We called North Bay Roofing up at 9:30 in the morning. The company also uses large 4-hour appointment windows (8 AM-12 PM or 12 PM-4 PM) for inspections. As a landlord, I was uncomfortable sitting outside the property for hours waiting for the technician to arrive, as I did not want to appear intrusive or make tenants uncomfortable. The phone representative assured me the technician would call before arriving, but that did not happen. Overall, the experience reflected poor customer service and poor communication between departments from the very beginning. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Capstone Roofing.

Jesse responded promptly along with a few other companies. While they mentioned not doing the other works since they specialise in roof jobs, we decided to give the Solar Panel cleaning to them. What instilled confidence to get them over were the all 5* reviews and the Yelp guarantee that came along. Jesse communicated through the Yelp messaging and we fixed the appointment. He came punctually, was thorough with his job, we also asked him if he could add to his services the blowing of the leaves etc. from the roof which he promptly agreed to (we also agreed for a separate fee for the added work). But the biggest reason I wanted to give them 5 stars is the way they handled an issue with my roof install. When they first came out to install the roof they had just started working with a new roofing supplier that makes the panels on-site. The panel company didn't do a great job, and left the roofing crew with defective, slightly curved panels, which we didn't catch until the roof was 2/3 installed. Once it became obvious that there was an issue, the crew tried a bunch of different things to try to get them to look good, but ultimately had to pull those panels and go back to their previous supplier. Nobody could have expected that the first set of panels would come out the way they did, and I definitely don't blame them. They were as surprised as I was. But Crandall Roofing handled the situation exceptionally well. From the beginning they made sure that I knew their priority was to get the roof done right. They never tried to pull anything over on me, and I know they lost a lot of money on my job. And when I brought that up they told me that wasn't something I should be concerned with, and that their main concern was getting the roof done right. Everyone wants a job to go perfectly from the start. But this is life and sometimes you get a curveball, like a batch of bad metal. But the best companies are the ones who make sure it ends up perfect no matter what. And that's what these guys did. I can't recommend them enough and will definitely call them back when we decide to out in an ADU.
