There are tons of seated and fast-casual restaurants and bars. We had drinks at Villian & Saint, dinner at Amada and brunch at Harper's. All were great. Loved the ocean views at Amada. The Eclipse indoor / outdoor pool was really nice. I was here on an unseasonably warm day, and it's nice that they keep this pool open. It seems like most other resorts close their outdoor pool. Even if it's chilly out you could always hang in the hot tub! The views overlooking the ocean are 10/10. If you don't want to hang by the pool there are plenty of other nice outdoor spaces that face the water. I loved hanging out on the rocking chair and could've posted up there for hours. Staff was friendly and let us check in early. Parking was a reasonable $15. This is a splurge - we stayed at the Tropicana the next night and it was a compltely different experience. For my birthday it was definitely worth the treat.

I live in Las Vegas and come from a hospitality background, so I'll admit I probably notice hotel details more than the average traveler. That said, I also know every city has its own personality, and Atlantic City is definitely not Vegas nor should it be. I arrived around 8 PM after flying into Philadelphia and making the drive over, so between the long travel day and the time difference, I was exhausted. Check-in was easy, and I was given a room on the 35th floor with an absolutely beautiful view of the ocean, boardwalk, and city. The room was very clean, well maintained, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. I ordered room service that first night, which was super convenient because the TV has the room service menu and other hotel information right there. I placed my order, jumped in the shower, got dressed, and by the time I was finished the doorbell was ringing. Perfect timing! The food was delicious, and the portions were definitely large enough to share. The next morning I went to the gym, and I have to give Ocean major credit here, the gym is AMAZING. It was also surprisingly busy early in the morning. My only suggestion would be opening it earlier than 6 AM. I'm a 4 or 5 AM gym person when I'm traveling so I can work out, get ready, and still have plenty of time before the workday starts. Having Starbucks inside the property is another big plus, and being able to use the Starbucks app to pay made it even better. I also had brunch at Harper's. The food was good and, once again, the portions were huge. Later I walked the boardwalk, rode the Ferris wheel, and really enjoyed getting to experience Atlantic City for the first time. For dinner, I ate at LaScala's Fire. Our waiter was great and provided excellent service. The food itself was a little under-seasoned for my taste, so I had to doctor it up a bit, but service-wise I had no complaints. One thing I really liked from a security standpoint is that you have to scan your room key before entering the hotel elevator area. The property itself is HUGE. I honestly don't think I explored even half of it during my stay. Since I visited during the off season, it was a little quieter, but I can imagine this place is a completely different animal during peak season. Overall, I had a very good stay. The views were stunning, my room was clean and comfortable, the food portions were generous, the gym was fantastic, and I slept great both nights. If I had one area of feedback, it would be that some of the employee interactions felt a little less warm or personable than what I'm used to. But coming from Las Vegas hospitality, I also recognize that Vegas has its own very particular style of service. Atlantic City has more of that East Coast, straight to the point personality, you know exactly where you stand! I noticed Ocean has some pretty rough reviews, but that really wasn't my experience. I think sometimes people walk into a casino resort expecting every single detail, comp, or interaction to go exactly the way they envisioned. I went in ready to experience a new city for what it was, and I genuinely enjoyed my stay. I would absolutely stay at Ocean again on another Atlantic City trip.

The room wasn't renovated but was clean, spacious, and had a firm mattress that made me realize I need one at home. Outdated? Yes. Gross? Nope. That's a win in AC. Staff were friendly and helpful, which helped balance out the parking-garage stairwell that had garbage, urine, and empty liquor bottles. Inside, though, the creepy charm kind of worked -- big empty rooms, quiet halls, and plenty of privacy even when crowded. The hotel room was clean, comfy, and weirdly likable. Unfortunately, our experience fell far below reasonable expectations, and I would like to formally document several serious concerns. On the morning of June 20, we visited The Twenties restaurant for breakfast. While waiting to be seated, I witnessed two tables leave due to a lack of service, and a third nearly did the same. Once we were seated, two different staff members provided conflicting information, and it was clear that there was significant confusion among the team. Most concerning, one employee audibly exclaimed, "Fuck!" in front of guests, including my two children. We also experienced significant issues with the elevators throughout our stay. On one occasion, we waited more than 15 minutes for an elevator while one of my children, who has a disability, was unable to stand comfortably for an extended period. We specifically chose this hotel because of its accessibility features and multiple elevators. At one point, approximately 10 guests were waiting, which suggests an ongoing issue. Additionally, the cleanliness of the property was unacceptable. In the women's restroom near the pool, there was a used tampon visible inside the artificial plant located to the right of the entrance. I found this extremely unsanitary and immediately left the pool area. When I checked again the following day, the item had still not been removed. The walkway connecting the parking garage to the lobby had a strong, persistent odor of urine, creating an unpleasant and unsanitary first impression. Finally, after using the shower in our room on the evening of our arrival, the steam revealed drawings and markings on the bathroom mirror that had not been cleaned, leading us to question the overall cleanliness and preparation of the room. I travel frequently and have stayed in a wide range of accommodations. This was, without question, one of the most disappointing experiences I have encountered due to the condition of the property, the cleanliness issues, and the lack of service.

Comfy bed & pillows. And the view from the window was wonderful! The bad side - the several hours I was there, it was 84 degrees the entire time. I realize I was in the next to the top floor & science tells us that heat rises. The thermostat would only go down to 65, no more. Due to my plans changing & me being able to stay with a friend at a nearby hotel, I didn't bring it up to the front desk, but had I stayed the night, I definitely would have. I do recommend this location, but doubt I'll be back in AC for anything.

For the entire weekend -- from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning -- there was no hot water. They weren't able to shower at all. That's not just uncomfortable, it's unsanitary, especially when you're far from home with no easy way to leave. The hallways were hot and super humid, and the air quality was awful. On top of that, a power outlet in their room didn't even work, and the scariest part -- there was brown, sticky condensation (they described it smelling like old cigarettes) dripping onto their bedsheets and phone charger. That could've caused a fire. They told the hotel staff more than once, but no one seemed to care. No real response. No solution. Not even an apology. It's frustrating and honestly upsetting to know my family was stuck in that situation and felt ignored. They were excited for a fun weekend and ended up stuck in an uncomfortable, potentially unsafe room, with no hot water, and no support from the hotel. Very disappointed in Marriott for allowing this kind of thing to happen. I expected better from such a big name.

When I was last here, I stayed at the Courtyard on the strip and it was horrible... poor security, the valets looked like the pot smokers on the street, so much pot smell everywhere within and outside the hotel, etc. So this time I opted for this place, especially since it was connected to the convention center. If it wasn't for being connected to the convention center, I wouldn't imagine that anyone would ever stay here. Looks like the last time it was renovated was in the 90's, as it is in serious need of repair, updating, and fixing! Checking in was nice, the lady who checked me in hit all the marks, but was very insincere in doing so, she was just going through the motions. Once I got to the room, the first thing I noticed was the wrinkled carpet with big bumps under it and the poorly maintained room. The HVAC was loud and annoying. The bathroom had a tub and didn't even have bottles of shampoo, shower gel, etc on the wall; rather, they provide small bottles on the sink, which they didn't refresh after my first use/night using them... and to make it worse, they took what I did use, but didn't finish, so I had nothing! The bed was sagging and needs new mattress. The TV was horrible, it was the old style with no Pluto or other streaming services. I could go on and on about the horrible condition of the room or the poor way housekeeping kept it up. The kicker was the TERRIBLE valet... I enjoyed a decent experience dropping off the car the first time and tipped nicely. I picked up the car once and that was ok, not fast, but I still tipped nicely. Then when it was time to checkout, I used the text link to request the car and it came up with something about payment, but nothing to get the car. So, I called the desk and she told me to just use the app, but when I told her it said this, she said she'd call the valet for me. I came down about 10 mins later and went outside and waited about 10 minutes and nothing, so I went back in and asked again and she called the valet. I went back outside, waited about 5 mins, still nothing. I went back in again and asked her and she told me he said he was getting the car... I waited in the lobby this time and about 5 mins later the guy (horrible employee guy) showed up with my car. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes for my car - the kicker was that this was at 4:30AM when I started!! How Absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! The combination of the front desk lady's nonchalant demeanor, the extremely terribly lazy valet guy's service, and the poor conditions of the property make this a one star for me.

I saw the Totally Tubular festival, which was a variety show of several 80s bands. (The original acts, not cover bands.) The venue is located inside the Ocean Casino Resort. Ovation Hall is medium sized--definitely not intimate, but also nothing like a true arena. Acoustics were pretty good, and there are giant TVs on each side of the stage to see closeups of the performers. Overall the show went smoothly, with only one or two minor technical glitches, which seemed pretty good for the first night of a showcase tour. A friend and I sat on the side of the venue and still had a clear view. I thought it was worth it for $50 tickets (per person). This was a winter show, so none of the summertime beach traffic. The casino was busy but not overwhelmingly so. It was pretty easy to find parking and locate the venue inside. (Also it's not very smoky inside.) There are drinks available in Ovation Hall itself as well as small snacks. You can get more substantial food outside in the casino. Overall, I had a good experience at Ovation Hall, and I'll keep it on my radar for future shows.

Swanky decor, elegant furniture, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Elizabeth showed us all they had to offer, and we knew this was the venue for us. Our vision was to have a less traditional wedding layout. We wanted the space to feel more like a lounge and less like a run-of-the-mill wedding reception (we requested couches and high-top tables mixed in with regular tables). One Atlantic worked with us to create and execute our unique vision. We had our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at One Atlantic and it could not have been any more perfect. Eileen and Paul were FANTASTIC during the planning, right up until (and including) the day of our wedding. Every little detail came to fruition, and everything flowed beautifully. Glasses were kept full, the excellent food was free-flowing (we had a cocktail-style reception with small plates being butlered all night), and the acoustics made for a hopping good time on the dance floor. We even ordered 150 White House subs as part of our "to go" favor, and the One Atlantic team took care of it all for us. It was exceptional! We have received non-stop compliments about the venue, the friendliness of the staff, and the amazing food. Our guests had a phenomenal time! We truly had the best evening ever at One Atlantic. And how great is it that we can honestly say that the best wedding we've been to is our own? Right on! No party is too big nor too small for One Atlantic. Check them out and get ready to "Wow" the life out of your family and friends!

They gave us a "complimentary upgrade" to the Ocean Tower even though we had booked 2 months ago for the Rendezvous Tower. We were not impressed with the "upgrade". It was like they divided 2 rooms to make one. The TV is too far from the bed to really watch it, the sofa was dirty and stained. The bathrooms were much smaller with 24" vanity in bathrooms with no place to place your toiletries. The shower was nice ...and extremely slippery. Yes they did supply a rubber mat that was probably 18" long at best. So proper placement before water hits the slippery floor was imperative. The sink faucets cold water was always warm and the shower water was at best lukewarm. We did go and complain about this and they offered us a "comped" meal at the VIP. More about that later in this post. We have ALWAYS had some sort of water view (even if so slight) and with the upgrade we got a dirty rooftop with spotlights ‍ Casino floor had very few "cocktail" Waitresses for water or coffee (we don't drink) We were also "comped" VIP dining for one night. It was horrible. Dried jerk chicken, pork was under cooked, the soup was like a salt lick and just a couple of bite size dessert options. I guess they expect people to just go and drink. Good thing I was able to fill up on a salad and lemon water. Not sure if we'll be coming back to this casino in the future.

It was cute a lot of local businesses decorated trees, and they looked so pretty lined up. I wished it was a bit better promoted than one boardwalk champion because it was pretty and festive. While I was there, I read some of the signs about the town's history. There were some great vintage signs and photos and a Mr. Peanut costume. Even if you are not here for an event, it's an informative little museum inside that's worth a few minutes of your time.
