I waited all day for someone to come by. Now I have texted them to get a scheduled date and they told me next week, but nothing. Emailed again, nothing, called and all I get is answering machine. If they do not want to do the work, at least let me know so I can get someone else. If they are busy, then say that. He called me back the same day and then came out a few days later to look at my roof. He gave me several different options depending on how much I wanted to spend. I knew I wanted him to fix the cap shingles on the peak and he quoted his rate for that work over the phone before he came. He pointed out some areas of the roof to monitor but did not make a hard sell--he said if I wasn't seeing any leaks he didn't want to possibly make things worse. He came back when he promised, did the work quickly and cleaned everything up before he left. It took him a bit longer to do the repairs than he expected, but he didn't charge me any extra. But the quote came quickly and was quite detailed. It included a good brand of the white EPDM I wanted. It was just as good or better than the quotes from some other bigger players. The price was much better too. So I hoped the no frills meant less overhead. I did check for reviews and they were good. So I decided to go with JM even though it was very hard to find much company presence on the internet. Communicating with Juan via text messages worked very well. I asked to add a plywood cover board and to help me locate the rafters and he was very accommodating. The team came out and Robin was in charge. He spoke English well enough to give me assurances they were going to do what I wanted. The biggest reason for replacing the membrane roof on my flat roof was to ready it for a solar panel installation, which I planned to do myself, if only I could get the 8 panels up on the roof. I'd asked Juan if the team could put the panels on the roof after the job was done. He was agreeable. Robin had the boys do it and did a good job of ensuring no damage to the new membrane by having them put an insulation board under them. Since then I've been up on that roof installing my panels and admiring JM Exteriors Roofing and Siding's work. Thank you so much.
