When initially fitted, they used the results of a 5 month old hearing test. The new ones didn't sound right, so I made a second appointment and insisted on a new hearing test and reprogram, which they did. Still wasn't satisfied since my old set still worked better. Made a 3rd appointment and was told one of the hearing aides was missing data for several frequencies. Even after 3 efforts, I still didn't think they were right. Gave up and paid a different audiologist to perform a hearing test, erase the previous programing completely and reprogram them. It was his opinion that they were programmed by amateurs. Not only did the reprogram result in the new hearing aides working better than the old, I was told one of the domes was the wrong type, and that a separate program could be added to reduce background noise to enhance speech--a major problem for me. This program was added as a 5th program. Main Line only programmed 4 channels, one of which was totally useless. My visits were with 3 separate audiologists, 2 of whom had another person stop in to help. The audiologist I worked with in the past no longer worked there. I was a patient for at least 8 years and purchased my last set from them. Until last year the service was satisfactory. Something clearly changed. It troubles me to have to write such a negative review, but I don't want anyone to go through what I did. Roy T.

I took a relative to see them who is some handicapped. She has trouble understanding things that are said to her. I was told when I lost hearing from a virus at 36 that nothing could be done. I was also o told cross hearing aids back then didn't work. They looked funny too. The only drawback is crosses only last 12 hrs a day. So if you are able you can sit them in charger for an hour or up to 3 for a full charge. The service is great. So happy I tried. She only stopped the hard sell because she could tell I was getting angry. I had dealt with Dr. Goyne a few years earlier when I purchased my 2nd pair of hearing aids, and he was okay. The office staff is fine. The Audiologists who do the actual hearing tests are just out of school, and they do their best. No seasoned Audiologists at this practice!
