I had a few too many drinks at Reservoir and locked myself out. I eventually rang the neighbors enough times for one to buzz me through the front door of the building (this was after I attempted to climb the alley gate). It was either sleep on the steps or bust down the door, so I did what I had to do. Next morning I woke up with a killer headache and a big problem to fix. The door frame was demolished and my cousin was heading back from Europe. I called several handymen but no one was up to the task. Lou came through in the clutch. Repaired the busted door frame, smoothed everything out, and perfectly matched the paint. My cousin would have never known, but I came clean. This is a true story - Lou will attest! 10/10 recommend and still think about his clutch work years later. Thanks Lou!!!

We will definitely use your services again! I highly recommend him to anyone who needs handyman services.

They are just 2 guys that I found on craigslist but they do a great job. They have a minimum fee of $125, so if you need a bunch of little things done, its a great deal. The only reason I'm giving them a 4 is they left a bit of a mess after they did my invisible wiring in my wall from the drilling, but for such a great price, i can't complain. So nice and they will work in the evenings as well--had them come on a Friday night to mount my TV and have some paintings hung into my brick walls and they did an incredible job. Then they came back the next morning to do more!

Suffice to say it was an assorted list, and they tackled it with ease and at a great price. The missing star from the "Five Star Review": There was a third person with them (not of the J & A duo) and he tended to talk a lot, slowed the process down and seemed a bit absent minded. However, that said, this nameless third person did a great job as well.

I had a great experience with Andrew from start to finish. After going through Yelp to get a quote…read morefor installing a tile back-splash in my kitchen, he was very responsive in setting up an appointment for a walk-through and an estimate. His estimate was reasonable for the amount of work to be done and very competitive with estimates I had already received from five other contractors. Andrew and his assistant Matt took about two days to transform my kitchen into something really sharp. Andrew was very thorough and even took care of some odds and ends that were left by the builder (and previous contractor who installed the counter top). Also, Andrew was very neat - he covered the counter top to avoid any damage or stains and swept the floor after both days of working. After they left, you would never know that two people were sawing tiles and working with grout and tile adhesive all day. I wouldn't hesitate to book Andrew for any other jobs I need done around the apartment. It was a five-star experience from start to finish and I'm glad I found the Handy Andy Squad.
