Lynette School Of Dance

Lynette's School of Dance is a wonderful studio to learn ballet and other types of dance. The studio is very inviting and decorated to make the young girls feel at ease when they start to learn to dance. Pricing is on par with other studios in the area. Miss Lorena is an excellent instructor. She is kind and really helps the kids to focus on dancing. Our daughter has really enjoyed learning basic ballet here and she has made some good friends there in the process. They have classes from 3 year olds all the way up to high school, so kids can work their way through the program and stick with the same group of friends. They put on 2 recitals per year and the girls get fancy outfits to wear. It is awesome to see all of their work pay off and perform in front of a large audience of family and friends. I highly recommend Lynette's to help your child learn dance.

I would consider this an average dance studio. My daughter has taken classes here for the past…read moreyear and while she enjoys the class and teacher, I had hoped for more from a dance studio. The preschool classes do not have a limit on the number of kids enrolled which makes the small classroom feel tiny by the spring time (for example, my 4 year old's class started with 10 girls in the fall and ended with 23 girls in the spring, with only 1 teacher and 2 school-age helpers). Miss Lorena is great with the children and is the reason I kept my daughter at the school for the entire year. I will now be looking for a new studio that limits the size of their classes so that my child can actually learn some things about dance.

This dance studio is a hidden gem. The best part is that it's nonprofit, which means the cost per…read moreclass are less than HALF the cost of other nearby studios. The teachers are skilled, caring, and very good with kids (my 4-year-old goes here). If you're looking for budget-friendly high quality dance instruction, this is the spot for you. They are a little particular with how they do things - just go with it, and you will have a great experience.

I grew up in this ballet school while I was in my early elementary years and all the way up until…read morethe 7th grade. Back then, I loved the school and it really made dancing my life! I took ballet, jazz, point, and a few other classes. Now I've got a 3 year old daughter and had her enrolled for her first class this past year. She really enjoyed her ballet class. She also enjoyed her teacher. When it came time for the recital, I thought my daughter was going to be shy on stage, but she held her head up high with so much confidence. She actually embraced the stage and performed/remembered her steps well. The only improvement I would suggest for this school (through a parent's perspective) is to allow credit/debit payments and also automatic payments or even reminders. I've been paying by check and many times I had no idea the payments were due. On the bright side, the classes are much cheaper than other schools.... which I definitely appreciate since my daughter is only 3 and doesn't need to be at a super duper fancy fufu school. lol. Le Ballet Petit is a really good learning environment and I highly recommend it. Btw... there's a park right across the street. So if you have a little one and you're waiting for your dancer to get out of class, that's the perfect hangout.
