, and easygoing, which made a big difference. I never felt intimidated or out of place, and he was very patient working with me as a complete beginner. By the end of the class, I felt comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited to keep practicing and come back to the range. Beyond the instructor, the facility itself is great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the environment felt respectful, and even the other patrons were welcoming. I also really appreciate that Bristlecone offers a wide variety of courses for different skill levels, along with discounts when you take classes, and special offerings like free Tuesdays for women. Overall, this was a really positive introduction to shooting, and I'd absolutely take another class here especially with Luis. Highly recommend for anyone new and looking for a supportive, professional place to learn.

Wow. That's about…read morethe sum of it. Wow. Ever shoot at something too small to see with your naked eye from over a quarter a mile away? Wow. The sound takes so long coming back to you that your brain won't let you understand that you really did hit the target. It's a very very weird experience if, like me, your normal experience is in shooting at targets only a couple of hundred yards away. Chris Gesualdo, the owner of Fixed Sight Training has a 500 yard shooting range set up on some ranch property he rents way the heck out in Centennial . . . kinda like in the Nebraska part of Centennial:). (Actually, only about a 45 minute drive from LoDo). Chris is a great guy and a very experienced shooting instructor. I'm so glad I paid for a private tutorial on long range shooting and it came with a whole bunch of extremely helpful technical shooting instruction. By the end of about two hours I was regularly hitting pie-plate-sized metal targets from over a 1/4 mile away in a 5 mph cross wind using off-the-shelf ammo (Remington Accutips, 165 gr) in my 30-06 Remington 700 CDL using a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x 50 mm scope. Tomorrow's the first day of rifle elk season and while I don't plan on taking a shot over 300 or so yards, if the occasion arose and I was presented with the right opportunity, given Chris's instruction and the knowledge acquired from his expertise, I wouldn't automatically reject the shot. My consideration, as always, would be "am I confident that I could kill that animal with just one round?" But now, given my experience with Chris, I've just expanded exponentially my self-confidence, as well as my humility in understanding the incredible power and responsibility that comes with that kind of training. It's really a pretty amazing experience, and if you want to increase your shooting skills I'd highly recommend that you go out and pay Chris a visit.

He was flexible with his schedule and the weather, was upfront about pricing and any limitations on the day, and was very knowledgeable in a group with varying experience. It's about 45 to 1 hour out from downtown Denver, but well worth the travel. The range is nothing, fancy, but it's got the distance and does the job with fun targets. It was very cold that day and Chris graciously opened up his RV to warm up in between rounds. He gave us great instruction, but also let us shoot as we saw fit within the ground rules. We had the opportunity to shoot a handful of different guns at a handful of targets. Overall a great place for shooting and being coached up, would definitely recommend, especially if you want to take a group out shooting.

I am one of Jason's Students, I took his NRA Basic Pistol and CCW classes 5 years ago and to this…read moreday, he continues to train me with my firearms. I tend to be really good with my AR-15, but not so great with my G19. ( I personally am better with rifles) Jason has been very professional and patient with me through the years with our one on one at the range with my pistol training . when I started 5 years ago, I barely made the target, now I am in the body range and would have no problems , if I needed to defend myself. When I took his NRA Basic Pistol and CCW class, I felt comfortable in his class ( I am a female ) and all the information he provided me with. He is very thorough and makes sure you UNDERSTAND the LAWS and the FUNCTIONS OF YOUR FIREARM.. I took the same class three years prior with a gun club in Colorado Springs, spent four hours in that class, I was left confused and not sure if I wanted to carry a weapon. With Jason's 3 day, 10 hours a day class, I had the confidence I wanted and needed to carry my gun safely and I knew the Colorado Laws a lot better than before. I recommend all my friends to Jason for Firearms training, I recommend everyone to take his courses, I promise you, you wont be upset. Carrying a firearm in this day in age, is good. but you really need to be educated properly. If you're someone that was raised with Guns and your dad/grandpa /uncle or whomever taught you about Guns, great, but chances are they taught you some wrong information. Maybe you weren't raised with Guns and you want to learn more, awesome!! Jason will help you understand Guns in a way that is very comforting and he will even help you figure out what Gun would be best for you , he even goes to the gun shops with you. not many Instructors will do that . You really need to take a good course, anything less than 8 hours is a joke and if you pay anything less than $300 your setting yourself up for failure. In this case, you want to spend big, to get the best training ever, Firearms aren't something to take lightly and you shouldn't take the law lightly either. You can know all the ends and out of your weapon, but if you use it in self defense and don't know the law properly, you could get in deep doo doo. So, don't be an idiot with a firearm, instead be smart and take Jason's classes, get educated and keep going back for more training, you can NEVER HAVE ENOUGH TRAINING in my opinion . Jason, has lots of training skills and he has even been an instructor out at Front Sight in NV, which if you don't know what that is, its a very large Firearms training school for all sorts of shooters. Movie stars, Military, LE, and normal people like you and me.

His 3-day course is packed full of information that honestly changed my life and way of thinking. The first day is Colorado's required course in order to apply for a Concealed Carry Permit in Colorado; NRA Basic Pistol, which covers the mechanics of a handgun. As you will find with this required course, it doesn't even address anything about concealed carry. Because of this shortfall in Colorado's requirements, Mac developed his successive 2 additional days of his course for concealed carry; the laws specifically for Colorado, the mindset, tactical application/instruction, handgun options for concealed carry, types of holsters or carry options, accessories, drawing (presentation from the holster) and so much more.
