This place really deserves more credit - the Korean food options that they serve are, frankly in my amateur opinion, quite good. I normally come here for lunch especially when the craving for Asian food can't be met by the 'oh-so-boring' Temakeria and everytime I have liked what they serve. For lunch at R$ 38-40 they have some options of bibimbap & sundubu and the portions are quite well served -the spice level is on the higher side so I recommend that you go prepared to get some good Korean flavours. Most of the customers are Koreans or Japanese from neighbouring Paulista based companies - also another sign that the food is authentic. A place I visit frequently and has never let me down !

Mirim is basically a restaurant to go during weekdays for lunch and focus on the Korean expat population in the neighborhood. From bibimbap (rice with meat and vegetables in a hot bowl to mix with a raw egg and chili paste) to sundubu (spicy soup with tofu and seafood), you can try the basics of Korean food. The lunch menu dishes include the main dish and 3 options of banchan (kimchi is always a must) and for attracting more customers, they have a loyalty program. For every 10 meals, you get 1 for free. I have my favorite dish which is the sundubu. I already tired bibimbap which was good, but a dish I would not recommend is any noodle based dish. Even though the broth was spicy, the noodles tastes like instant noodles you can get at any grocery shop in Bom Retiro.

The bibimbap is quite good, as well as the barbecue, and they were both served with traditional sidings, all very tasteful. Watermelons finish your meal, with the check being relatively concise - only the numbers, so keep track of your orders. The price is fair (even a little cheap) for what is served. Will return to try the rest of the menu.

After their investigation through Internet and a kind of survey with other Koreans living in the country, they finally concluded that this was the best Korean restaurant in São Paulo and so far, I agree with them. In the heart of the traditional Korean town of Bom Retiro, as other restaurants of similar cuisine, one issue that needs to be adapted to local customs is their working hours: specially at night, they close quite early for Brazilian standard. Apart from that, the dishes are very well executed. If you are a beginner on Korean cuisine, better try "Seok Joung Combinado" which can be individual or for sharing by two. It comes with a little bit of each traditional dish, including soup, rice, Korean style sashimi and others that may vary daily. And the price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity. If you know a little more about Korean food, then try the other dishes in the menu with no fear. A Korean to be called authentic.

From the cocktails to the desserts, everything we tasted was just amazing. Service is attentive and super helpful. From a small menu,Traditional Korean dishes are prepared with little twists that give crunchiness and enhance the flavors. Portions are satisfying and beautifully presented. It was an incredible experience. there wasn't a bad dish at all. the star for me was the sesame dessert, the pork belly, and the kalbi. I am floored by their ability to hold to traditional Korean dish elements, like the banchan, and the essence and flavours, but still being such a refreshing and unique approach to the dishes. the pork belly almost knocked me out of my chair. the intensity of the flavour, coupled with the tenderness was just magical. I appreciated the kimchi rice and egg because the egg added such a soft and delicate balance to the meal without being over powering or tasting like egg. such a big fan of the desserts, both were so different. we got the sesame and the merengue. it was a beautiful balance of flavours. I would say the sesame took the cake [pun intended], because the flavours were so perfectly balanced. not too sweet, not too savory, just a nice expression of the sesame through intentional flavours. their drinks were also quite delightful. the "only and" was my favourite. this spot is listed on many "must" lists in São Paulo, and of course just very pleased to be visiting these incredibly awarded Michelin star restaurants while here. one a day for five days straight, so I'll keep sharing as we visit more.
