WARNING! DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS!!!…read more I made the mistake of hiring Maikol Herrero and Gilbert Vanegas of Biscayne Luxury Glass for impact window and door installation on new construction. The job dragged on for 9 weeks when it should have taken 2-3. Their team failed to pick up all the materials from the warehouse on multiple attempts, leaving an entire crate behind that I had to pay out of pocket to retrieve. They gave incorrect technical direction that led to unnecessary concrete modifications at my expense. Mid-project, Maikol tried to raise the price despite nothing in the scope changing. A licensed replacement installer evaluated the work and found that approximately 90% of what was done needed to be removed and redone. Windows were not plumb, level, or square. Bucking was improper. Waterproofing was inconsistent. Fastening was incorrect. Maikol acknowledged on a recorded walkthrough that the work was unfinished and that items needed to be completely removed. After that, they agreed in writing to pay back a portion of the money. The deadline came and went with zero payment and zero communication. They have been completely MIA ever since. I am now pursuing legal action to recover my money. Consider this a warning. These guys are extremely unprofessional, do not honor their commitments, and will disappear on you the moment they are held accountable. Avoid at all costs.

The experience was a complete disaster. They arrived with damaged products, one side window an inch smaller than the other, and used no drop cloths -- leaving caulking and stucco all over our travertine. They came out seven times for what should have been a two-day job, bringing the wrong door twice and causing new damage each visit. Every door has scratches, gaps remain, and the back French door still doesn't lock. The installation failed inspection. Ad and his employees clearly lacked the skill and experience to install these doors and windows. Each "repair" only caused more damage, and they are no longer permitted on our property. We spent $16,991, not including the extra supplies we had to purchase because their crew was unprepared and lacked the proper tools or materials to complete the job correctly. Buyer beware -- do not use Biscayne Luxury Glass.
