As someone who gets an obnoxious amount of spam calls, to the point I don't answer unknown numbers, I greatly appreciated the text messages about my item.

It was neat to just use an app and add money/time to your wash load that way. I had movies and books on my phone, brought my headphones, and did my own thing while waiting for the laundry to finish.
