I found the establishment to be immaculate on the inside and that INCLUDES the restroom. Sometimes the restroom is the forgotten part of some businesses and its maintenance is a mere afterthought. Not so here. The attendant Betty was extremely knowledgeable and helpful--along with funny to boot. I explained to her that I was a first-time user and she guided me through the procedures to get my wash done along with what machine might serve me best. She was right. The state-of-the art Electrolux machines were more than adequate. They even have countdown LED timers on the front to tell you how much time remains to complete your wash. And just a brief word on the location. Some people might hear the words Addison Road S. and Capital Heights and have negative connotations. Well leave those preconceived notions at the door. I understand the business to be black-owned and you can tell from the outset that the owner has not shortchanged the African American community by any means and has provided a first rate, quality facility that would be the envy of ANY community. It even has Wi-Fi--although I haven't actually made use of it yet. Pleasant background music which to me means old school R&B. While most people dread laundry day and I won't say that I'm any different, but if you have to do laundry this is the place to be. "IF YOU DON'T KNOW, NOW YOU KNOW." Kudos, WaveMax Tony R.

Not enough operating large washers. There were four of the largest machines costing 27 quarters. I…read morewaited 20 minutes or so, because only two were operating. Which was due to the coins being full to capacity. During entering my quarters it stopped because it would take any more coins. The service guy fixed the issue and proceeded to add the rest of my coins until it was ready to start. I had one more to start with proceeded fine. After the first machine was finished the service guy immediately put an out of order signed up and covered the coin slot with tape. After the second washer was finished. I still had one more large load to finish, so instead of me being able to use the first washer I had to wait until the second washer stopped to load my last load. Immediately afterwards, a out of service sign, and a piece of tape over the coin slot was put up. After finishing my last wash all four of the largest machines were out of service. Something as simple as dumping coins held me up an extra hour or so. Left the laundromat at 9:36pm An improvement would be having a coin collection mid day to avoid this from happening ir earlier in the evening.

I did two loads in the wash and was able to fit both loads into one dryer. I spent $7.25 in total. was a really great experience and i'll definitely be returning soon

By this conversation you know this is a laundry family, the place to be if you need a laundromat. There is a guy here that is probably somebody's grandpa (does he have butterscotch in his pocket?) that was the attendant. He mopped up quickly, he told me it was going to take no less than 30 minutes of drying on low (very true). He was running the place efficiently. It was clean, 90% operable and in a good neighborhood. Although small and they don't take credit cards I will come back if my "Honey Do List" takes me worldwide and back to DC.

I know it seems lazy not to do you're on own laundry, but at one time I had a broken leg. Mr Kim saw me dragging my clothes in out of the rain and he came and actually got them for me. I didn't feel like sitting waiting for my laundry with a big old cast on so I asked him were the wash and fold services available, he said yes. I came back a day later my clothes were washed and folded perfectly. When I got back on my feet no pun intended, and was working three jobs I just didn't have the time to do the laundry. I would drop the clothes off in the morning and come back in the evening and they were done. Well I didn't keep 3 jobs so I begrudgingly started doing my laundry again and found that I was spoiled spoiled by Mr Kim. After about a year of not having him do my laundry I came back he remembered my name remember my son's and here we go again this is a wonderful service for people that are stretched for time. The laundromat is always clean and well maintained. I really appreciate Mr Kim and his wife and the people that work there.
