We had a mini-split in our previous house, and were very impressed with it's efficiency. The electric bills were not excessive, and it kept our house really warm. After getting several bids, we selected Lamphear Service Company (from the Grand Rapids area) to install it. Their price was amazing! We had to wait a few months until they had it in stock again (the unit is now made by Mitsubishi/ Trane) since it was so popular. Lamphere consistently exceeded our expectations. EVERY employee from there was incredibly nice, and a pleasure to deal with. The company was honest, thorough, and experienced at installing these mini-splits. Now that our unit is up and running, we are SO happy with it, and glad that we used Lamphere to buy it from. Knowing that they were a Better Business Bureau member gave us additional peace of mind. We highly recommend them!

The service people are professional, timely and pricing is more that reasonable. My furnace was only 9 years old (that DeHaan installed) with a 10 yr warrenty. After several attempts to "fix" it, the conculsion was to install a new furnace vs a band aid as there was no way of knowing how long the band aid would hold. Obtaining the new furnace, installing, pricing and professionalism of all involved is beyond compare. I was given another 10 year warrenty to boot and remember to turn in a form to get the $200 rebate from consumers energy. Above all, the installers left the basement clean and just as they found it when they enterd my home. My business partner, who is an electrical engineer/licensed master electrician, recommended Hulst as they did a good job installing his air conditioning system. (Our business is building diesel fueled heat drying systems for water damage restoration.) The Hulst people are friendly and quick to respond. Their quotation was both very fair and the lowest bid. They offer the Daikin brand furnaces which have a good reputation. We bought the high efficiency furnaces with the two stage burners and ECM motors and added wifi linked thermostats for programming and making setting adjustments using a smart phone. Rather than having a zone heating system for the two floors of our walkout home, we have two separate furnaces. Doing so enables the furnaces to be sized for the heat load of each floor instead of having a single large furnace capable of heating the entire house. The Hulst technicians installed both furnaces in a day. Their workmanship was very good and they were thorough. They explained the working of the system to us, set up the phone apps, and made a follow up visit to make sure everything was just right.

Hulst Heating & Cooling installed this HVAC system in the crawlspace of my new-build lake home in 2012. These are the furnace exhaust and fresh air intake pipes installed under an enclosed deck. I was told by one of their repairman 3 yrs ago that they had some bad people working for them at that time and this proves it. Fortunately, the emergency shut-off systems were working on the furnace and shut it down due to extreme heat build-up within the furnace or carbon monoxide detection. Ryan Hulst, the owner, has refused to fix their shoddy workmanship. Avoid at all cost!
