The therapist gave me a medium hard (on my request) hour long massage that magically took care both problem areas. She was professional, very courteous and pleasant. The place is not fancy but very clean. It will my go-to place if I hurt myself again.

I requested a 45 min foot massage and 45 min neck/shoulder massage. I got. 90 min full body massage. The ability to communicate is terrible. They ask "this ok?" During the massage for pressure and you say yes or no but I think that is the extent of their ability to understand what you say. I only came here because my regular place in Westfield was booked same day but I don't think it be coming back. It wasn't a very relaxing environment.

I was very enthusiastic about going to the spa which was relatively close to my home. Since the…read moreCovid pandemic, it's been difficult to find a decent massage spa and I was excited to go to one which got relatively good ratings. My appointment time for my massage was 10 AM, however, when I arrived at the location about 15 minutes before the appointment, I saw that there was no sign that Utopia was actually at the address as listed. As such, I called the phone number for the location to make sure that the address was correct on the Groupon which I had for this massage. No one answered. I decided when it was 10 AM to try to enter the building, and I had to press a bell for another retailer at this location who answered and told me, yes, Utopia was inside the location. When I looked around, again, there was no signage indicating that Utopia was inside the building at all. A gentleman pointed me towards the door for Utopia, Also with No name on it, closed, so i waited. About 15 minutes later the owner showed up. No apology. She seem to be a little taken aback that I was there for the 10 AM appointment although she did schedule me for a 10 AM appointment. I handed her the Groupon and I did comment to her that you know it was difficult to find this place as there was no signage. The appointment time was supposed to begin at 10 AM. She took the Groupon for me, processed it and then suddenly take a looked at me says you give me a negative energy and I'm not doing this. I complained that I've been waiting for her and that I had already given her the Groupon for the massage which she redeemed! She then turned to me and using foul language expressed racist epithets. I complained to her that it was no right for her to speak to me in this way as I was simply pointing out that she was not on time, and that the location had no sign for it. She got even more in enraged, followed me out all the while cursing at me loudly as I left the building. Avoid at all costs, no run away from Utopia Spa and Lounge. It is not utopia in any sense of the word. This owner is unprofessional, disrespectful, obnoxious, racist, to say the least And lacks in any semblance of customer service. She should be avoided at all costs. If you can ever even find the place, don't bother. Go to another massage therapist anywhere but here.

If you're looking for a no frills "spa", but a great massage, you'll like this place…read more For what you pay, this place is great. But if you're expecting a quiet and relaxing environment like you're at a traditional spa or 5-star hotel, this is not the place for you. If you're okay with noise in the background such as doors opening and closing, people talking in the hallway, timers going off, etc then you won't mind this place. There are separate rooms, but the walls in between don't go to the ceiling, so you can hear everything going on in the other rooms as well as at the front. I could hear when someone walked in the front door as well as their entire conversation with the front desk staff. They play nice spa music, but it doesn't drown out all of the background noise. All of that aside, I booked with Cindy since she was mentioned in a couple of Google reviews. The massage itself was great, and I'd recommend her if you try this place out. She didn't ask about pressure, but I'd say she did medium / deep tissue. I'm sure if you want a lighter pressure, you could ask, but I didn't mind. Also, they don't pressure you to tip a certain amount. I tipped 20% because Cindy was great, but I read at some neighboring spas they pressure you to tip a certain amount, which I found to be strange. However, here you can tip what you feel is right. Overall, the staff was very nice, the place is clean & the massage is great. There's nothing luxurious about this place, but if all you care about is a great massage and great service, you'll like Village Spa.

Although the rooms are separated, the walls aren't closed so I could hear the front desk phone ringing and the front staff opening/closing the door.
