Even though the building has been around for a while, it's kept in great shape. The ambience is clean, welcoming, and family-friendly, and it really feels like a space for the whole community. The staff has always been amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, which makes every experience that much better. One of the biggest pluses is the value. They offer so many activities at a really reasonable price, and this is definitely the place to find more discounted programs compared to elsewhere. From fitness classes and pools to kids' programs, you get so much for what you pay. Overall, the Henderson Multigenerational Center is a gem--nostalgic for me personally, but also such a reliable, affordable, and enjoyable place to bring my daughter. There are a lot of amenities; baseball field, basketball court, tennis court and of course the playground. There's lots to do on the jungle gym. It's challenging enough and there are multiple slides so kids aren't waiting. What I don't love is how close the playground is to all the traffic on Pecos. Yes there is a fence, but it's still pretty close. There's lots of traffic noise and I would hate for an accident to happen and for kids to have to witness it. There were lots of kids the day we visited. It was around 3-ish and there is an elementary school nearby, so lots of little friends for my own kids to play with. All in all, I'd prefer to just drive a little further to go to a different park.

It was weird, because I now have a history of vertigo and I experienced this acute case while making a forced stop here in Green Valley Park. It was in the middle of the day around 10:30am when I approached the park after crossing the street. I managed to find a park bench where I basically try to ride it out. It was one of those things were community Parks are a great blessing, as well as a necessary need for those who are like me who need that place of refuge. From what I saw, the park itself was very beautiful, and had the necessary amenities and thankfully, there was restroom facilities that was open for public use. with that said, I basically use an empty park bench, while random individuals were playing basketball on the basketball court near the bench I was trying to recuperate at. Thankfully everything was decent but not really. It was nice to have this downtime while vacationing in Las Vegas / Henderson, Nevada, but it probably would have been better than elsewhere rather than lying down at a park bench here at green valley community park. It is what it is, and that was my experience here. Even though I observed the park and experienced the park in its basic form, my plans here were needed to be adjusted. Unfortunately, for me, these plans were derailed because of my ongoing battle with Vertigo. Green Valley community park itself was maintained beautifully by the local city parks department, I'm guessing. For the most part, though, I don't regret coming here, but it is a great comfort knowing that it is here for everybody and anybody that is local area or just passing by. After regaining some form of sanity during after my vertigo relapse, I attempted to call an Uber to get me to the hotel so I can check in and hopefully sleep it off and return back to normal. And that basically what happened I returned back to normal the next day after a very good nights rest. The overall experience here at Green Valley community Park was good. I am just thankful that I happen to be upon this park with my attack of vertigo happened and lucky that there was no way there so I can have my privacy. Even though help was probably good also, but privacy is good also along with time to have it pass . I enjoyed the park bench pretty much because I could stretch out the entire length of my body onto the bench without having to shorten my legs to fit on it. There are some water fountains next to the restroom facility, but I did not use that at the time I just wanted the spinning to stop and can progress With my rest of the day. But that didn't happen at least during my time here at the park. Park itself is kind of small sense, but it is really nice to have a part that serves this part of the Henderson community. Not to say, I enjoyed myself here, but, I wanted my vertigo to stop, so that was my number one priority at the time. I never knew having that having good site was. Sucks to have it taken away all your life you're expected to have good everything until it's gone. yeah, it is what it is especially when you know life is not always too many people. I enjoy the fact that the park itself was private, and that it is in a modest residential area. Because it was during the day while I was here, on a Thursday, it was peaceful, and I could just have my privacy to deal with my number one concern of the day. With all that said, best bed is to come here when there is plenty of people so you can enjoy the social aspect of having a committee park here. Many things to do in this park, including walking the perimeter or playing basketball at the central basketball court Along the main road. It sucks for me to experience the park this way, but I'm come to be grateful for Parks in general not just here in Las Vegas/Henderson, but generally speaking. Green Valley Park is located on 370 N Pecos Road in Henderson, NV. Like our mini parks, they are admission free. No money necessary to come here. Unless, of course, you are wanting to find a day on approve equipment or something. I arrived here by bus. And left in an Uber. The bus route I use was route 111 which was pretty cheap considering I use The $5 for 24 hours transit pass for visitors. For parking purposes, best bet would be available street parking since I'm not sure if there is actual private parking for a community park. For what it's worth, my experience here is a reminder that for anything these days. Whether you're local here or there Here or just passing through, come on by. This might be the gem you're looking for. I know I wasn't looking, but it was a gem for me during my struggle with vertigo. Vasoconstriction causes headaches and so far, working out has worked wonders for me. I used the facility for the first time as a guest years ago and was asked to get an ID card just for SRWC since I wasn't a Rebel yet. There was a skin disease outbreak that happened that year so, I stopped going. They got that issue straightened out. Now that I am a Rebel, I get to come here for free, yay! I like the layout of equipments and how seated machines/equipments are red - my favorite color! The little details matter to me. My favorite is the running track since I love running and we don't have one at my regular gym. Please run in the right direction. It's clean, modern and doesn't seem cramped. Cardio machines, ab machines, free weights, basketball courts, pool...whatever exercise equipment needs you have, they got it. Please wear appropriate pants/underwear before using the leg abductor machine.

Pardon my use of superlatives, but this might very well be the BEST gym in this…read morecity... and yet very few people know that non-students are still able to purchase a contract-free gym membership here for only $25/month. (I guess you can call it a hidden gem.) The SRWC and I go way back -- back before its birthday in 2007 and back when my waistline was teeny-tiny. Doing both my undergrad and grad years at UNLV, you can bet I've taken full advantage of the student facilities fee tacked onto my tuition. Currently, all students taking a summer class automatically have a membership for all three summer sessions. For the regular semester, 3.5 credits will grant you access to the gym. And man, what a gym! Even through the years, it has remained pristine and increasingly equipped with state of the art machines. The custodians are always cleaning, the staff for the most part is friendly, and if you avoid peak hours, you'll be in and out in no time. Be sure to check out the Rebel X group fitness classes, too! They're free. The gym features 4 floors: cardio room, weights, basketball courts, indoor jogging track. Amongst these floors, you will also find multipurpose courts, indoor pools/spa, locker rooms with showers, Einstein's Bros Bagel and cafe, Rebel Wellness Zone (with massage chairs), dental school office, counseling/psychological services, pharmacy, and the student health center for medical appointments. Proceeding Check-in #6 to the Silver Springs Recreational Center, I will share my thoughts. This is…read morea City of Henderson Recreational Center tucked in the Green Valley community between the Pittman Wash Trail and Silver Springs Park. The amenities that it provides include outdoor swimming pools, tennis, events & activities, a dancing room, and more. It also provides the needs of my recreation, which is hiking. The Silver Springs Recreational Center grounds is connected to the Pittman Wash Trail. It is at my favorite location along the Trail where a picturesque landscape of mature trees provide a canopy of shade throughout the year. At this scenic spot, the Silver Springs Recreational Center grounds extend across Pittman Wash to the amphitheater and Pittman Wash Overlook. Here, hikers are able to ascend down a trail onto hiking trails that follow the meandering wash. Oftentimes on my Pittman Wash Trail, I have turned onto the short walking path between the swimming pools and tennis courts then crossed Silver Springs Parkway into Silver Springs Park across the street. In reality I have been here more than six times. Walking through Silver Springs Park, which I would count as a recreation center amenity has extended my time in the Henderson Great Outdoors. From my visits to the Silver Springs Recreational Center, I discovered that the restrooms are the cleanest restrooms along the Pittman Wash Trail. I am impressed by the high standards of cleanliness in the restroom and throughout the facility. If only Yelp Tips was still around I would of posted this. Recently, after hiking along the Pittman Wash, I found out that they have vending machines. This was very beneficial when I developed a deep thirst on the hike. The $3 bottle of Coke was a lifesaver. The reality is that there is a long distance from the beginning of the Pittman Wash Trail in Arroyo Grande Park to Pecos Road without proximity to cold beverages. Again, I will say "If only Yelp Tips was still around." Before voting on this review, let me bring up "voting." I have early voted here twice during the past two President Elections. My observation is that the Election aspect was managed well, where finding a parking spot could be a challenge. The parking lot here is relatively small to accommodate Election voting and events. I have seen it fill up to the point where people park across the street in the Silver Springs Park parking lot. On the aspect of voting, I will close off this review by casting a vote of Four Stars for the Silver Springs Recreational Center.
